- Hello everyone! Today's video is a comparison of 2 hair removal creams: Veet and Nair.
Veet: amzn.to/2shSZQD
Nair: amzn.to/2sOxVST
Both cost around the same amount, however, I had different results! I hope you enjoy the video. Leave any hair removal product test suggestions in the comment sections.
Thanks! - Навчання та стиль
Finally someone who actually has hair on their body !!! Thanks because these other girls have like almost no hair and try to use these products to show us a review but how are we supposed to decide if they barely had any hair to show results
Nancy Franco Garcia ikr???.
I have a lot of hair aswell.
Fr. I have more hair then this girl on my arm.
Ariok ik this old but I think because legs have more hair on them. Ik women with very hairy arms will care about it slot but ones with the lighter arm hair don’t
That’s just what I said then I saw your comment lmao
it should be named yeet because that's what you'll be saying to those hairs
Nicole Schroeder 😂😂😂
Nicole Schroeder lol
Nicole Schroeder lmao I wasn't expecting to read this, too funny!!!

You win the internet for a year
*And now the science bit... Well, at least for anyone who may be interested anyway! The active ingredients in Veet and Nair are the same, i.e. potassium thioglycolate, calcium thioglycolate, and potassium hydroxide. When combined, these 3 ingredients cause each hair to swell, opening up its fibres, and allowing the 2 thioglycolates to penetrate each individual hair with their sulphur atoms. This creates hydrogen sulphide... hence the slight smell of rotten eggs! Once this happens (after around 2 minutes with both products), the sulphur atoms are free to attack the hair proteins (called disulphide bonds). Once enough of those bonds are broken, the hair degrades completely and can simply be wiped away.*
*In order to be effective, all cream hair removers need to have a pH of between 12.0 and 12.5. In other words, very alkaline. This pH level allows the products to work quickly, but aren’t so caustic that they burn the skin. Healthy human skin having a pH of between 4.5 and 5.5. Both Veet and Nair can cause pretty serious chemical burns for some people. Especially those who have fairly dry or delicate skin to begin with. This is why neither cream should be left on the skin, any longer than the time recommended by their respective manufacturers. They should be used according to their directions to minimize risk.*
*The only difference between the two brand names, is that the potassium and calcium thioglycolates used in Veet, are slightly more diluted than those used in Nair. And this is the reason why Nair acts on hair faster. So Nair saves time (a couple of minutes), but Veet is (slightly) kinder to the skin around the hair. Your choice! Thanks for reading, and please stay healthy x.*
you're the best!!!
Thanks
@@patiencebabirye5658 You're very welcome my friend.
Isn’t a ph of 12-12.5 alkaline not acidic ?
@@krissygreenidge Hi Kris. Yes, you're absolutely right!👍🏼😉
Apply pure Aloe Vera after using hair depilatories. It helps with burns, even chemical burns and you can leave it on, overnight. Veet WILL cause irritation (they offer stronger products) if you leave it on too long so when it starts to tingle, remove it immediately.
Veet all the way you can do a Brazilian. With caution!
here's a few ideas for removing unwanted hair
Waxing is a very common method but does involve some paid!
Sugarcoating is a natural form of hair removal but is similar to waxing - it uses a paste of essential oils and sugar
There are also natural bleaching methods using lemon juice honey and chamomile that can make hair invisible
There are also products such as Dermology Hair Removal on the market
(I read these and why they work on Dravin remover guide site )
It really bad
I legit thought it said Yeet vs. Nair 😂
Starbucks Lover hahahahah same
ik i got kinda excited lmao
😂😂😂
🤣🤣
I did too
For people wondering: Nair stinks, but it works! I have thick leg hair so I have to reapply 2 or three times.. leaving it on for about 8-9 minutes each.
But how long does it last before your hair grows back?
Jacky Wacky for me it’s 2-3 days
It’s bc of the hydrogen sulphide
@@carlamari1199 for me it’s a week
Does it will reduce hair growth while repeat it continuesly for weekly 3 days
so refreshing to see a real woman, with issues many of us have, doing a real test of these products. So helpful. Thank you !
