I've read some reviews about Jakob Bro's albums describing his music as calm and relaxing. I think that's not the point. His music is so intense that is necessary to slow down to get all the energy flow that comes from it. To me this is about a state of mind and awareness that you just achieve by understanding how slow our natural rhythm is. Mr Bro, I hear you.
it really could not be any better. i'm so happy to have found this recording and have done so because of the videos (which are beautifully shot). the compositions are great, the musical tones and textures, effects, and atmosphere that is created is transfixing, and, of course, the playing.. lovely. everyone is making such great decisions... of all the musical choices that could be made and every given moment, everyone chose the most beautiful ones... thank you Jakob, Palle, Thomas, and ECM. much metta.
and of course the great Jon Christensen!! cannot forget him. his contribution here is huge as another way of playing would not be as special. it is such a large component of what makes these recordings so perfect.
i´m shure mr.mikkelborg always liked miles davis, but his playing and unique style and expression is much more exciting than miles´ ever was imo. i first heard mikkelborg and christensen in 1979 playing a radiobroadcast gig in hamburg with terje rypdal. that was life changing.

Palle Mikkelborg & Jon Christensen timeless reunion!
I wonder what it takes to get to this point of understanding and appreciating sound, musicianship, humanity. I wish to get there
