Just finished 'The Hate You Give', and 'Strange The Dreamer' and OMG you hit the nail on the ravenclaw predictions!! This is the first time I read recs of yours and you did not dissapoint! ❤
I'm sooo excited to read The Hate U Give and The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. Thanks again for giving me even more encouragement to read all of these!
I actually think Starr says she is a Slytherin, but I can totally see how she would be a Ravenclaw! This is such a fun video series, it's been so much fun to watch! Thanks for doing the series!
THANK YOU as a proud ravenclaw i'm very very happy right now. i was thinking about what books you might include and the first two that popped up in my head were station eleven and the night circus, and i'm glad at least one of them was on the list! it's really nice to see that all of the books you've mentioned are books i was already excited to read, but now i want to do so even more! cannot wait to dive into them now - thank you! (also the winged eyeliner looks so good on you, please do that more often!)
I love how you gave your winged eyeliner some feathers. It shows respect for the house and also shows your creativity, a very Ravenclaw thing to do, even for a Gryffindor like yourself. ;)
Please make a part two! I love these series, most people who recommend books for the houses go for fairly standard books, but you keep surprising me and including books I wouldn't have thought of myself.
I predicted Ava Lavender would be on this list - I started reading it yesterday and so far nothing makes any sense but it's so enjoyable and unique! You also convinced me to buy The Hate U Give and Strange The Dreamer, perfect timing, cause I've been considering it lately. And your eyeliner looks amazing :D
From the beginning of this series I knew that you would put "The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender" on this list for Ravenclaw. It's just so fully Ravenclaw.
I'm a Ravenclaw, I have read Station Eleven and Ava Lavender and love them both so much! Your recs are so on point! Definitely gonna read the other books mentioned!
I’m a Ravenclaw so thank you so much for this video!!💙💙 I’ve loved all of your Hogwarts house themed recommendations and want to read all of the ones I haven’t already!
YES you put Strange the Dreamer. When I read (and became obsessed with it) I had a thought it would be perfect for this video. I'm so glad you're so good at this :p
I love your eyeliner in this video! Almost all of the books on my TBR has been recommended to me by your channel. I've been bingeing your videos all week.
THIS IS SO FANTASTIC. I'm reading Station Eleven next and I'm a Ravenclaw so I'm pumped. Also, I can just picture Luna Lovegood reading Strange the Dreamer
I know this is a bit of a leap... but maybe books based on/relating to the Ilvermorny houses? I reckon there would be some really cool and out of the way books you could talk about (^__^) Oh and a hell yeah on casual after recommendation parts for the main houses too d:
I read 'Six of Crows' after watching the Slytherin book recommendations and it was amazing! I really loved the writing style. I'm going to try to read the others in that list as soon as I can. (I'm a Slytherin, if you couldn't tell.) The books you recommended in this video sound really interesting! (If I wasn't a Slytherin, I would be a Ravenclaw.) Great job!
Been waiting for this one! I think you hit the nail on the head that Ravenclaw's need rich worlds that make you think. Also, as a Ravenclaw - I'm always trying to teach my little siblings through books that might change their world view (I'm sure it will annoy them eventually, but I can't help it!)
I already see another chanels recommendanting Ava Lavender, but is basically the first time someone actually give us a TW and that makes me feel disappointed with the other youtubers. Thank you for being always so honest and care for us!
I reaaaally have to read Ava Lavender now, especially since you mentioned it for Luna fans! You should totally do like a spin off video for recs you think Luna would read!!! 💙💙
I just put all these books in my wishlist, they're really interesting! I always find very good suggestions in your videos; plus, I love the way you talk, it's relaxing and not too fast, so it's easy for me to understand even if English is not my first language 😊
The strange and beautiful sorrows of Ava Lavender is one of my favourite novels ever, so I was really excited to see it on this list. Reading it was truly a magical experience. You might have inspired me to re-read it again some time soon!! Also: LOVE your eyeliner, I wish I was half as skilled with the stuff as you are. And I would be looking forward to a part 2 of this series, so if you feel like it, yes please! :)
i kept noticing your winged eyeliner all video wondering if it was eyeliner or lashes, and when you mentioned it, i was like, ah ha! there, now i know. it looks great!