The nair likely left some irritation and red marks because you rubbed it with toilet paper to get it off! :o it's recommended that you use a warm wet wash cloth or sponge and remove in the opposite direction that the hairs are growing. Also, very important to rinse thoroughly with water afterwards to make sure no product is left over!
Thank you so much
Heard using a microfiber cloth to wipe off actually helps better getting all the hairs!
For sensitive skin use facial nair, it only comes with not that much but it smells really good and you can use it on your face, legs, and arms. I use it a lot and it never has ever burnt me :) it’s good for kids who are 13 or 14 and there parents don’t want them to use a razor (for cuts)
"My skin started to tingle" maybe loosen the tape, that'll help. 😊
Niya Love haha I know right
Actually no. I have sensitive skin and it did tingle for me too (I didn't put tape). I did get irritated but it worked.
I don't have sensitive skin and Nair irritates my skin and it does cause it to tingle. Nair works effectively but the product is very potent.
I giggled at your comment lol
Xoxoo Niya LoL
Always do a patch test before u put it on to see if it gives u a allergic reaction or not
If you buy a veet buy the one that have the spoon thingy for no hair left-off😂😂
Nair 😷 stinks so bad like fried rotten cheese
Mirialys Diaz very smells like rotten eggs
The sensitive one smells nicer
The baby oil one smells so much better
I swear
Mirialys Diaz rotten eggs
I loved that ending cut.
Shell shocking
Old video but came across this because I was searching for the best hair removal.i tried glee and it honestly did not work as well as I hoped it would. Thank you for reviewing this
I use Nair and honestly, its sooo good, it takes off ALL of my hair! I do have a little irritation on my skin, but that's normal if you have really irritated skin :)
Lil OneEyedGhoulX I want to try the nair face cream but I don't want my facial hair to grow back thicker. Can you tell me your experience? Did it grow back thicker or not?
Christina Polyzos for me it did not, but I can't guarantee it, put a little bit on your face and see if it grows thicker, if it doesn't then lather it on your face, if it does then i suggest using a different product. :)
What about men hair...?
@@sulemanmalik9912 yes
Did Nair turn your skin black?
Great video and info. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!!
Yeah veet will be okay I think just reapply to some hair than having red spot and tungling sensation
After using hair removal creams, does the hair grow back different directions or same natural directions as always?
Does the hair removal creams change the color of your skin later after using them more times?
A tip for the hair for it to not burn you should wet the hair or area at first to soften the hir and then do it and wipe it off with a wet wash cloth
Thank you!! I've been using nair for years and wanted to know the pros and cons. This helped me out a lot
Guanidine carbonate react with hair keratin protein, can make the protein molecules into irregular evacuation structure, so that hair can easily fall off.
We know what a fucking depliroty is stfu
@@goochgrease3894 Did you think it is not good.
Charles Zhou I thought it was shit
@@goochgrease3894 may you have a not good experience for this products.
If you have residual hairs after using Veet, couldn't you just use it again to get rid of the leftover hairs? Or I guess, waiting a little while before doing it again?
I use nair and I have sensitive skin. You can use it you just have to take extra steps to make sure you don’t have bumps or rashes. The hair will always grow back itchy no matter what you do it’s not a reaction if you didn’t know that, it’s just natural. But if u get horrible bumps please to god tract the steps you did with any type of hair removal cream before saying it’s horrible for you. Sometimes it’s the technique not the product.. but if you did the right types .. never use it again

what extra steps should i take to ensure i don't have bumps or rashes ? and how can i counteract the itchy hair that grows back ?
@@shxtney I wild exfoliate really good afterwards in shower
THANK YOU I have only seen Nair videos and I wanted to get veet ❤️❤️
Why not yeet
I wonder if tape removed hair better?
Interesting Stuff clearly it didn’t
You can’t see the hair there 🤦🏻♀️
It didn't.
🤔 it's a joke guys 😅🥴
🤣🤣
Veet all the way I LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! will be buying ALOT more 💕💕💕
Doesn't it turn your skin dark and hair thicker?
@@omazaib2917 I have used veet and it doesn't make your skin darker
@@kitten2389 i used it and it made my skin darker :(
So they work yay just I've wanted to try these cuz it takes forever for me to shave and I don't like to do it
Does it work well I've been trying to convince my mom to let me shave my hairy legs but she doesn't want me to get strawberry legs so I want to use an alternative ☺
Jacky Wacky strawberry legs are just dirt. If you don’t want them all you have to do is exfoliate
Hmmm how long does it takes for the hair to grow back?
