Bro, I've seen like 20 mic release tutorials, they are like 15-20 minutes each one. This is by far the best and its just five minutes. You speak about things others left aside, like timming, and edition helps to know where to look. Hope you understand my english just wanted to thank and congratulate you friend!
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement, my friend! 🙏🏼 I hope this tutorial helps you unlock this move! Practice. Be patient. Trust the process! 😄👊🏼
I'm so excited to thank you that I've achieved to continue jumping after releasing and grab the mic 11 times successfully today after 9 months of countless attempts and only succeeded once.Thank you for sharing the important points, you're the best👍👍👍
Thank you so much, my friend! 🙏🏼 I’m happy to hear this video helped you better understand this slick trick! Practice, practice, practice, and you will nail it! 😄
Oh my God this works!! Thank you!!! I watched A LOT of mic release tutorials and something was not clicking until I found your video. Now my only problem is catching the handle 😂 I managed twice but seems to not be consistent but your video is the only one that actually made me manage to spin the rope once or twice vertically upon release. Thank you so much!
I have been practiced rope skipping since the COVID years and now is able to play some basic tricks. However, this mic release trick is just the amazing one that I always want to master. Thanks for making it and has demonstrated all the key points for doing this which are straight forward but interesting. Remember today, hope I can finally have a good play of it eventually.
@@Forte.Athletics oh yes boss! This surely helped…haven’t unlocked the move yet…am at that stage which you have shown as “what to expect” 😁 ….after smashing a few bulbs, getting the rope tangled to the fan, had kind of given up…your video broke it down well and can thank you for having caught the handle twice in my 10 attempts post your video…which is a record for me 🤩
Woah.honestly I've looked up at so many other videos of 10 -15 mins and this one 5 min video explained everything so much better! Appreciate your explanation! Thanks a lot!
Trying to learn this and kinda getting the release and whisking part. Just have to really figure out how to catch it as I'm stuck at that point 😆 Thank you for the awesome video! ❤️
Omg! I've been practicing for months! I work 24hr shifts and spend a lot of that time practicing that release. It was your rhythmic strip that done it!!! Thanks so much!!!!!
I love the breakdown and further explanation of the details like the apex and insertion of the triplet. My only problem with mic release is that I absolutely cannot do it without shortening my rope further. What happens is that I drop being able to do other techniques because I cannot jump over the rope anymore because it's too short for the sake of being able to perform mic release 🤣
That’s the reason I use two different ropes :) Eventually you’ll settle into a size that allows your to do tricks including the mic release, but first you’ll need to iron out the technique with the shorter rope :)
i just caught my first releases after watching this, and you’re so funny that makes it easier to digest! great tutorial of the most wanted trick to unlock ❤️🔥
Woooo! Congratulations, my friend! I’m happy to hear you caught your first release 🙌🏼😄Now it’s all about drilling and practicing to get it consistent and fluid 😎
This is the best tutorial I've ever seen!!! After watched this vid, I started to catch the handle last week and the today I can grap the handle perfectly. Thank you so much. You are the LEGEND bro. Love this
*That moment you finally catch the handle*🤯 haha! Love it! Super happy to hear you are learning to understand the physics of this awesome move, my friend! If you ever share your work on IG tag me @forte.athletics so I can admire your work!🤩🙏🏼
Thank you so much, my friend! I wish you all the best on your mic release journey! It took me several practice sessions before I felt even remotely comfortable with it. Stick with it and one day it will start clicking! 🙌🏼😄
I love how you added a hint of comedy into your tutorial🤣 Nways, thank you.. your tutorial is the best so far eventhough it was short😁 love from singapore xx
Thanks Derek! 😄 LMK when you’re ready to start your jump journey and I’ll help you get started with some great tools 👊🏼 Also- happy to hear you appreciate the voice modulations 😆
Aww I appreciate you, bud! A beaded rope is best for learning releases because the added weight from the beads increases sensory feedback, which accelerates the learning process when compared to a lighter rope.
This trick can certainly be learned and performed with a pvc rope, but if you plan on practicing different release variations, a beaded rope is the right tool for the job.
Awww, thank you so much, my friend! 🙏🏼😊 I absolutely recommend learning the mic release with a beaded rope. The added weight from the beads increases sensory feedback which helps with the learning process.
@@Forte.Athletics I did but It probably would have cut my learning time a lot had I seen this. I especially like how you explained the rhythm of the move. Its one thing doing it stationary, its a whole other thing doing with on a skip.
I've been practicing for about a week now and the problem I am having is the rope wrapping around my wrist that I'm "whisking" with. What is causing this? Also, your ropes are by far the best for tricks.
I've been there! I found the problem is extending the arm too far into whirlwind of doom. Try to keep your whisking hand closer to the body and see if that helps! Also, super happy to hear you are enjoying the learning process with the Tempo Rope! 😄🙏🏼🙌🏼
To echo a lot of the other praising comments: Thank you for this awesome tutorial. Straight to the point, encouraging and - best of all - several helpful cues. I especially love the rhythmic primer to start with. (I just started with the mic release and got the one loop while whisking it - and will work on the rhythm next.)
There should be a knot inside the handle. Untie the knot, slide the handle (and washer) off the rope, remove the desired amount of beads, put back on the handle and washer, then re-tie the knot! I have a video of this early in my upload history. I hope this helps! 😄

That makes me SO happy to hear! 😄🥳 Keep up your practice and you’ll get it slicker and slicker! I’d love to see a vid of you nailing it sometime! 😄🤘🏼
My hand hurt and is swollen because of the hits from the handle. But this tut is good.

I see some skippers having both handles in one hand and releasing one to the other side. Any chance you can explain that, please? Thank you.
Dude you’re my hero! You suggested to me a beaded rope on Instagram, why is that and how is it prime to a regular?
Aww I appreciate you, bud! A beaded rope is best for learning releases because the added weight from the beads increases sensory feedback, which accelerates the learning process when compared to a lighter rope.
This trick can certainly be learned and performed with a pvc rope, but if you plan on practicing different release variations, a beaded rope is the right tool for the job.

How long should I expect to be doing this correctly?
Hey bro what shoes you are wearing...,
Hello. I can catch it with my hand but not my foot. More practice i guess. Been practicing for 2 hrs
It may take a couple more days to click. Keep practicing and I know you’ll get it!
Is it for Beaded Rope? Can you do it in regular 5mm rope.
It can technically be done with a 5mm rope, it will just be more challenging to learn.
Hey..how to adjust the length of beaded rope
There should be a knot inside the handle. Untie the knot, slide the handle (and washer) off the rope, remove the desired amount of beads, put back on the handle and washer, then re-tie the knot! I have a video of this early in my upload history. I hope this helps! 😄
It is too hard for me:(
Am I dumb for trying to learn this with a 5mm pvc rope or do I need to suck it up and use a beaded rope?
It’s possible to learn and perform this trick with a 5mm pvc rope, but it will be much easier to feel what is going on with a beaded rope!
what to do if i keep hitting the handle to the floor, even i tho i spinit like crazy. idk what to do. release is correct i think
IF the handle is hitting the floor, i recommend aiming higher. Aim to keep your hand around chest/shoulder level. I hope this helps!
