First of all, sorry for the delay in uploading this. I enjoyed Space Marine very much myself, but I am very bad at TPS games and needed time to practice. I am not confident that I can provide a video quality that you will be satisfied with, but I may make another Space Marine video if there is some demand for it. By the way, Assault is the best class for me. It seems to be underrated compared to other classes, but I am satisfied to be able to knock down enemies mainly in melee fights

Can see how it might be difficult maintain armor stacks in multiplayer if people are taking executions from you though.

Depends, if you got a good sniper even if the 3rd is a Bulwark you should be getting lots of execution set ups. Bulwark can also fill a different niche as he can aggro and tank all the ranged damage, very useful vs the chaos missions. Plus the sniper will be very thankful for all the ammo they can grab with 2 melee class. xD
I once had a Carnifex spawn the last couple minutes of the final enemy wave. I was pissed when it happened, but after i beat that thing i was happy and relieved.

Assault and thunderhammer both seem to come into their own at higher levels. They both make a bad first impression though.
What? High lvl Assault still performs like a mid geared Tactic. Yes, you can go ham with it but in comparison is pales.

A good player can use any of the 6 classes. That being said. Assault is the worst out of the 6 based on perks/damage output/ weapons. Now, in terms of fun factor... Assault is very fun.
I’ve capped every class and every weapon and Assaults is still my fav too!

Very good. I know youre probably a melee centric guy, which is why you picked assault. Other classes are just as fun imo, as they can all be pretty strong in melee. Sniper melee next?
It's no Darktide, but it's a good start. Hopefully they can shape it into something deeper with updates.

have you tried to initiate neutral with fast charged attack rather than light, it is fast, you can still cancel it and deal more damage in bigger aoe, trigger a gun strike etc etc .... i often use it to followup ground pound on majoris .

IMO opinion assault doesnt get good until perks are unlocked in its tree later on its rough first 10-15 levels, also i found a nice trick when your in the 4 generator room and that first pod drops behind the controls if there is a explosive cart you can literally move it to where it drops to save on nades and ammo
I stopped playing Assault as they didn't fix the bug with the jump pack not working after finishing an execution.
If they've fixed it ill give assault another go. Been having Bulwark as my main ever since.

That said, i don't know how the hell does he manage to make the jump pack work every time, when i try it 90% of the time it simply does not respond, even with 2 charges ready.
You have to be looking at a play form where landing is possible, which is why its super janky when youre looking too far away
You've misunderstood what people say when they rate it low, and what tier listing means. The point is that other classes can achieve the same results far easier, and with far less investment (almost all the perks that make Assault functional at this level are right at the end of the perk tree), not that it's impossible to complete content with this class.
@@Tildryn I agree with that, but the difficulty level between classes has always varied in games, some people enjoy the challenge and having to try harder to win. The assault class attracts a lot of unga bunga enjoyers who just want to smash with the hammer and then go online to complain when that doesn't work out. the perk tree could be improved in some areas though, and it feels terrible against chaos.
Assault is good in PVE and PVP.

Theyre not entirely wrong. Many perks are far too niche to be useful, and the ones that actually complements his gameplay are locked at high level. Its no wonder most people couldnt stick with assault
Vast majority in community and every CC gamer I have watched is saying this is the worst class. So far I have it max level and 3 other class too and I agree with most of the people and streamers/CC gamers. It doesn't mean one can't make it work, but it's perks, survivability and melee dmg as a melee class doesn't make it any exception compared to other classes, as matter of fact for example vanguard has a lot better survavibility perks for melee combat than assault has.
I still have not yet seen any guy uploading Assault ruthless level soloing in chaos missions. I know why there is not that video, it simply cause you can't parry and dodge so easily all majoris enemies surrounded you as you can against tyranids. You more takeing dmg to yourself than giving dmg to chaos marines.. Ouh and those little guys with shields, hammer swings feels very useless cause they block all the hits and once you do some heavy attacks, they dmg your healt bar 1/3 away meanwhile you charge it. very fun class indeed..
As an Assault main, I don't think people are necessarily wrong when they say Assault is the worst class. However, I also don't think any of the classes are bad. Assault needs you to put in a lot more effort than other classes, and I think because of that it has an incredibly high skill ceiling that in the hands of someone who really knows the class can absolutely outshine any of the other classes. And in my literal who opinion makes it one of the most fun classes to play.
I think once the class gets a few buffs/QoL changes (and hopefully some buffs to the Thunder Hammer) you'll be seeing a LOT more people playing the class
(Also, the Gunstrikes doing 50% more damage perk and Non Lethal Gunstrikes restoring Armor combo is absolutely amazing, everyone should try it out)
@@ohlawd6763 Yea i think the assault should be high risk high reward perk and buff this class to be a jump here and out combat melee specialist than just a mindless melee class, im a heavy main tbh because how great to have bigger firepower in your team, but i agree the thunder hammer feels too slow or just give it more area effect near them so the tyranids not easily surround you in Ruthless difficulties, so yes i think this class need a huge buff.

Yeah, devs admitted to making the bots avoid executions so they don't constantly steal them, they are rather smart about when to execute.

I think Assault would be way better if they would remove dodge with jets from ability pool so you dont take your 1 Charge away
it needs to function more like it does in campaign IMO, give us 3 charges and hovering. it doesn't have to reach the same height level as in campaign, but increasing it a little bit would make it more fun imo

There's a few weapons like that where in Tier 1 (and sometimes also Tier 2) the weapon stats are distinctly worse than other weapons. Not sure why they designed it that way instead of having them scale smoothly.
major problem the perk that modify you neutral heavy attack is a straight nerf since it's bugged, it shoud have 10 aoe range and it has 1 metter range, longer to charge, with less damage, the day they fix this it's will grant good aoe damage, without that it's just a bigger version of the knife.
Also part of the reason Assault is good for solo is it has the ability to disengage and shed aggro. Without a bastion and an effective ranged ai soloing is so much harder when every enemy starts targeting you.
I cant imagine doing operations well with a block style melee weapon. parries are too important
Luckily the devs have said recently that they are aware of how bad Blocking is and are planning some changes for it

Bots are so much tankier than regular players and as such soloing might actually be easier than coop. Only exception would probably be 3 really good players who know what they are doing.
that's so freaking true, i rather do ruthless solo than playing with random. And to be fair i have a better completion rate in solo rather in multiplayer.