Next time remove it with a scraper because the tissue may irritate your skin
Where can I get one?
@@Miriam2136 it's not with mine :O
What if we just shower all together?
@@winterbearmia7206 personally I've tried it in the shower and I recommend using cold water instead of hot water, the odor and chemicals in it get very strong if you use hot water- so just be careful because the smell can get on your clothes and such
I know it left the bathroom smelling for awhile for me, so if you have a window in your bathroom, definitely let it air out afterwards if you can 😭
I hope this kinda helped^
*How long did you leave the Nair on for? There are so many different varieties of both to compare them. Have you ever tried Veet 3 in 1 gel cream?*
veet is the best
periodt.
Curious about these I've been shaving my arms i've gotten tattoos on each forearm and shaving then just uh....really sucks.
The damp cloth is a trap use the back of the tube and scrape gently, it works perfectly for years I've used veet and Mandy's
Nhlanhla Mbuyazi I believe it comes with a scraper
Try Magic Shave Powder or their Magic Shave Cream. You'll love it!
I didn't understand which is better can u tell me I am gonna do first time shaving
What is the shelf life of Veet? I didn't see a contact method on their website, so I don't know how to reach customer service. I have some Veet that is many years old, and I want to use it to clean my nit comb. I don't have nits or lice; I just use the fine-toothed comb to remove as many exogen hairs as I can so I can avoid dry mopping my floors as often, and prevent clogs in the drainage pipes when I have a bath. I thought that maybe soaking the metal tines in a dish of Veet could loosen the keratin/dead skin cells that are stuck between where the plastic handle of the comb meets the metal tines. Then I could use a cotton ball or some toilet paper to get rid of as much Veet residue as possible, then rinse off the tines with water, and then use an electric toothbrush and electric water flosser to try to loosen any remaining keratin and sebum. I'm guessing it would be bad to put an electric toothbrush or water flosser jet directly on the Veet residue, because you wouldn't want Veet flying everywhere, potentially landing on your eyelids or lips!!!
idk the veet i bought said 4-5 minutes and if it didnt remove the hair repeat the step
and you should do it evenly not just tapping your finger, and use the scrapper thingy instead of the paper towels
The scrappy thing=spatula!
a bath sponge would be great for removing that hair One of those little scrunchie sponges I got like three of them in my shower
i've heard that if you use baby oil after taking a shower or whatever to get it all off you wont feel irriated
What is this voodoo magic?!?! A cream to remove hair?! Socisiicjfigisdjks
no...its chemicals
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." The future is here
Kim Possible 😂😂😂
+Kim Possible
Haha, I know, right?!? I NEED to try this!
It like burns your hair
im sorry thid was useful but-
1) u should apply it to skin with the spatula thing u should get with the cream (my veet had one). it says or ive heard "do not rub it on with ure hands" a lot so dont do that.
2) u are supposed to use the spatula to 'scrape' the cream on ure arm off so the hair comes off, not with toilet paper or tissue
guys read the stuff on the box carefully to do it properly or else it might react with ure skin for you.
but either way thanks for the video ❤
Girl you used so much 😂
i mean..it said thick lol
it honestly depends how hairy you are.She did use too much for the amount of hair she has
Frrr
I’m hair as heck and that’s how much I have to use 😪
Miss angela i m male and i have a lot of hair on my cheek which cream should i use for it
How long did you keep the nair on?
Maybe the tingling from nair was because the tape was too tight but im not sure 🤔
Thanx for the test, goin w/ Veet myself❣🍑
I am very embarrassed about my arm hair. It’s very thick and it’s very dark, not a good combo. I have been bullied about it too so, I’ve been looking for hair removal options. I tried shaving but, the regrowth is terrible and it takes a while to shave. Waxing isn’t really comfy for me so I started looking at creams. This might just do the trick! Thanks!
Brilliant review.
