its interesting seeing how excited you are to open it to the disappointment of getting Haas and Alpine tat. I think those mystery boxes are always gonna have the lower ranked teams stuff because all the RB and Merc Ferrari stuff people will buy individually.
Hey Luke. I've got a box of bits off my crashed Triumph GT6 and a few more from bits left over from restoring a Mini Cooper. For only €2,000 I can post them direct including shipping. Interested? No haggling, I know what I've got.
I was a marshal at 3 World Rally event stages in darkest Wales back in the 80's. I can vouch for getting stuff like this for nothing. Never bothered me, but the way guys would dive on bits knocked off cars was akin to watching scavenging birds alighting over dead carcasses. Actual fighting over a bit of bumper or light lens was common.
My good friend works in the sports memorabilia industry and he said the mystery boxes are used to get rid of stuff that did not sell after they went on clearance. Usually, this means that the athlete is not popular or they mispriced the item, or both.
Hey Luke. Love your videos and I hope you are genuinely happy with your items, but I don't think I would have been. For me, mystery boxes should be avoided. They are normally just a way of clearing out stock lines that aren't selling well with a couple of decent items so the customer doesn't feel completely ripped off! As for totalling up to see what they are worth, you are actually totalling up to see what they cost. What they are worth is very subjective to the buyer, depending on the team or driver that they support. Also, not having a way to check the gift card balance without placing an order is sneaky as f*** and just a way to make an extra sale. That replica helmet will be interesting to see when you get it. I think you will be surprised at how small it is. It said 1:2 scale, but that's 1/2 the length, 1/2 the width and 1/2 the height so only 1/8th the whole size, and it's just a small toy helmet in a case for £268. That said, I know how big an F1 fan you are so I think you'll probably love it anyway. Please show us when it arrives.
@@johnclarke2997 Yeah, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe they could provide some more info with the parts, like "Front Wing from Kevin Magnusson's car, crashed in Mexico City October '23". A bit of provenance would increase the value.

Thank you for the video, but really not worth it.
I agree.
Let’s see if version 2 coming in a few months is worth it
Happy Luke you love it mate don't you...... But a grand for that is bit on the expensive side, think deep down you were a bit disappointed with that but if you like it mate that's all that counts 👍 mystery box's are a no no in my eyes not worth it..... Enjoy it mate
Thank you 👍👍
