Bannerlord Battanian Tactical Dominance + I need your help fellas!

- In this unique episode, I ask that we share assistance. I offer tactics on how to mangle foes with Battania in three different battles, and I'll use different microphones and I'd ask YOU fellas for feedback here. Please let me know in the comments which mic you prefer and leave specific reviews on Mic #1 #2 or #3 so I can progressively weed out the bad tech in my arsenal. Thanks fellas and hope this episode helps some of you crush it with Battania!
Heya fellas! I appreciate in advance your feedback on these mic options! Also, I forgot to add, can you tell me fellas if you see ANY ads in this episode? If so, how many, or how often? I am getting notifications from youtube informing me that they reserve the right to place ads, even if I don't 'monetize' videos, so I am curious how insidious it is. I also have had several 'copyright strikes' from music that I was told was OK to use, copyright-free, only to learn that it is NOT, only to find that THEY TOO can advertise.
When it comes to ads, I barely have any. Of course, I'm on my laptop which I get less ads on than I do my phone. When it comes to mics, first was fine, I think I'm used to (dare I say) a nasally voice. The second one is clearer (I can even hear the clicking of keys) but lacks that signature voice. The third (distorts or clears, I'm not sure) has your signature voice and is clearer than the second. Third I think is the best.
I like Mike number one the best. Regarding the ads, I didn't see any of this episode.
@@bigg.3466 Thanks for the feedback.
I didn’t see any adds, the second mic was distracting for me. The third was best I think, the first was also good if you like that one.
I'm on premium. I therefore will not see ads. I literally get zero ads. As for the mics, given how accustomed I've gotten to the first mic, it changes how I hear it, but the second and third are clearer. Personally I think I would get accustomed to any of them given a few episodes
Mic 1 seemed the clearest option
#2 for me is the best..clearest sound of all the mics. Love the vids keep up the good work :)
Mic 2 is my favorite. At least with the settings you used today, mic 1 was too tinny, mic 3 was too lispy, and mic 2 was Goldilocks.
Flesson19, another great Bannerlords UA-camr, has been doing an Aserai only run on his channel for the past two months.
Your content had been very entertaining and informative. I was able to implement some of your reverse slope tactics to save myself today. I play on console and got caught by a 950 man Vlandian army against my 373 man army. My army was high level, but playing console means I only had 150 troops to defend with at a time. Won with only 60 overall casualties. I’m using Battania with no cavalry at all too. Thanks for all your tactical advice!
You got it, and I LOVE it when guys experience success adding some of the stuff we've shown here, makes my day. Cheers!
Mic 1 was far and away the worst. It had some sort of scratchy high pitched sound that made me wince. the other two are fine though I personally prefer #3. Thanks for the videos :)
Long time listener first time caller.
2nd mic would be my preference followed by the 1st. The third one sounds more like your older videos, which is nice for a little nostalgia bump but the quality is definitely lower. Looking forward to this next campaign.
Thanks for voting I appreciate the feedback bud.
Great video. A good note for wildlings is that if you put them in engage they will maintain throwing range with the enemy formation and only use javelins until they either run out of ammo or the enemy gets into melee range. Also if you put your wildlings in loose formation more of them will throw javelins simultaneously unlike in line or shield wall where only the front rows will do so. Combine this strategy with a high movement speed banner and the wildlings can rake in a shitton of kills.
I like this. I have used engage before but often times it yields unpleasant results, like them perma-running when chased by cav. Still in certain situations you're absolutely right. Wish they could 'engage' other infantry but SQUARE automatically if attacked by cav...
You can target your engage command on the enemy infantry. If you do this they won't run away from anyone but the infantry.
Mic 2. No ads for me.
Mic 1 or 2 i dont mind. Its gotten to a point that id rather watch you than playing
same lol, he better
the mic used against the empire was definitely the best
#3 is best. nice video. that second one was close!
How many loyal viewers immediately pressed 'E' on the keyboards when your commander fell in battle at the end of number 3? ....or was it just me? 🤣
# 2 MIC
What I noticed is that you had a nice hill behind you. I usually use hills to remove the speed boost damage by enemy cav when they collide with my front line. It slows them down enough to where it gives your archers time to fire. Cav traveling uphill towards fian champs and a shield wall is always bad news for cav.
The third one is the best, I believe. Crisp!
Mike 1 for sure
Ever since I saw one of your vids, I started loving Bannerlord again since you provide insightful and entertaining content at the same time. I'm curious, do you use any mods in handling corp formations?
No Mods for my army breakdown. I just use vanilla #1-8. I appreciate the kind words!
Mic number 1 is the best
Definitely going with the second mic. Sounds clearer
Mic Nr. 2
3 Sounds cheap, 2 Sounds clearest, but one has a bit deeper , warmer voice which I like Most.
Mic #2
Hello friend! I liked mic #1 best. Maybe if you could do something about the second one in regards to picking up mouse and keyboard clicking, then that would maybe be better. It's a bit crazy to hear how fast and often you click. :p Thanks for the dope content man!
definetly mic 2
The first is the worst, it has an electronic buzz sound throughout. The second is my choice for your new Mic hands down. It has more bass and none of the electronic hiss the other 2 have. The third battle has a sharp treble that makes a hiss at the end of some of your words. My humble opinion. Thanks!
