Why this TV always go in smart tv mode even when the only source is HDMI cable?
Do you think it‘s worth buying or rather go with another Alternatvie (hisense u77hq for example). Thanks.
hisense has impressive overall specs, but motion processing is still better on philips, apps are similar. check out 8 series with google android tv for the best apps support...

it has very nice colors, if you need more apps and voice control go with pus85, otherwise its a good 4k smart tv in its class.

So I got a Philips TV 8108 yesterday. It is the laggiest and slowest thing I have ever spent money on, by far. Is this normal?! It wasn't turning off yesterday via the remote or on the TV, I had to use Alexa to turn it off. It takes about 45 seconds just to turn on. I don't bother with any of the Apps because thank God I have a Firestick for everything and a soudbar, but the basic functions are shocking - on and off taking that long?
7608 is faster than android google tv, check out if all apps are updated and reset wifi router settings.
8108 have other chip than 88 and 85 also not this same like 7608. 88, 85 having 4 cores processor, 7608 have this same what Hisense have some Chinese Novatec T30. 8108 have new Philips smart TV system. Only 85XX and higher have Google TV. Philips 8108 isnt tecnologicall geek and have poor WIFI. So You need to use LAN cable like me and is OK.
@@tomaszhowaniec5409 it's actually fine now. I have no idea what happened (maybe a software update, who knows) but it is responsive, fast and works normally - the beginning was shocking though lol

Philips 7608 or tcl c645?
c645 or c655 are higher tier and more comparable with pus8508 or pus8509 series, its similiar in terms of hdr brightness with pus7. philips has still some advantage with their natural color calibration, but overall tcl has more features.
@@TechWatcher These models are not available in my country. Can you suggest the best screen for $500, 50 inch from Samsung, LG, Tcl , or Sony?
