Before I was disabled, I LOVED camping and being outdoorsy. But my family didn't. By the time I was old enough to do the stuff on my own, my condition had already worsened beyond being able to do the things I loved. So I missed out. I guess getting to see things like this help me to live vicariously, and learn about all the things I would have done had my life been different.
I hope you find a friend one day that can help you get back out there. Support makes things a lot easier even if you’re not able to do much sometimes just being there is good enough.
Got to say, it's a treat to have longer content from you. Don't burn out though, if short stuff is your comfort zone, you having fun making stuff is as important as us enjoying it.
I enjoy doing both, for whatever reason the shorts took off so that's what I stuck with for a while. Now I have a little more time to work on both. I appreciate the support and I'm glad you enjoy the videos 👍
These tips are so smart! I'm by no means a primitive camper, but I've gotten such useful tips from your videos that have helped me take less when I go camping. Thank you!
That’s a really good idea to have beaten eggs in a plastic bottle rather than trying to carry whole eggs as they may crack in transit. I wrap the sausages in silver foil first and then put them in the fire to cook rather than having it on the stick. Great video thanks 😊
Love your videos-long and short! I showed one with a certain knot to my husband and he said he wished he knew how to make that knot, so I emailed your video to him, and now we watch your videos together 😊
I realize I will never be able to remember this video when I’m in a survival situations so it’s on me to practice these principles several times now to turn these tips into a working memory for future use.
@@WoodsboundOutdoors Luke with The Outdoor Boys channel does winter survival camping. I love those videos. You'll get a ton of subs if you do survival camping videos like that. PS: Just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more.
🎉❤😮 wow 0:41 Amazing thanks 4 the share 4:19 brings back memories as I hadn't witnessed this type experience since old camping days. 10:57 Best to you - Stay safe on the excursions.
Watching your videos really made me gain a huge interest in bush craft and camping in general and I’ll definitely try some of these tips when the warmer camping season arrives
I have no doubt that your technique will work. Could not help but think how some use oven bags in solar cookers to keep the heat in. The basic principles of solar cooking and your survival camping tent are very similar. Bravo for putting it into action. The video is great!
I’m going to white pine in February for six days with two friends and a dog. We’re gonna go on a few hikes and maybe ice fishing if the winter ever actually happens in Utah
This is the third video for me, all were in the cold North. I'm in SE Georgia so there won't be any cold camping here. Enjoyable content and very informative. Thanks
Nice! I got myself in difficult situations, where there was no wood, and if it was a little, could not use any fire. Beginning of the spring in Caucasus, as a passing immigrant. Few nights at 1900 meters above sea level, beside an internal sea, so to speak, with no tent, in rain, strong wind, a bit of snow, in the open. Am still remembering that, and watching your experience, somewhat warms me up.
Please continue making content. You do an awesome job. Question...when you stay in PA, are there specific spots to avoid? Or specific spots to go to? Like state parks?...etc
Thank you and will do.. I usually camp in the national forest or state forest. Most of it is open to camping, with the exception of a few designated wild areas and natural areas
New subscriber here from ny.retired EMS provider advid camper ..great camp vid.nice fire sounds. That to me is what makes a great video. Natural sounds.if possible do longer and maybe a 2 nighter.Dollar store under 20 dollar total .b safe.peace
Super cool video, I've used a lot of lean too's like that.....I lived in the wilderness for 20 years living off the land, without electric power, saw very few people. Planning to go back when things go down.
Great video. Just a tip: don't use too many jump cuts in your videos. Slow down the pace, especially during relaxing moments such as when you're standing by the fire or when you were enjoying your meal.
You mentioned to not have the fire blowing the same direction as the shelter. What do you when you have a swirling wind. Wind will blow in many different directions
I have two of those space blankets.. I am thinking about getting a couple of more.. I just subscribed to you as well.. unfortunately being homeless is on the back burner for me again.. I have been that way more times than I can count.. the only thing I'm worried about is I'm going to be 58 pretty soon here.. the older you get the harder it will be on you.. I have been watching quite a few camping videos lately bushcrafting videos.. no I do have some experience I'm no master at it.. it's good enough to get by with

I'm really enjoying these camping videos. My major weakness is knot craft, and I'm glad you have been showing the different knots to use. Great video.
Love your tutorials/videos. Keep them reeling in !!!!

If you ever get the chance, please write a book. It would be the best survival guide ever
Reminds me of the Outdoor Boys! Love these types of videos from you
good tips you gave. one tip for you, put that hotdog inside the lavash bread with the humus and avocado
That does sound good actually
Thank you so very much. 👍🏻😃
I can't get enough of your camping and wilderness survival videos! I always learn a lot.
I'll try this in my backyard tonight, wouldn't want this not to work when i grow up.......I'm 73

Nice shelter, first time I seen this method was on dual survivor, Cody Lundin used it, and dave liked it as well.

Yeah, I’m liking the longer content. I love the outdoor skills too. It’s all great knowledge. 👍😊
I've made one of those before. Only a little bigger. They definitely work!
Doing a great job with these

And I stay away from state parks for the most part, they have stricter rules when it comes to camping vs state forest
That’s pretty amazing how warm you got with some simple techniques
Winter camping is the best
Best one yet!
This gives me such good chills love this
I've wanted to get into doing camping like this. These videos are super awesome, and they make me want to get out there!

Thanks for experience. I plan on heading out this winter and attempting the same thing. Maybe not as minimalist.
Man! You need to write a outdoors survival guide
Excellent 👍🏻💯
Still remembered you from 'Abstaining from sugar in the coffee'. Watching from tropical Caribbean island St.Lucia🌴🏝🏖🌞🥭🍌🥥

Thank you for video.. I haven't ever tried this kind shelter, but I'm excited to try it :D
You should post more lengthy episodes , like this
I typed out this comment before I finished the video, but still, you should indeed do so.
I absolutely love your videos, they remind me of when I lived in Alaska instead of on Emerald Coast of Florida.
This is good shelter i first saw it on duel survival cody built it season 1 or 2 with dave in winter.
Wish i would have watched your video the first time I went camping, spent 3 hours just trying to light a fire and ended up giving up and going home
Great video. Just a tip: don't use too many jump cuts in your videos. Slow down the pace, especially during relaxing moments such as when you're standing by the fire or when you were enjoying your meal.
Noted, still learning thanks
I like those bits too - especially the food parts. And no HORRIBLE MUSIC at the start.
With your snow rocket stove, all you need to do, or rather TRY this: Line the center upright tube with WET wood sticks, or wet bark
Once u short on time before nightfall what u recommend best: make shelter or build a fire with firewood supply enough for 6-8 hrs?
This guy is my spiritual successor to Survivorman
Awesome broski
man you are awesome
Another great video. Just wondering what size plastic sheet you used/recommend? Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you, and 9x12 works well
Great video
Amazing sir,,
😊thanks. Nice
My wife buys that lavash bread. She crisps it up into chips for guacamole. I’ve gotten to where i like it better than tortillas
Hello from South Africa. Love your videos man. The plastic so close to the fire seems dangerous.
Cool videos, maybe you can talk about you're personal stories aswell. God bless you!
Super shelters work really well. You'll be sleeping on top of your sleeping bag. Lol. Gets toasty
