"It's not about the cost of the watch, it's about the journey to saving up enough money to that goal". I love your videos, Johnny!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you got something valuable out of it!
I could listen this guy talk for hours straight, he is so chill he just bring piece in my stressed mind. Keep it up man! ❤️
Hey Johnny,
I am a Sri Lankan and so thankful for uploading this video. So inspiring and I ve set my goals and making plans... thanks buddy..!
I love it! I'm glad I was able to inspire you!
You are so encouraging, I’m still here from your Tbilisi videos. Love your advice and content
Me too! The tbilisi video was my first. Seems like a really genuine dude.
I'm so glad! Glad you've been following my videos for almost a year now!
My buddy had a goal of making 100k a month he had to do it 3 months in a row and when he hit it he got a pair of sunglasses. Now he has the same goal to get a $60,000 GTR he needs to hit $1M a month. Delayed gratification is super important.
Yeah same. I will buy a new pair of underwear when I make $10M a month.
Great video. I read about the watch story in Johnny's book, and it really resonated with me. This video added extra details to the story. After the 2008 recession, I came up with a similar goal: once I got rich again I would buy a certain Patek Phillipe watch that costs about $20k new, or about $10k used. Of course, it's a stupid mechanical watch that I would have to wind up every day- and probably just keep it in my drawer most of the time while I wore my Fitbit. After I "made" it again, I decided that I better try to get my head straight. So I went shopping online and found a beautiful antique mechanical watch for about $800. As soon as it arrived I realized that I had dodged an emotional bullet. Thank gosh. As soon as the antique watch arrived I knew that I had scratched that itch, that I had saved thousands, and that I needed to start looking for my next goal! ;)
Johnny we would get along great. lol You seem like a good honest dude with a good heart and that's the kind of people I have in my small circle. My goal right now is to pay off my house which I have five years left on. I know this video is old but it's a good video with great advice so thanks for posting. Cheer's!!
Get it paid off Dalton! I'm rooting for you!
Yo Johnny, I loved hearing the watch story. 2 years late, but it's a great story, and a simple, great lesson.
I'm actually itching to know the model of Citizen watch so I can look it up!!!!
I love affordable watches that have meaning to the owner, and don't really get the luxury watch hype.

You're my hero Johnny, even though I"m an old man. You're discribing an 'event' called cognative dissonance. Keep up the videos
Thanks for that! I had heard the term in the past, but had to look it up again, you're right.
In the field of psychology, cognitive dissonance occurs when a person holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values; or participates in an action that goes against one of these three, and experiences psychological stress because of that.
Very interesting thanks from Iceland
Takk, Glad you enjoyed it!
What I would like to do is to travel by bike or other ways. I would like to make videos on youtube, but many and safety of travel by yourself is a big down factor.
Johnny I get how you need to focus on a goal, and if you could afford that watch it didn’t matter how much it was, its about the goal, and that’s what life is all about🥇🏆
Without goals, we are lost. I need to set some new ones for 2022. =)
You are still THE man, Johnny!
I want to make 5k net profit every single month. Nothing fancy.
I would like to make $1000 a month, enough to quit my corporate job and move to a beautiful place like Thailand. I currently make about $300 a month through David Vu's method but havent been able to scale it up.
$300 a month is a good start. You've proven to yourself that you can make money online and that it works. Now you just gotta figure out how to either. A. Scale it up. B. Use that experience to pivot. or C. Hire and Outsource.
wow you are lucky man, I have been to thailand a few times and it is clear to me the people are better and the food is better, for example people here in USA pay 900 baht to eat plastic and aborted fetus disguised as a burger then work in a really dirty environment and encouraged to always be alone miserably working like a slave to rarely get any real sunlight or real food no wonder health is such a problem here..I'm trying to get out but all flights grounded due to corona virus
Thailand really is paradise. The 365 days of Sunshine was one of the main main reasons I first made the move out there. Amazing Thai food, low costs of living, friendly smiling people, were all bonuses that have encouraged me to stay there for some many years.
Good story. Love the symbolism.
Life Goals is very important. 👏👏👏
Great Video Johnny, always a inspiration
thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Johnny, you're such a troll lol. Love it. I was like no, no, $30,000 on a citizen please no, oh $200 that's ok lol.
hahahaa thanks James. Some of the Grand Seiko's go for $10,000 though which always surprised me.
@@JohnnyFD I love grand Seiko! Such a great watch, the Spring drive has the power (automatic from your wrist) and elegance of a mechanical watch but the accuracy of a quartz. Worth every penny in my opinion.
Seiko started that not Citizen.
Great vlog mate, :) You were coughing a bit on this Vlog?
I'm good, it's just dry in the morning. =)
Johnny FD ok :) can you make a vlog, on your tattoos the meaning behind them?
Great video, inspiring and - TBH - really informative in a way.
Hi Johnny. I went way back to this video for some reason. I found it crazy you were only making $48,000 a year, n California, After having graduated with honors. It's just crazy. In the 1987 movie Wallstreet Charlie Sheen's character complained about only making $55,000 a year! in 1987! USA is a slave colony and I am so happy for you for getting out.
Hello, Johnny! I am so glad I clicked on this video, as it gave me inspiration to keep saving money to reach my goal. A couple of month ago I opened a deposit in ukrainian bank "Monobank" and called it "This to the USA". My goal is to save up a $10 000 for the trip to USA at least once in my lifetime, and if/once I'll have the opportunity I want to know I am ready to do it money-wise. Right now it seems like a good dream walking out from the US embassy with a travel visa in my hands, but this is what keeping me moving forward with a goal in my mind.
Funny moment: from the beginning of the video I knew you didn't buy the 30k watch :)
Keep up the savings and you'll reach your goals sooner than you think! This to the USA! =)
My goal is to save $45,000 so I can pay off my mortgage in rural Thailand. Then I want to fund a school building for my charity program in Cambodia. #goals
That would be an awesome goal to fulfill! Keep it up!
@@JohnnyFD Thanks man. I was hoping to try drop-shipping again but this virus outbreak has put a stop to that...
Thankfully I'm an online teacher so the quarantine means lots of extra work, so I'm stacking cash and trying to learn as much as I can.
Johnny crazy value in our mind but the things are nothing
Go to Indonesia, you will be an instant Multi Millionaire... 😊
ගොඩක් ලස්සනයි ජොනී
Bar fining girls and ladyboys eats into your budget very quickly in Thailand.
IntotheFire lol just go to a beach hostel and share the tab with the chicks staying in your room
I would like to save $25k for an elite Visa for Thailand. That would be great!!
Man if you can save, $25 invest smart and you will be able to live in better places than Thailand
I have a couple of friends who have it and really love it.
@@Thomas-kw9je I love Pattaya. Fallen for the place. Would love to try Philippines as well.
I have more than that already
I want this 18 minutes of my life back....that you just wasted
That's nothing compared to the time you're going to waste the next 18 years by not learning anything from lessons like this....
Lol, a professional fighter what? I saw you train, what are you talking about? I'm not a hater, i love your videos but i'm a bjj Brown belt with a couliflower ear, i know what i talking about.
Your a milonare 😳
Hey Johnny. Love the videos been trying to watch and read everything you've put out, very inspiring. I guess the first thing I want to do is save up to take Antons course to start somewhere. I'm on the front lines with all this Corona stuff so it's hard to find time when I'm not sleeping because of exhaustion. From there I want to save up 25k and start with making about 5k a month first. I don't really have an item I want to buy I just want to make enough to see the world. Soni guess the item I want is quite literally the world. Thanks for the content!
