Prime is like healthier alternative to Kool Aid. I actually really like the flavor in comparison. But you actually can tell the difference in your body when you drink Gatorade while exercising. It's like your second wind in a bottle and you can plan on it. The Prime stops your thirst, but doesn't seem to do much more than that and it's relatively brief.
So Hydration Drinks Need: - High amounts of sodium because that's what you sweat out during training. - Glucose (sugar) to quickly transfer the sodium. - Small amounts of potassium, magnesium, and other electrolytes that are lost in small amounts during training. - Carbohydrates to replenish energy stores. Gatorade has all these components, while Prime has close to no sugar, only 10 mg of sodium, a vast amount of unnecessary potassium, and no carbohydrates. Her take as a Nutritionist: "Well, it depends on if you want to do sports or not" (It's a comparison of two sports drinks). "Nearly the same amount of electrolytes" (Except for the kinds of electrolytes that are not needed during training, i.e., no sodium and high amounts of potassium). "Artificial sweeteners just don't have carbs, so better than sugar" (Not for hydration. Additionally, artificial sweeteners come with various health risks). Prime’s key to success: - Make a "good" tasting, unhealthy drink. - Add tons of potassium so you can claim it’s high in electrolytes and market it as a hydration drink to make it seem healthy. - Sign major sports teams and athletes who definitely wouldn't use Prime while exercising, just to maintain the supposed healthy image. - Target kids between 12-18 by using Logan Paul and KSI, because kids love extremely sweet things. -The reason Prime seems to taste a lot less salty than Gatorade and other sports drinks is due to the lower amount of sodium (salt).
Considering that you are a nutritionist why didn't you go into any detail about the vitamin content inside of prime? I would like to know weather whether it is excessive or is it a valuable amount of vitamins?
excessive. there is a reason that they say to only drink one prime a day. let me list it for you. (All percents are percent daily value, Potassium - 15% Vitamin A (Too much will kill you) - 100% Vitamin E - 100% Vitamin B6 - 200% Vitamin B12 - 200% Magnesium - 30% That is why you shouldnt drink too much prime. drinking 10 primes in a row can cause liver failure, bone thinning, extreme headaches, and death
You must have been bought out. The electrolyte profile is quite bad for hydration in comparison to Gatorade with the very low sodium in Prime. Also, why was it a draw for carbs when sports drinks really should only be used when you are going super hard and sweating a bunch ie also needing the energy from carbs. The b vitamins contained are actually good but I have concern for people chugging the levels of potassium, magnesium, and vit a when they have yet to get more from their food sources. Overabsorption of these is dangerous.
Prime isnt better for you, dont believe me? DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU DRINK SOMETHING. Also, less calories doesnt mean healthier, you need calories to give your body ENERGY. Also, prime may have 2 times the amount of electrolytes, but, they arent the right electrolytes to help you excercise or rehydrate. 700 mg of potassium and only 10 mg of sodium for prime. Gatorade has 160 mg of sodium and 45 mg of potassium. YOU NEED WAY MORE SODIUM THAN POTASSIUM. sodium helps with your salt levels, which cn decrase the amount of water you loose when you sweat, helping you exersise more and stay hydrated longer, gatorade is the better option. Oh yeah, one more thing. JUST BECAUSE TWO POPULAR PEOPLE MADE SOMETHING DOESNT MEAN ITS A BETTER CHOICE, your not cool because you say you like prime.
Prime is good but gatorade is better for athletes. It has a superior division of electrolytes and sodium and has added sugars for dropped blood sugars.
Hey 🙋🏻♀️ I have a video all about sugar vs sweeteners that you might be interested in ua-cam.com/video/_Ir_T5oHaWM/v-deo.html Thanks for watching! 👍🏻😊
This video s/b a little more clear. Im assuming that its talking about regular gatorade. There is a difference between gatorade and gatorade zero. Yet it shows them both
Gatorade is really good and it used to be my favorite but now I heard about prime and I thought that prime would just be baloney and it would taste the exact same is Gatorade and it’s just a rip off, but then I tried prime, and I like to prime 30 times more than I like to Gatorade and I love the Gatorade, which means prime is literally the best hydration drink in the universe

🙋🏻♀️Hey, thanks for the suggestion! it's something I'll look into 👍
I have a feeling she might not be a complete nutritionist at least not full time because she didn’t go in depth and literally called ml “millimeters.”

Can I drink prime and then file a law suit on the grounds that it wasn't good for me, also falsely advertised/hyped up.
Logan Paul and KSI know all about draws.
😂
💀💀💀
How did prime literally have more than double the electrolytes yet the round was still a draw?

This is why Gatorade is better then prime.
I prefer the less sugar (carbs) and salt in Prime. To me, it tastes better as well. My favorites 1)Pink 2) Blue.
Prime is good but gatorade is better for athletes. It has a superior division of electrolytes and sodium and has added sugars for dropped blood sugars.
If you are a Fortnite gamer than prime is the thing for you but if you are an actual athlete then Gatorade is the thing for you.
Artifical sweeteners are worse for you