One of the most Ravenclaw books I've ever read is Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan. For one thing, it's about books. The entire plot is centered around a mysterious bookstore that has barely been updated in hundreds of years. Just the aesthetics of this book are very Ravenclaw--bookshelves stretching up three stories, leather-bound tomes, and more! The book has a lot of commentary on the relationship between technology and print books, which I feel is a very Ravenclaw topic, and it follows one of the cleverest plots I have ever read. The message, ultimately, is one of thinking creatively and seeing patterns where others didn't--a very Ravenclaw idea, if you ask me, which nobody did.
ok so i know you probably wont see this but through this video I found strange the dreamer. I read it last week and I have fallen utterly in love with it. It took me on such a roller coaster but it was one of the most powerful books i have ever read and is now my new all time favorite. So thank you for introducing it to me because without this video i my have never read it
You have a lovely voice, by the way. Just had to comment that. So comfortable and relaxing to listen to. Thank you for the recommendations, will be checking them all out!
_Ink and Bone_ by Rachel Caine is all about the preservation of knowledge and how hoarding knowledge effects the world. _Wonders of the Invisible World_ by Christopher Barzak is another one of those books that just makes you think. Plus the storyline is so strange and ethereal. _The Archived_ by Victoria Schwab also touches on ideas of hoarding knowledge. _The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica_ by James A. Owen is very Ravenclaw. The protagonists rarely do any physical fighting, and tend to rely on their wit and skill to solve their problems. _Bartimaeus_ by Jonathan Stroud is an incredibly thought-provoking series. _The House of Mountfathom_ by Nigel McDowell's main character is definitely a Ravenclaw, plus the story is very intricate and cerebral. Also has a sort of ethereal, strange world, which is a bonus.
I was waiting for this for so so long! And I have been trying to get strange the dreamer since I first saw it so that must mean something! 😍😍 And YES PART 2
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke's in 100% Ravenclaw for me. Amazing fantasy novel set in the beginning of the 19th century. Clarke built entire new world in this book, and I just can't explain how magical, extraordinary and excellent it is.
I had an idea that maybe as a continuation of this series you could do this with books that you remind you of the 4 nations in atla based on what Iroh said to Zuko when he was explaining the nations! ("Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have desire and will and the energy and drive to achieve what they want. Earth is the element of substance. The people of the Earth Kingdom are diverse and strong. They are persistent and enduring. Air is the element of freedom. The Air Nomads detached themselves from worldly concerns and found peace and freedom ... Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribe are capable of adapting to many things. They have a deep sense of community and love that holds them together through anything.") I just thought it would be cool bc you love avatar and it's sort of a similar concept to the hogwarts houses but they're different qualities so it wouldn't just be the same 4 videos again
My recommendations: 1) Veronica decides to die by Paulo Coehlo 2) Angels and Demons by Dan Brown 3) Strange the dreamer 4) The dollar bahu by Sudha Murthy 5) The girl with all gifts
Aaaaah I'm so excited! I haven't yet read any of these, though Station Eleven has been on my list for a while, so it was just especially great to be introduced to some new books via my house's rec vid. I'll be checking them all out as soon as I get the chance. (I dig the eyeliner, btw, it looks great!)
My house! I've just bought 'Station Eleven' and I can't wait to get to it. I agree with the rec for 'The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender'. The book is a little odd but in an interesting, beautiful way. I would love a Part 2! (By the way, I love your make-up, especially the eyeliner!)
I'm a ravenclaw and I actually went to the book store today and picked up Stange the Dreamer! So I'm glad to know now that you think it suits 'me' haha. Also, your make up looks absolutely glorious ^^
My ravenclaw recommendations: The curious incidence of the dog in the night time, What Mil saw, A wrinkle in time, The encyclopedia of early earth, and Mr Penumbra's bookstore :)
Everytime I see The Name of the Wind in your outro I can't help but wonder if you've read it.... it's such an awesome book and I can't recommend it enough. I'm sure you'll love it
This is lovely! They all sound great! Though I'm more of a fantasy person myself. I don't have a lot of time to read but I'm reading one right now called The Witches of New York by Ami McKay which I'm really enjoying so far. Kinda think it goes well with the ravenclaw aesthetic.
