Yeah, other than the best it's all pretty plain. But I think that is a plus for those of us who like basics. I wish they would've chosen a color palate that included yellows, greens, oranges, and/or browns.
#7 Favorite. Favorite colors and love the coats. #1 is 2nd due to the coat but all around chic look. #6 I have those outfits so can make that. And #8. Comes in in 4th place. Wearing the t-neck with that dress makes it look more like a jumper so it works for me. I have two of that outfit because I wanted to make two looks. One with a white t-neck, vest, the dark teal skirt and tights of the same color teal. The second look is the purple t-neck shirt, vest, homemade denim skirt and I changed the tights for the same purple that's in the vest. I don't like mixing purples like the orchid in the vest with lavender purple colored tights. I'll use the lavender tights with another homemade outfit. A floral fabric with that shade of purple.
I love how this got your own creative juices flowing and I see we're in agreement about those beautiful teal and yellow coats. Bless the talented doll clothing sewists of the world - they are truly elevating my dolls' wardrobe!!
Hi AG Takes Over I've been playing with the idea of making Julie a Historical actuate crochet vest. Right now I'm still in the mock up playing with my yarn trying different granny squares until I get it right using left over yarn from making baby nephews blanket. Im debating on Doing videos about it cause I'm not working off of a pattern or anything I'm just making one just a plain Granny square and I'll figure out the rest by looking at the pictures of Julie's crochet vest. I might just make it up as I go if Theirs some parts of the vest that I might have to change around. So far I've been crocheting on and off trying to start the vest but I unravel it and start over It's a challenge I've never made a crochet vest for my Dolls before. I've been wanting to make something like a vest for a while now using granny squares.
I'm so glad! They're never particularly popular videos, but I enjoy making them and I know the people who *do* watch them genuinely enjoy them, so I keep makin' them :)
That was a fun video to watch. I actually watched it on my way to work and circling back to comment. You favs are my favs. Thanks for sharing the aftermath ~ I can totally relate! My doll-room is usually a complete mess after I do a video. I have the outfit, but haven’t unboxed it yet along with other items I purchased as part of that release …one of these days I’ll get around to it I’ve been too busy doing other things you know how it goes lol.
Oh, friend! The aftermath. It's so real! This video, the recent one with a lot of Grace's clothes, and the MASSIVE Pride project I just completed...it has been a WHIRLWIND in that little doll room. Whew!
I plan on getting this outfit because it is so adorable AND has purple in it (my fav color)! I too love the to top two outfits you gave high marks to, both of the overcoats were amazing. I saw that you briefly put white boots with the white skirt/purple top/white jacket ensemble and I thought it looked great! I really like that outfit a lot but thought it would have looked better with the white boots with the tights. No tights and the purple shoes might have worked too. I’m not a fan of the tights with the purple shoes of this outfit. Thank you for the great way of unboxing this new outfit and incorporating your great sense of mix and match. This was a very fun video to watch. Hope you and your girlie enjoyed your swim.
I did in the 70s, of course. I also split my jeans open and put the rest of them to make a jeans skirt because they didn’t have them but we wanted them so we made them ourselves and I definitely put shirts over shirts all the time but I was in high school in the 70s early 70s, so we were like happy hippies. Too young to vote too young to protest although we tried I’ve been out of high school for over 50 years. I know it’s seems so old and we really didn’t care what we look like. We just wanted to be different. It took a big toll on my mom and dad. I was the oldest the morning I came out to go to my first day of high school. My dad looked at what I had on which was a pair of jeans and A Shirt and I had a flannel shirt put on my waist and he told me to go put a dress on and I said no I have waited nine years to not have a dress code and you’re not ruining my first day of school. It was one of the disagreements that we would have through my teen years that I actually won. by the time the youngest made it in the high school girls were wearing crop tops, and just these little slivers of clothing and I thought to myself it’s a good thing. Scott is a boy because dad would probably have had a heart attack if he had to see another, one of his daughters dressed like we did at the end of the 70s.
That coat is phenomenal. I thought my gosh is there a coat that I missed somewhere? Of course it looks so professional and this woman made it must be I just ordered Julie she will be the first dial that I have purchased for myself. I do have several dollars however, they were purchased for me by a very, very sweet gentleman who unfortunately left me a little too soon, and if you believe in coincidence it’s kind of freaky he died on my ex-husband‘s birthday. At the time it blew my mind. I’ve had eight years to get over it so just one of those weird things totally inappropriate for the space I know, but he was so good about making sure that every Christmas, I got a doll and an outfit and every birthday he would surprise me with two outfits and Halloween costume. He was a very great man and I miss him every day. You don’t find too many 67-year-old men who are willing to go into the American girl store by themselves And say I’m looking for something for my girlfriend. all of your outfits were amazing that yellow coat is just divine. I have to say it again I’m a quilt maker, so I’m used to working with small pieces and I have all of the original patterns. Maybe it’s time to get them out. Give them a good mixup thank you for always showing really incredible ways to make your doll super special.
Julie, mon amour! I love her Born in 1974 here so... But I can't decide whether to get her or not; totally undecided! I love all the mix & match you've created with the clothing sets 💜 Peace & Love
Ohh...@@agtakesover ! Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it. I'm so behind on my wish list. She's not even in the top 20 LOL.... Before 2024 ends I want to get, at least, an Addy, Sonali or Joss face mold. I'll be lucky if I get one :))
I actually love the turtleneck under the spaghetti strap dress, but my favorites are the looks incorporating her original meet and the AGOT white blouse. I also really like the turtleneck paired with the school jumper. I love those Etsy jackets, btw. Where did you get the clear framed glasses?