I choose veet, because it doesn’t smell like rotten eggs
Yea nair is irritated for the skin...i used n got irritation...but good for those to whom it is suitable
Don't expect it to pull the hair out from the roots it more makes the hair brittle and break when you wipe it away. It leaves small stubble their hardly noticeable but veet works
thank you for the info 👍🏼
Dear , can you compare Veet and Ruoall hair removal cream ?
I tried nair and it gave me a bad allergy
The problem is the cream gets expensive cause you have to use it like every week or two weeks and I used mine up so quickly on just my legs
Your supposed to always put lotion after and it doesn't matter if it tingles
It is much better to use a laser epilator, I use the one from Monsia, it does not leave the skin irritated, on the contrary, it feels softer and softer.
Actually there was Nairs for sensitive skins so you can still with Nair.
Thanks a Million!
Nice hair bracelet
That exact Nair cream gave me an allergic reaction badly and it itches while it’s on a lot never use Nair
Hey i am a guy😬😕😕😕 and i have on my back hair and i tried a bio cream naturaverde and didnt work.is veet or the other cream better to wirk for me and any other advices😬😬😬😬😬😶😶😶😬😬😒😒😒😒😒😒😅😅😅😅
Can u try and do a review veet ravera?
Why am I watching this now,I need this
Can this work on public hair?
Are u supposed to apply it with an kinda spoon and not with ur hand??
I have pcos n I need tips on how to remove back hair 😭 one of my siblings said it looked quite obvious 💀💀💀should I use veet wax strips on my back or cream instead? If cream,Nair or Veet?
Can I use my beard that one
I wanna get this because shaving 🪒 is a pain in the asH but I’m afraid that I’ll put it on my head
did it grow faster after u did that
you're suppose to shower/ rinse off the area you naired afterwards
or use a moisturiser to prevent irritation
Yes for Nair😍
I use the nair with baby oil
Wait so which one is better I didn’t watch the vid ?
Nice review
Can you use deodorant after using this cream?
what do you. suppose to do...because.i tried this product. ..and the hair didn't. come all the way off...& i dont like to shave
who loves wwe apryl wwe apryl did you keep it on for the required amount? If yes, maybe try rubbing it off with a facecloth
KALEIDO jess Or a card, something like that
or use a stronger formula.Maybe you have "stronger" hair.Try using veet for men
Magic shave powder... you find it in the men's section. It stinks, bad, but it works. Try the sensitive skin. And it's really inexpensive.
Which one is better ?
So witch is safer to use ?
so it is not premanently??
So veet or nair good to remove hair? Sory my english is bad so i can't understand what she say😅
Veet is better to remove hair. But i still love nair.
Damn, you using way too much lol
One bottle will prolly last a week
Oliver S you’re supposed to do thick layers
Can we use water
does it grow thicker?
Thank you
I think nair is quicker cuz it's harsher on the skin
Yeet is way better doesn’t have a strong odor and doesn’t cause irritation
Thank you :3
I am a bloke and put this on my face to see if it would sort out my beard stubble.
Did take it off but made me bleed from around 20 blisters.
Yes I know not the face but hey I wanted to try.
At least I know now.
Pls is this safe on the face?
Hair remover smells terrible, shaving burns cause its leaves stubles and cuts and wax is expensive and painful
and epilating is painful, like waxing, idk what laser is like, but laser is expensive, maybe more than waxing
to get rid of the hair remover cream scent, you could do it outside in fresh air. or you could spray air freshener or light a candle or something like that.
Is this a lifetime
Thank you :)
Does it make ur hair grow back thicker or thinner or about the same?
It comes back the same not thicker or thinner and it comes back the same time as it would if you shaved. Its just better for people who don't like shaving or cut themselves a lot. If you wax hair comes back slower.
does it hurt when you wipe off the cream?
Cha Montigo no
Is it true that it darkens the skin? That's the only thing I'm worried about.
it does darken, it darkened my skin and it’s taken me like one year and my skin colour is slowly the same colour it used to be
I had an allergic reaction, I started bleeding where I applied it and had to go hospital.......
Which one
Makayla Shaw nair
What do you use now? Even i started bleeding after using Veet, now i dont know which one is the safe option apart from creams.
@@retale-digitalsme1791 creams is decent and an epilator is really good too. Hurts a lot when you start tho.
