Really great take on Gon. Its refreshing to see people take all his different aspects into account. It makes a lot of of the other video theories ive seen on him look like click bait 😂
Thank you, i love gon and felt like sharing some of my thoughts about him, i feel there's too many people that make gon look like something he's not, goes to show how togashi wrote such an amazing character in gon that many fail to understand aspects of his character
Gon is such a misunderstood character tbh, he's always who the fanbase tends to blame and the 'selfish' one but what about Killua? Both of them are children. Keep that in MIND. Let me explain (i just love analyzing sorry lmao) Killua was just as selfish as Gon but is executed in DIFFERENT ways. Gon's selfishness is displayed on how he tends to only think about achieving his goals, tending to disregard how it would affect others (Ex; the dodgeball scene in Greed Island) Whereas Killua's sense of selfishness is displayed THROUGH his utmost selfishness. (Especially with gon) the contrast difference between Gon and Killua being he only takes gon's well being or even gon himself into account. He's such a misunderstood complex character, people only tend to see him as either "the selfish devil" or a "sweet cinnamon roll" he's BEYOND that! Gon and Killua's relationship are the BEST potrayal of Yin and Yang The concept of evil in good, which is Killua And good in evil, which is Gon.
I AGREE, killua also has been selfish and even portrayed to have flaws and the reason why i believe people don't label killua as an evil person like gon is because the majority of it is for gon's sake so they see killua as someone who does no wrong You're also right how gon is so much more than a selfish or a sweet cinnamon roll, togashi wrote gon to be one of the most complex and layered characters, one reason why i also believe there's so much misunderstanding with gon is because we don't get Gon's inner monologue like we do with kurapika and killua, it's rare when we get gon's inner thoughts
And some people say that him being a child is not an excuse…
It's insane how some say this.... they must have falsified their memories when they were kids and think they were these mature geniuses as kids

yeah I'm selfish as hell too and I LOVE GON FREECSS he and many others are so well written and HXH is such a great anime
Love to see it, many be saying gon's selfisness is a bad thing when it isn't, glad to see other gon fans being able to relate to that part of gon