NGL I was pretty proud of myself for how I used the original meet shirt with the granny square vest. And I wish I could tell you where I got those glasses. Most likely in some random lot of odds and ends I bought.
Such a fun video! My favorite is # 1. The yellow coat was to die for! The second one I loved is #8. I liked the mock turtle neck with the dress. Since I live in the state of mildew (washington) I can see someone putting a turtle neck under their dress. The other ones I loved are #3, 37 and #9., Yeah, the purple tights just didn't cut it today but on the whole everything else was cute!!!
This was wonderful! I love how you got to 10 and just kept going. :) So fun. The teal and purple is my favorite (also my favorite colors and I love the pattern on the skirt as well). I just put those teal sandals on a doll today and you were right - they are from a mix and match. They're called the Criss-Cross Sandals and they're from 2018. I love them.. They are some of my favorite sandals. I won't be getting this outfit because I only collect one outfit from each named character and I already have Julie's Calico Dress and I love it and don't want to part with it. :) I also have Julie's original PJs, but I consider PJs to be a separate category than other outfits. Thanks for sharing this - it was really fun!
I didn't realize you only collect one outfit from each named character. I don't think I could do that, but I do enjoy learning about the different quirks of your collection approach :)
These outfits are great! You are very good at showing the versatility of outfits. When you make the bracelets, what kind of string do you use? I have used the stretchy clear elastic string but struggle to keep it tied.
#7 - the sandals are from AG fashion show 😅 I love everything about this video❤. I store my outfits with all their pieces together in A4 plastic envelopes (I have about 65 AG truly me outfits and several of the mix and match sets, not counting historical outfits and Etsy finds) and with adhd I get so paranoid about losing pieces and forgetting where I put them, it gives me anxiety... I love how freely you play with your fashion pieces. I actually bought this Julie outfit last weekend and it’s on the way! I’m a huge Julie fan. Thank you for this video.
I'm so glad you liked it! idk if you're newish to the channel or not, but I do a lot of these videos. Mostly I pick one ITEM and create 10 looks with it. You can find that playlist pretty easily on the channel. Also, if you're interested in knowing a bit about how I store our doll stuff (and how I can play freely with their clothes and still put the outfits back together with relative ease), you can check out a two part series I did a while back: ua-cam.com/video/3KwYc6oNSkI/v-deo.htmlsi=PZkNddd74ETy9ELf and ua-cam.com/video/k675wei6A6s/v-deo.htmlsi=RZUHtR6n2rA5T76O
I like outfit #8. It’s the mock turtleneck with the spaghetti strap dress. That seems like a good spring look. Siri g here can be kinda cool, so this looks springy to me.
Love this video! My favourite part of this outfit is the tights - I’m obsessed with tights (for me, and for dolls, lol.) My dolls are almost never bare legged, and I never am. Most of these outfits you made I was like “omg but add the tights too” lol!
I love the first outfit with the yellow jacket. What outfit are the pants from? The vest with the oversized shirt was nice. Love love love number 7 with the teal jacket outfit. Number 8 with the top under a dress was cute. Overall you got some great looks from the school outfit.
The pants in that first outfit were part of the Sweet Street mix n' match collection. and that teal jacket is from an etsy shop that seems to be indefinitely on break, unfortunately.

This was a fun video! There were many good looks out of that outfit. My favorites were the ones with the granny square top worn as a sleeveless shirt and the ones with the coats. And the one with the striped halter top! (that has the cut-out in front) Speaking of that halter top.....has Grace been able to find a pattern for it? I have searched and can't find it. I also love the black and white ones you have in that style, but the shops you got yours from haven't had them in stock. So, I'd love to make my own! It was fun to see the striped one, too. I think I'm going to dress my Ivy similar to the outfit you did with the granny square vest and some shorts. She needs something fun to wear for summer! Oh! another thing...I like how you used the pieces from Maplelea's Monncakes outfit. I hadn't thought of the mix/match potential of that outfit. It makes me much more tempted to buy it. (that could be a fun outfit to feature in a "different looks" video!)
The rainbow shirt is the top part of an Apple Totes dress pattern. And yes, there's a lot of mix n match potential in that Mooncakes outfit! I'm glad you enjoyed it (and hope you enjoy today's video!)
I am not cleaning that up. But you put together those outfits they are so wonderful that you can make a mess because the results were amazing. Enjoy your swimming.
I just got this outfit. I am going to wash it before I put it on Julie. I have both of her jeans from her original outfit and her before ever outfits. I want to see how they look together.
One last thing, where did the saddle shoes come from? I would think it would probably be like Molly’s era. I still love saddle shoes. I had to wear them most of my young life but they weren’t a big problem for me. I just love them and I still do in fact I own five or six adult pairs.
I like outfit #8. It’s the mock turtleneck with the spaghetti strap dress. That seems like a good spring look. Siri g here can be kinda cool, so this looks springy to me.
I love the outfit your daughter put on Julie! Really love the top!
Thank you so much! I always like when she participates and she's so supportive of me and this hobby.
I agree with so many of your grades. Great job again! I love those yellow and blue long coats.
Yes! Trench coats for the WIN!
I just got mine today. I love it. So great that it comes with all those parts. And that vest!!!

I think the white button under the vest be is cute maybe with a skirt
