my bag weighs about 40 pounds. it's an air-force style paratrooper bag with a quick release so if i need to get away faster i can, but i have ample amount of strength to carry it around with ease and this bag of mine could let me live completely off the grid for, easily, 3 years, maybe more if i am really conservative. MREs for special occasions, a full cooking set including folding pots and pans which is just clipped to the outside and water filtration systems, grenola bars, food and water, sewing kits, first aid kits, a whole ass tackle box and a foldable small, compact, but heavy-duty fishing rod etc etc etc. apocalypse hits im gonna be living quite comfortably.
@@sergeantsonso3490 lol. You know all 700 edible plants in your area? Ok dude, somebody like myself will be taking your bug out bag from you when the zombies hit, cause your not ready.
@@sergeantsonso3490 your not going to get all the vitamin C that you need and you will die if the only thing you were eating is fish and nothing else( you mentioned your food source as a breakdown fishing pole). If you do plan on going John Wayne on a m*********** and just eating nothing but fish you will need to eat portions of uncooked fish skin to get your vitamin C.
😂 Yeah, I mean, we all come from different backgrounds and different legal environments, but if somebody was so inclined… That could be a very useful flashlight in a crisis
There's a difference between face masks with a filter and without. I don't know what sort of filter you'd need or what sort you have there, but an FP3 filter will definitely significantly reduce your chances of breathing in infected aerosols.
Most people dont realise with a dog or wolf or coyote attack get ur hand down their throat. U might have scratches on ur arm but no chunks of flesh taken off.
We moved to Eastern Arizona a few years ago. The whole family loves to hike and climb so we spend a lot of time in the woods. We've seen tracks of mountain lion, bear, coyote, feral hog/javelinas, and more. But when it comes to ACTUAL encounters it's almost always a dog. People really underestimate (at least I did) the numbers of stray and wild dogs in some parts of the US. I always carry AT LEAST a can of pepper spray/bear spray, and usually a revolver just in case. We've also taught the kids stay close to us and stand their ground if a wild animal or dog approaches. It's so natural to want to run, but of course that's the worst thing you can do with predators.
Welcome back. Kershaw knives are some great for their price but my bag contains my Siberian Yakut knife i forged imgur.com/gallery/BkAGDvb Getting better at this lol. Stopped making many knives though. This was my last. The knife is great for bush craft and survival. Light and sturdy. From a 1095 Nicholson file with oak handle. Making a leather sheath fit it as I watched this video

Also the masks are not in short supply but the filters are definitely selling out quick, at least the ones that haven't expired yet are.

I would absolutely put that knife in my collection or use it as my pocket knife