I have to say that, although loving your other houses videos so much, but this one was a bit of disapointment I expected ten, twelve recommendations, but we only got four or maybe it's bc I'm a Ravenclaw and I was expecting the better for last. So here's my contribution to your list, I truly hope that everyone enjoys them: 1 - Inkheart by Cornelia Funke - Inkheart trilogy (every Ravenclaw would want the talent to bring characters out of their books, especially since we fall in love with so many) 2 - Heresy by S. J. Parris - Giordano Bruno Series (fugitive Italian monk Giordano Bruno-philosopher, magician, and heretical scientist, arrives in London chased by the Inquisition, it's interesting because he refused to bow down to religion, had a very open mind, read forbidden books late at night and was chasing a series of sacred texts by Hermes Trismegistus. It has also a certain "crimes and mistery" undertones.) 3 - How to Become King - Jan Terlouw (boy aspires to win the crown and is tested with seven impossible tasks by six Ministers, it's really a fun and easy reading, how he uses his wit to surpass every task) 4 - A Series of Unfortunated Events (amazing books, amazing plot, I like when books for young audience doesn't underestimate the reader. Needless to say Klaus is my favorite of the Baudelaire children) 5 - Apology of Socrates - Plato (*the* best book I ever read, is the dialogue that depicts the trial of Socrates and how he defends himself of the the charges of “corrupting the young” and “not believing in the gods" just by proposing critical thinking) 6 - Fragile Things - Neil Gailman (collection of short stories and poetry that honestly got me hooked for good) ps: There's two books called Leon de Almodaçar no Reino de Don Roquetão and Leon de Almodaçar no Reino das Descobertas Fantásticas, both in Brazilian Portuguese that I don't know if they are translated, but are the ones that make me love reading when I was seven. Leon also only have the things he learned in books to help him through the the challenges in the other realms he visits

I'm a Ravenclaw and I have 4/5 of these books on my shelves lol 💙 I'd love to see a part two 👍🏻
I had an idea that maybe as a continuation of this series you could do this with books that you remind you of the 4 nations in atla based on what Iroh said to Zuko when he was explaining the nations!
My recommendations:
1) Veronica decides to die by Paulo Coehlo
2) Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
3) Strange the dreamer
4) The dollar bahu by Sudha Murthy
5) The girl with all gifts
Yay! I've been waiting for the Ravenclaw video. Loved all of them but happy to have one for my house now 💙
Girl. That eyeliner is incredible. I love the recs! :)

This is lovely! They all sound great! Though I'm more of a fantasy person myself. I don't have a lot of time to read but I'm reading one right now called The Witches of New York by Ami McKay which I'm really enjoying so far. Kinda think it goes well with the ravenclaw aesthetic.
I have been waiting for this and I loved it I can not wait to read the books you recommended and yess part two !!
I have to say that, although loving your other houses videos so much, but this one was a bit of disapointment I expected ten, twelve recommendations, but we only got four or maybe it's bc I'm a Ravenclaw and I was expecting the better for last. So here's my contribution to your list, I truly hope that everyone enjoys them:
1 - Inkheart by Cornelia Funke - Inkheart trilogy (every Ravenclaw would want the talent to bring characters out of their books, especially since we fall in love with so many)
2 - Heresy by S. It has also a certain "crimes and mistery" undertones.)
3 - How to Become King - Jan Terlouw (boy aspires to win the crown and is tested with seven impossible tasks by six Ministers, it's really a fun and easy reading, how he uses his wit to surpass every task)
4 - A Series of Unfortunated Events (amazing books, amazing plot, I like when books for young audience doesn't underestimate the reader. Needless to say Klaus is my favorite of the Baudelaire children)
5 - Apology of Socrates - Plato (*the* best book I ever read, is the dialogue that depicts the trial of Socrates and how he defends himself of the the charges of “corrupting the young” and “not believing in the gods" just by proposing critical thinking)
6 - Fragile Things - Neil Gailman (collection of short stories and poetry that honestly got me hooked for good)
ps: There's two books called Leon de Almodaçar no Reino de Don Roquetão and Leon de Almodaçar no Reino das Descobertas Fantásticas, both in Brazilian Portuguese that I don't know if they are translated, but are the ones that make me love reading when I was seven. Leon also only have the things he learned in books to help him through the the challenges in the other realms he visits
YES! Been waiting for this video forever! Also I totally adore THUG and Starr is a total ravenclaw in my opinion too!
The CHIMES- Anna Smaill (well mostly for classic music fans or students)
just made my day..two videos so worth the wait..more books to read.
