I have had two of these diesels from Maserati and found them to be great cars with NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. A GREAT BUY. If you want something different to a BMW,Mercedes, Jaguar or Audi.... 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
@@exponentialhorse Wow this was 6y ago. I bought Giulietta after 159 and then replaced it with Peugeot 508 from my company :) I would still buy Ghibli though. They are not so rare even here in my country. Hybrid probably now.
So? Many cars share the same tyres. Lots share third-party sourced equipment under the bonnet. Car people will care about how it drives, not what the gadgets do.
@@lolkevandewitte1713I’m looking at a 2014 diesel with 111000 miles. Worried about reliability but you say diesel is very good just keep am eye on oil consumption? Any other things to look out for? Thanks.
@@Strato777 I own a Ghibli diesel now for almost 5 years. It has done almost 135k miles now. I’ve had no issues, except the sound booster in the exhaust system has failed on me. It will be replaced shortly. But for the rest zero issues. I do give an extra oil change in between. The engine is the A630 HP built by VM Motori, and is also used in the Quattroporte and Levante. If you do buy it: loose the Pirelli’s Pzero’s, go for the Michelin Pilot sport 4s: it is a much better drive, and they last much longer.
This Ghibli tested is around £55,000 with the extras it has.......and the wood on the doors is wood...not plastic!! The car tested has extended leather (So the middle of the dash - around the clock etc., is not leather, only on the left and right binnacle and the door arms) It also has upgraded wheels, memory seats, adaptive lights with washers, heated seats and paddle shifters which are all extra.
Great review, perfect wavelength for the majority of buyers. Well done that man!

A good informative review
great review thanks
Hope I will replace my Alfa Romeo 159 2.4jtdm with Ghibli like this. That would be decent successor.
How did it go buddy?

whats your point? Retarded comment
You both are tvvats
Mainly because of the shared technologies of other brands in the motor group that Maserati belongs to
Why is rafa benitez doing car reviews? lol good review though
275 kmh??
Surely you must have set the sat nav to go somewhere otherwise it wouldn't be giving directions?
Perhaps learning how to turn the damn thing off would've been a good idea?
It took me 20 seconds to Google how to turn the voice off!
Is the Diesel engine reliable? I mean is the built quality good considering the fact that it's a Maserati?
yes - just make sure you change the oil regularly
IS IT RELIABLE?
I have a ‘14 diesel, 204.000 km’s, flawless. I do an extra oil change in between, that’s all.