I like mic 1 the most but I don't mind mic 2
What I ment went was at times when you say division 4 it would pop up and say on the top of the screen and repeat the square command for example at time 12:00 min in the episode
Mic #2 sounds the clearest.
Thanks for the feedback bud!
Call me odd one out, prefered Mic #1.
While I voted for the other two, soundwise I almost prefer the first one, and that's partly because I think we're accustomed to his voice from that mic
Number 2
The first was definitely smoother
mic #2
Nr 2 with the settings you have on
Thank you.
I heard a lot of keyboard noise with Mic #2. Mic #3 is breathy and buzzy. Mic #1 felt familiar - that's my vote.
Can we see some offensive tactics? As in how to attack an enemy's defensive position? Some of us prefer to play with a superior force 😅
MIC 2
Mic 1 was clearest. Mic2 second and mic3 had the poorest sound quality on my system.
Using earbuds/headphones. #2 is my favorite yeah there is keyboard sounds but it has the best audio quality. #1 feels like the receiver is shaking from his voice which add a light buzzing sound that follows the commentary. #3 sounds a little fuzzy, like the best way I can describe it is like when your ears need to pop
I like to see Sturgia only tactics. Just a request. I was trying to do a on foot campaign and know it is possible but maybe I just don’t know how to use them right. Empire and aserai I’m really good with. Honestly my aserai only campaign which you inspired is probably my favorite culture now and the faris vanguard is a great unit I don’t use them to block like with heavy cav I hold fire until heavy cav is almost on us fire and then have them take off following me encircle archers with them etc. but yeah I want to do a sturgia only campaign but I believe they are the hardest to play culture
mic #2 sounded good to me!
Thanks for the feedback, Mic #2 is certainly winning. Now to add a pop-filter, quiet mouse and keyboard and I think we're off and running...
Personally I think mic 2...
The first mic to my old man tinnitus infested ears sounded warm, (we're about the same age, even though it isn't particularly old, it's old enough as they say). The second had the most clarity although quite a bit of mid range. The third mic there was a little too much hiss. Mic 2 I think is best if you can eliminate some of the mid.
I prefer mic 1, mic 2 was okay as well.
#2
Mic 1
Mike 2 for me
Mic 3
mic 1 with a tiny bit of volume, sounds more crisp with a close mic 2 for a second with a pop filter but may make the sound muffled.
Mic 2
I personally like Mic 2 more. It had a higher volume but it wasn’t as intense on the ears, if that makes sense. Mic 3 had a really intense sound that I didn’t appreciate
1 or 3
How do you have it to wear if you wrer to tell division 4 to form a square on the top the scroll will say what you said and im on console just so you know and i love your content and i like the 1st mike the best i like the og sound
#2 with a pop filter would be perfect, I think.
Mic 1 really picks up your s's but sounds clearest but it loses the gravitas in your voice that you have in mic 2. Mic 2 I think gets the lows as well as the highs and sounds a lot more human. As others have said you can hear keyboard presses, could maybe mess with a noise gate and see if yo ucan make it so keypresses dont activate the mic but your voice will. 3rd mic gets all your s sounds and pops your p's. Would need to hear it with a pop filter to fairly compare. But with current settings mic 2 is getting my vote.
Hey it's been a month since I lost a battle badly, and I hardly lose at all. Thanks!
Mic2
2 for me
I’d say it’s up to the flip of a coin.
#1 Is decent and very clear sounding. I think it’s the best of both worlds mic and would be a pleasant pick.
#2 Is very good but as another commenter said you might need “pop” filter as the Ps really pop. Other than that and a slight muffle it’s great quality.
#3 Is the most Sean Stricklandy sounding and sounds like your older vids. This one is my favorite but the S sounds in words is very off putting not sure if it’s an easy fix but still far from unbearable.
Anyone you pick it doesn’t matter to us. We are just here for your stellar commentary, elite tactics, and florid lexicon.
First mic sounded the cleanest. It felt like you were talking in person, not on a video.
Thanks for the feedback. It's the headset mic I prefer, but most people liked 2.
I’ll have a #2 please
Tiers
1. Mic #2
2. Mic #1
N/A Mic#3
mic 2
#2, #3... As for what we are accustomed to hearing, it doesn't really matter, we will get accustomed to the new version within a couple episodes
Mic 2 tho mic 1 was good too
I like mic 2 the most, mic 3 seems to have some kind of buzzing noise in the background
Got one ad at the start
Im def a battanian main. Ive been exploring more with tactics and not just spamming fians lol, but what I found is that though the horsemen are difficult to maintain, battles are much more easier now that I know better how to use them. But the infantry are infuriating to manage. i love the falxmen, the oathsworn are very tough and the wildlings are so essential to me now but i am constantly raging on how to separate them. They all have throwing weapons and most infuriating is that the the falxmen and vet falxmen have different weapon load out so theres just no hope to group them together. Im thinking i just need to stick to one of the infantry at this point
Your oathsworn and wildlings have shields. Your falxman does not, use that to separate them.
