    What a beautiful little film. It has done my home village proud. I hope when you visit us again you will look at the old residential area which is also full of beautiful old houses, the castle site and the stunning Minster Church hidden in amongst the woods.

    You got our attention when you mentioned FISH AND CHIPS! We did a walking tour in London and had the best one so it would be cool to come here and try it as well. There are some really stunning views that you are showcasing! Would be so cool to fly a drone there for sure! Thanks for sharing! We enjoyed all of it! View from the peak was our favorite for sure!

      Thank you Thad! North Cornwall is like a country in itself when it comes to Nature: the cliffs are very big and dramatic usually dark in colour (at times they are black) and the stone forms visible layers. When those layers break, sometimes it looks like stairs

    My sister and I stumbled upon this village near dusk while exploring Cornwall. The weather was horrible, with heavy rain and wind yet we found it to be a magical place. Hope to visit again and make it out to the harbor.

      It’s incredible how we discover different places! We discovered Boscastle because we were curious about its name 😂

    These so called man made rocks were seen as the perfect building material and I believed they were quarried from the cliffs to build these houses that look Yorkshire style. Whats even great is that there are other styles of the buildings blended perfectly - personally I prefer that over the samey looking Bath Stone buildings that you see in Cotswolds and Bath City. We are so lucky to have a HUGE variety of architecture designs in the UK and its great you are covering that in your vlogs.
    The same can be said for the type of beaches and cliffs - igneous rock versions are of an entirely different vibe compared to the white chalk cliffs and to include the coloured type seen at Alum Bay, Isle of Wight - once again solid great job!

      Yes, that's true! I am no builder but it does look like it could be perfect for building. Because of the way the stone formed: it could be broken up into brick-like pieces. I am sure most cottages are built of it there. It looks very dramatic on walls and embankments!

    • @anneknight3596
      @anneknight3596 3 роки тому +1

      Boscastle remained a Manor for almost a thousand years. It had it's own workforce and as you say it had it's own quarries where it could take both building stone and slate for roofing. It had a distinct style of building which can be identified from elsewhere in Cornwall. There is a great deal more of historic Boscastle than the area around the harbour too.

    Been here. More than once. Did it not get damaged by heavy flooding, some years ago?

    • @mikebogatyrev3058
      @mikebogatyrev3058  3 роки тому +1

      I heard about the flooding but we couldn't see any apparent damage. Maybe it was very well fixed. Did you go there in Summer or in Winter?

      It certainly is unique! We haven't heard it to be honest. There was a local accent but it was very subtle.
