- “Make sure even when you’re playing soft to stay really supported (with the air). You’ve got to have your hands on two different knobs:
1) The knob for how much air
2) The knob for how fast that air is going
And even when you’re not using that much air, make sure that what you are using is still fast. That’ll keep the clarity up.”
- Adam Rapa to Nathaniel Harrigan during the LOTUS event at PM Music Center in Aurora.

Always kids named Nathaniel
This is so funny.
16 years old… damn!! This is one of the best things about technology today. In the course of a day you can learn lessons that may have otherwise taken years, or maybe would have never been found. 🙏🏼❤️👊🏼
I am in my 40s and I thank the internet every day for getting me back to playing trumpet the right way 😅 while I never took a lesson in high school.
In the last run I noticed the mouthpiece. Is this mp one of the new Lotus models? Killer tone!
Who recognized that song?
Four by Miles Davis
Best jazz singer ever
Hey I remember playing with Nathan at merit . Knew he would be good
Exactly right but the wording….how does the human brain interpret the word support? In the words of a very great teacher “the body doesn’t understand English.”
From what i have learnt, its about engaging your core, however, not straining muscles in neck and so on. Engaged core gives better support, because the air gets slightly faster. Thats what it feels like atleast
БРАВО
Im so cooked bro 😭
6:38 damn haha
wait what he's 16? he looks like 22.