Your oathsworn have polearms and your wildlings do not, use that to separate them.
Hope that helps, glhf.
@@angrygoldfish9607 I do this and it never seems to work right and sometimes I don't even realize I've spent 10 mins on the battle start just trying to separate them Im just saying it's infuriating. The troop management just needs to be scrapped and redone in my opinion
Do you go in knowing exactly how many of each units you have? That can help.
You're not wrong but IDK that there is anything you or I can do about it. I for one am not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water. It's a great game imo, flaws and all.
I just tried doing what I suggested with the Battanians and I feel your pain. Might need to try a whole different strategy.
I'm thinking maybe omit the oathsworn from your warband and just have a mix unit of wildlings and falxman.
Or you could replace the oathsworn with heavy spearmen or Sargent's.
Cant give feedback on ads as I’m a premium user, but as far as the copyright issue, UA-cam just allows anyone to copyright strike anything at any time, without any proof, and the only way to do anything about it is to sue them. Sadly thats the way it is, and UA-cam refuses to do anything about it, even if you personally know the owner of the music or its from a free public library of copy right free music.
starting with a fact 1st one sounds much clearer
however 2nd has some certain "charm" to it
whereas the 3rd one sounds a little like your previous mic just without that kfc light fried voice
honestly i prefer the 2nd mic
Thanks for the detailed feedback, #2 is leading the way.
Mic 1 or Mic 2
Second sounds more dialed in. Third might have more room for improvement.
Have you been challenged to an infantry only series yet?
After watching the full video Mic #2
Thanks for the feedback! I am working(slowly) on an infantry only series, more specifically, javelins. There may be cavalry, so not truly infantry only - which would be VERY painful against horse archers. Not sure I'll do a 100% infantry only series, but we'll see!
I thought mic 2 was an improvement until i heard the clicking and background noise. Somehow you managed to peak all of the mics so figure out your gain and volume levels my man, I think mic 3 was okay if you backed up so you arent roasting it with every "s" you say. pop filters, noise suppression, distance, etc... spend a night cleaning up mic 2 imo.
not the first one
There's definitely something wrong with mic 3, it shouldn't be sounding like this, it really sounds like there's a cable connection issue (sounds parasitic) tho it could also be a software problem, either way it's by far the worse one.
At the end of the day, I'm not here for the clarity of your mic, but I'd say that mic 2 is closer to how your voice sounded before, which is what I'd go for personally
I use voicemeeter banana, and I think the settings are messed up...
I appreciate your feedback here again!
3
All 3 mikes work, favor #1, only problem was this gut kept talking could not hear music or death screams ;)
And how would you get that on console
Mic 1. Mic 2 and 3 sound weirdly muffled to me.
Mic 2 was the easiest for me to understand. Otherwise this was just Fian Champions being Fian Champions. They and the Khans Guard are really tier 7 troops while other nobles are just meh.
1 sounds like an old AM radio, 2 sounds clear, and 3 sounds off with the lows like too much bass or something. I would go 2 sir
how do you change your formation when using F1? Do i have to hold it or something?
i don't mean changing the formation from SW to line, i mean changing the shape and angle of it
On the PC we simply click, hold and drag the mouse. Not sure on your platform...
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions im on pc, thx
@@llama7720 Formation changes are F2 first... Did I miss this part? SO square, F2-F5.
Mike 2
2/3
id say mic #2 but get a pop filter cause your "P"s pop pretty loudly sometimes
3.
FC >
Mic 1... I dunno why my comments are being removed.
It's certainly not me. Thanks for the feedback!
2
1 is good, 2 is decent and I would recommend you never use mic 3 ever again.
Ok thanks! LOL (noted!)
Xiaomi Redmi I like #1 but #2 is higher quality #3 is poor.
Mic 1 sounds clear enough, but it has no bass so when you curse, you sound like a wannabe badass :)
Mic 2 is louder, has better bass, but there's an issue with plosives. The Ps and Bs are a bit distorted I think.
Mic 3 is bad. It's loud, very distorted and the S sounds are very sharp.
My preference is 2 > 1 > 3
I think a pop-filter with #2 is going to be the solution. Thanks for your detailed feedback!
I liked 1 but 2 is ok 3 is pretty bad can hear everything in the background
2 or 3; 1 sounded totally different and off
Mic 1 best ,mic 3 worst
3 sucks. Lipsy
1 sounds like a little kid.
2 seemed the best.
Mic 1 may be just a little bit crispier than mic 2 but mic 3 is a total fail lmao
Mic 2
