- Led by Anthony Davis' 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 blocks, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1, 128-112. Rui Hachimura (29 points, 5 3PM) and LeBron James (21 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists) added a combined 50 points for the Lakers in the victory, while Jaren Jackson Jr. tallied 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Grizzlies. The Lakers lead this best-of-seven series, 1-0, with Game 2 taking place on Wednesday, April 19 (7:30 p.m. ET, TNT).
Austin Reaves (14 points, 5-5 FG in 4th quarter) became the 3rd Laker over the last 25 seasons to finish 100% FG (min. 5 attempts) in the 4th quarter of a playoff game, joining:

A true pride of Japan? I'm surprised there were even black people in Japan in the '90s, to be honest. Nowadays, I know there are a few blacks there but...
I knew Rui was a great player. However, there were many things that needed to be corrected, such as his recent poor shooting touch. But it is good to see the weaknesses clearly, and Rui has the ability to correct them. I thought that would be something we could practice in the off-season
But in just a few days, he has not only corrected his shooting touch, but he has refined every aspect of his game. Rui is a terrific player, far beyond anything I could have imagined
Credit to Lakers Assistant Coach Phil Handy who Rui has mentioned has helped really clean up his game and teaching him new skills!

I think their relationship is truly special. Phil said he reminds him of Kawhi in Toronto. I hope the Lakers keep Rui and Reaves
The entire day I was trying to think what changed about Rui’s shot. And I just realized his arc when shooting is much higher now and has a much more relaxed release.
