- How can you find adventure in your own backyard? How can you discover something new, without travelling to the other side of the world?
In the wake of COVID-19, Professional climbers Caroline Ciavaldini & James Pearson embark on a biking and climbing journey through the south of France, in pursuit of a new, adapted family adventure.
Haha, those „less desirable“ crags look awesome to me!!!
Yeah, we are pretty lucky!
Rock on, very inspiring!
I happily watch this with 5x the content.
Careful! you might live to regret those words... I'm pretty good at editing LOOOOOOOOOONG movies!!!
@@OnceUponAClimb "No Ragrets nyam sayin" - Guy in We're the Millers shares my sentiment
nice one!
Great job guys! Awesome to see Arthur walking!!! Remembering his first steps in Ethiopia :)
Haha! Before every great step comes a stumble! Hope you guys are holding up well, wherever you are?
Great video! I love to see that you have adapted your adventures but that you are still going out and doing what you love with Arthur. Very inspiring!
thanks a lot!!! and it's very very fun!!!
Ma che belli 🤩🤩🤩
what's the name of the crag at 5:00 ?
It’s not actually a climbable crag, but a troglodyte village called Les Grottes de Calès
Super inspiring to a Dad of 2 girls! Rock on!
Question: what is the bike trailer you used to carry Arthur? Thanks!
Hey Dan, Thanks for the kind words, and hope you get out there soon on your own adventures. The trailer is made by Tout Terrain, it's pretty pricy, but I've not found anything that does a better job.
@@OnceUponAClimb thanks so much so the info! Stay strong and Wild across the pond 💪🧗♀️🧗♂️🚵♀️🚵♂️👨👩👦
It feels impossible to even aspire to climb 9c, but acquiring the ability to ride days end and negotiate 8b+ with your family is a goal we can at least plan for.
This is awesome!
I'm so sad to only discover your channel now.
Some familiar views there!
Very nice..than u so much..the kid will grow so well this way
Thanks for the kind words. We hope so!!!
Great video ! What's the name and the location of that slab crag around 5:40 ?
It's Mouriès, famous for very hard, crimpy slab and wall climbs.
Sauf erreur de ma part, le 8a du lac de Saint Rémy n'est pas " le caniche de l'info" mais " manneken miss".
Suite à cette erreur gravissime, il faut recommencer toute la vidéo ;-)
Ahhhhhhhhhh! I wasn't sure about that one, but the topo we had didn't have a name for the route to the left, so I crossed my fingers that it was that one. Like you say, time to delete the film and start again! Better still, lets just do the whole trip all again!!!
@@OnceUponAClimb Also if I'm not mistaking the 7c in Fontvieille is more likely to be "L'échine de porcelaine" than "Shampooing à l'argile" which is a close-by 7b+
@@aleksandr12 oops again! We've only got the Alpilles tope for Fontvieille (is there a new topo somewhere?) and it only has one route listed on that piece of rock. I have to admit that it felt very tough for 7b+... though to be honest, it felt pretty hard for 7c too!
@@OnceUponAClimb I don't think there's a new topo but you can find an additional topo describing for each sector a few new routes and connexions that have been bolted.
