One of the best done reviews I have seen. Well constructed and thought out.

Beautiful game and another well done review! I love the possibility to choose a segment of the review and skip parts. I wish more reviewers would take the time to do this.

Thanks! On the one hand I want it to catch on so that I can enjoy it when I watch other's videos, on the other hand I do like being unique :)

The video in general and especially of you sitting at the table talking is clearly better than it was before the new camera. Definitely worth the investment.

Great review, sweet spot is definitely 4. Those pink cubes are worth their weight in gold during a 3 player game!
I really think you should try that card draft idea. It should run smooth with seeing your available bricks, most card picks should be almost no brainers.
A negative of mine is I've seen some runaway winners lead to some anti climatic endings.

The more I think about it, the more I think I may give a hand draft a shot. It probably wouldn't add that much time since it'd only be 3 times a game and only 4-6 cards depending on player count and what round it is. I haven't seen runaway leaders actually, though we did see someone who appeared to be in a good lead able to pull off the win. The gap usually seemed to be within 20 points which doesn't seem too bad when the scores are over 100.

really great structure and I agree with 90% of the things you allocate to positive, neutral and negative.
i played my first game yesterday, with 5 people.
we forgot that 2 pink bricks can be traded for another brick...and that the scrolls can be kept hidden (while I didnt have any).
except for the winner (106pts), we were quite close between 80 and 89.
my biggest negative is the 1-6pts dice....this one is pure luck.
I cant remember any 3-dice-chucking with me involved where that die showed more than a three.
I agree resp. can imagine 4 players being best...and would like to try the game again with that player counts.
though, there are indeed too many random+tactical things which makes me not being interested to buy it myself.
    I have rated it a 7.25....seing potential for a 7.5 with 4 players.

I really didn't mind the random allocation of actions. It's input random so it has to be managed. Otherwise a really good and thorough review.

I can easily see this being a divisive opinion, for some this won't be an issue at all. It seemed to affect me and my play group much more than I wanted, but I'm happy that for others it's been working and feeling more as intended :)

The card draw is, to me, more of a feature than a bug. Much of history is influenced by random and freakish events. It is good though that the card draw is only part of the game.

You said at 16:05 you start with no brick. Yes, you don't have a lot at beginning but at least one of each color. It certainly open some options like use special yellow action to enter easy city, go in city costing one or activate low cost personality.

This is a very good catch, and I honestly missed this in the rules when I played. This means we had tougher beginnings to the games than we should have. I actually looked to see if players started with bricks but missed this rule, I'm not happy about this but I don't think it affects my overall opinions of the game.

it would create more tension at the end. The game is well calibrated (I have more than 10 plays) with the different card number in starting hand for only the first turn. This should always create an end with very few open city spots. It's a game you can be screw on some parts of the scoring, sometimes by pure luck. But there's so many ways to score in this game! On the whole game, you will be lucky on some and unlucky on others. You must have many ways and don't whine to much if some don't work.
Also, your game should have less points by single noble at end of round 1. Scoring card drew at round 1 are more likely to be unplayable.
You are maybe too busy but trying it but if you want to give it another try, you should feel another tension level. Sometime, you could generate a cycling effect at the end like "I create a wedding, giving me ressources to create a new wedding next turn...". And have a mentality "I will create many and I will score on most of them but surely not all of them" is the key do well in this game. Focus on few things don't work well in this game, and your wrong rule start trailed you in this way.
So give me some news if you try it again! And thanks for doing videos with such a great care of quality and structure. This comment is really NOT a complaint.
