Today we are talking all about how to get rid of odor in your house. Whether it be cigarette smells, pet odors, kid odors, etc...a combination of an electronic air cleaner and uv light system is the best way we have found to get rid of odor in the house. Matt shares his experience of getting rid of cigarette smell in the house of his grandparents. He found that installing a micropower guard electronic air cleaner helped tremendously in riding his grandparents home of a cigarette smell.

I have 7 large dogs. What can I put on my unit to reduce tge dog smell.We currently have 1 uv light on our unit but I'm not sure of the placement. We always have a lot of dog hair..I vacuum daily. I also use a murv 7 filter.

Cigarette smells, rip out the duct work and start over. Use a lot of primer on the walls.

You need to block that smell. Cigarette smoke is embedded in the walls. A good oder sealing primer needs to be used. Tear out all rugs. Go with vinyl flooring. Rugs are velcro for crap. Unfortunately if its real bad you will have to wash down everything prior. How you wash wood I dont know. Hopefully cement is under the floor. Look at it this way. You buy a place and you want to make it your own anyway. I have heard ozone does not work and is dangerous.
