SOLO Winter Camping in Snow - Deep Woods, Cheap Tarp/Big Rock Shelter, Swedish Torch Cooking
Вставка
- Опубліковано 31 бер 2023
- I set up camp deep in the woods of northern Pennsylvania with a cheap tarp and some hand me down sleeping bags. I find a big rock to set up camp near, build a quick shelter, and start a fire. I dine on jalapeño cheddar smoked sausages, pine needle tea, bacon, and cowboy coffee. I also make a Swedish Torch to cook with.
Please make more of these long form videos. They teach me a lot about camping.
meee toooooo
You had me at "bacon." :D
🤠 so good
I I’m not🎉🎉❤🎉😂😊
WELL I HAVE TO SAY THIS , THIS GUY IS AWESOME AND HE DESERVES MORE VIEWS !!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!
I really like your style. Really efficient. I did US forest service trail work for the summers between college years and one guy i worked with would only make shelters like you did there. A cheap tarp pitched not with ropes but long branches like you did along with heavy rocks and sticks fashioned into stakes.
Thank you for all your work.
Take care. NQU
I like that you don't spend half an hour boasting about all the fancy expensive stuff you bought online. I like what you said in a previous video about using your dad's old North Face sleeping bag!
Awesome video! Youre getting me into survival and the outdoors again!
Glad to hear!
Highly motivating 🤠👍
Glad to hear!
I love your videos brother! I started by seeing your UA-cam shorts. But the long video is great! Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thank you very much for this film, this is exactly what I was thinking about and looking for, greetings from Poland 😁😉
This is the best camping content on the web.
More good tips and a realistic sense of a winter camp in your region'
Im planning a " bushcraft" style camp trip similar to this and i love how you used the rock and tree to create the shelter. the way it reflects the heat from the fire back into your shelter is perfect! I always bring some sausage and a small can of beans
Great and authentic content dude 🤌🤌 keep up the good work
Btw, your production and narrating progress are great ^^
Thanks for sharing us those useful information ❤
Solid channel man, this makes me miss camping and hunting.
Great expo and delivery
Thank you!
Awesome job bro!
Thank you!
@@WoodsboundOutdoors welcome, bro
Videos like this make me feel silly for watching or prioritizing reality tv / beauty tutorials / fashion / Netflix / hair etc over content like this that could actually be helpful in emergency type situations.... nothing wrong with watching those shows but make sure to also know basic life skills 👌🏼 Great video thanks
Very inspiring , keep up with the good job 😎
Thank you for the relaxing video!
I really love your channel and camping is an amazing hobby
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I absolutely love it. 👍

Man knows his craft !
На пол укрытия уложить лапник 15÷20 см, перед входом устроить надью и можно ночевать!

The earth needs more men like you. Judy there
This looks so like so much fun
If they can't find me.....yup he's in the woods.
Great stuff, learned a couple things
PLEASE POST MORE
Great video! I enjoy the 'shorts' videos too, I think bacon should be considered a camp essential.
Its nice to escape from the terror of the modern world.
Eeyore was onto something 😂
So cool

Dope man.
Erhm....Having a fire up against a big rock like that could be lethal.
Really enjoy youe informative videoa. Would love to see show how you get to and from these camoing spots, i.e. the navigating...(how you do not get lost)
Yes awesome 😅
Raally enjoyed this. Wondering how far away your car is ;) I mean, a cast iron skillet weighs just short of a ton!
I think you SHOULD cook some more! Pity you didn't bring rolls and mustard/ketchup!
Cool
I really LIKE your channel!...we the twins camp allot and find that you eat the same Cheddar H Dogs! ...We eat them every time out in the woods.
So is Pine Tea safe to drink?? Let me know please.... and Dandy Lyin Tea is from the Roots...I've always made it from...tell me your thoughts. Twins out.
9:51 bacon begins... my favorite part. Being outdoors you won't be craving oatmilk and quinoa. You will require stronger energy-food.
If you need a little brother to come help id be your guy!
So if the planet ends. I would grabe 3 tarps. A sleeping bag, shovel, axe, and cut a hoe handle short, i like your water bottle cotton bottle trick. Ill take note.
A knife gun and machete is a must.
Now my only issue is why did you not rake oht the snow? Soil holds heat better. Over night that soil is better then the snow under a tarp.
Hey man! I saw that rock and I said to myself that looks like where I hunt for white tail, and snowshoe hare, then after reading your bio in the story I noticed your in northern Pennsylvania and that’s where my hunting camp is! Right in Kane, Pennsylvania. Are you in the Allegheny forest in this video?
saw you from tiktok
Found you on tik tok now I'm here.. 😊
Awesome! thanks for the support
@@WoodsboundOutdoors you're welcome.. would you be interested in collaborating and maybe doing an interview with us?
Can you make a video on how you pack?
Im curious about your tarp. Id be worried it would melt from the fire? Ik its light wt but would canvas be less flammable? Safety first luv ur videos thankyou!
👍
What part of Appalachian Mnts? I was in south central PA . Lived in a valley in between the Appalachian and Blue ridge Mnts. I hope I can move back soon...great videos!!
This way people destroyed megalithic monuments in the Netherlands. These monuments are called 'hunebedden'. They are from the Neolithic, the farmers came from Anatolia.
How you liking that TSC groundwork hatchet/axe? I've seen it go for like $20 on the bargain bin and every time I see it I pause for a moment because how similar it looks to a Fiskars X10.
😊😊😊😊😊
Would Douglas fir or evergreen work like hemlock to start a fire? I currently live in eastern WA St. but I'm from Western Washington in the foothills of the Cascades. The Snoqualmie Falls WA area. I grew up in the forest with 15,000 acres of old growth natural forest.

Hey friend! Aren't you afraid of bears getting close at night?
Just black bears here and they usually keep their distance, they've never bothered me

What kind of hand saw is that?
Looks like a Corona.
you look like chris watts
There's Facebook accounts stealing all of your content.
can u eat young pinecones
Can you do a video on the equipment and gear you use
guys, it takes a major bonfire HOURS to actually heat up boulders. and once you do, the heat is so intense that you can't get close enough to the boulder to do much good. you'll need one on each side of you. The entire idea is bs. For no more wood than makes sense for you to gather and burn, all big rocks are is heat-sinks, wasting your efforts/time, calories., What you need is a layer of debris between two waterproof membranes, with the edges sealed. The debris just serves to hold-apart the membranes and stops air-movement between them. The trapped air is what insulates you from the cold. The inside membraine gets very little condensation on it from your body moisture when it's not cold and it wont BE cold, due to the insulation effect of the layer of dry debris. This works best in a hammock, with the bottom layer of insulation being under the hammock, so that your body weight does not compress the debris. Hang the hammock just 6" off of the ground, with you in it and kick debris under the membrane, so that air does not flow under you. You will be AMAZED at how much difference this makes, as vs a fire on one side of you, or thin layers of clothing, The wider the layer of trapped air you have, the warmer you will be. You cannot have ANY air leaks, tho, so use a light to look for them and repair them with duct tape.
Why 😢
hey bro, new sub here for ya , only have email here , u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active , would like to talk more, tracking down some stuff for trade/swap , thanks > tom !
What kind of axe do you use my friend?
I use a Fiskars and a little Ozark trail hatchet that has actually held up well for years
