Better listen to Amy, Dougo. I was the same way. I don’t need no water. I ended up in the hospital and now drink 40 - 60 ounces of water daily. Great video, Amy. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day.
I’ve had a bout with kidney stones twice. Thought I was going to die both times. It’s like a loaded semi trying to do a U turn inside a straw. My wife says I’m exaggerating, but it’s the same as a guy coming down with the flu. It should be against the law.
Amy, from one farm wife to another...I appreciate the loving banter between you and Doug. From one born again child of God I appreciate you being brave for our Lord! Thank you so much for encouraging me to continue to share the plan of salvation!
So I'm sitting on the edge of my couch cushion watching you two and I have a big smile on my face listening to you all squabble about drinking water. You guys are funny and I'm on Doug's side on this issue! Keep up the entertaining banter!
Drinking water is important in the winter. You can tell how many times you get up at night. . . . especially if you are a man and your prostate is enlarged. When I was younger, I slept through the night. Now I know that if I drink too much water, I get up to empty my bladder after 4 hours of sleep.
Thanks for the video Amy and Dougo. I drink a fair amount of for my body. Amen. Thanks for your discussion today. Blessings to you both. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Dougo, drink your water. My dad is 100, the only water he drinks is from his coffee which he drinks all day. He went to the ER yesterday and is now in the hospital for dehydration. You tell him Amy. Love watching you guys and also watch Chet's channel.
Dougo is absolutely right about the thrill of coyote hunting. When I’m out there and those coyotes are coming in howling my hair will stand up on my neck. And you can’t really tell how many are coming in at one time. But it can be a really expensive thrill. Have a blessed day
18:03 Not necessarily. Your water intake can vary depending on factors like temperature, activity level, and body needs during different seasons. Here’s a breakdown: Summer • Hot weather and increased physical activity typically lead to more sweating, so your body loses fluids faster. • It’s important to drink more water in the summer to stay hydrated and replenish lost fluids. Winter • While you may sweat less, cold weather can still dehydrate you. Heated indoor environments and wearing multiple layers can cause moisture loss through breathing and perspiration. • People often forget to hydrate as much in winter because they don’t feel as thirsty. However, staying properly hydrated is still essential. General Tips • Listen to Your Body: Drink water when you’re thirsty, and adjust based on your activity level and environment. • Monitor Hydration: Clear or pale yellow urine is a good indicator of proper hydration. • Supplement with Warm Fluids in Winter: Herbal teas, broths, or warm water with lemon can help maintain hydration.
Doug. You should send your camera you use for tile down the sewer line. I had a sewer main line restriction in my house and every time it would start to clog up it made the gurgling sound like your sink makes. The only reason we figured out what was wrong was by sending a camera down the line.
You have your camera system for checking the tile lines. You should use it to inspect your drain and vent pipes. Then you would have an idea if snaking will resolve the issue of if it requires waste pipe repairs. That is what eventually happened for my parents and their drain issues. Rotor rooting was no longer effective.
Howdy from Kansas. The down stairs bathroom drain. I got a thing (that is rubber from hardware store)hooks to a water hose then it expands into the pipe water flush blockage out. ❤
Bingo on Amy...in general but I loved your "Choices"! Sweet truth. Mercy. ❤ P.S. I am in Mesa, AZ now...silly offer "Stay here.!" (Serious but I understand). I am one of those "Snowbirders" they call us affectionately...from Montana...when it gets warm again, mercy. [Yes, boater cliché applies to RV'ers.] I adore your married 'life banter/ water...whatever the subject...looking in from the outside, blessed. All'ways!
I have to say Amy I am with Dougo on the water idea . I believe the reason that people get dehydrated in the winter is because there is not as much physical work during verses a hot summer day because you tend to want to stay hydrated everyday during the summer because it's so difficult to be able get yourself rehydrated on a hot day because it takes your body about a day to catch back up with a dehydrated body during the summer, it's seems like during the summer your body doesn't have reserves .
Just watched Chet’s video. For the apartment, I’d use a counterweight pulley system that opens the door from either side. Instead of it being a railing, it’d be a pony wall. The couch would be backed up to the pony wall.
Doug rent before you buy to ensure you want to have one. We have had a RV since we started in 1976. Our current RV is nice having our own bed. We use it as our base to do other things in the area. Please get an inspection on anything you would consider wanting. Doug and Amy we would be happy to share our RV experience for the past 49 years. We want you to be informed because there are dealers that are shady. I think you guys would enjoy traveling in an RV.
If you have a plumber that you trust I would recommend using them. They might find something that you never think about. I would rent a RV to try it out. It will be expensive but then you know. I am on my third one and enjoy it but my wife not so much anymore. I tow my pickup behind it so I have a vehicle when we stop.
"Oh My" Doctors have been telling me for years to drink a gallon of water a day. LOL I come nowhere close to that, and when I do, as Dougo said always going to the bathroom. On the other hand one of my doctors (now retired) would tell me, "your body in it's own way will tell you what you need". Again a very enjoyable video!!
likely somewhere in the system you have a accidental 'P-trap', and area where the 2" drain pipe travels down, along a wall and then up again - everything below the lower elbow becomes a 'siphon'. Likely something to do with the bath or shower where the 2" drain has to be near or below the basement floor. I drink 3 litres a day all year 'round - helps me express myself (through the medium of creative writing).
I have many friends with Mopar products and they ALL have heater core issues and electric modules that are quitting after a few years!!! Very sad that they aren’t making anything with pride and quality control anymore!! Buyers beware!!! As always thank you for sharing.
If you have gurgling in a drain line, your problem is that it is either not vented correctly or the vent is blocked soimewhere. Maybe a ird or some animal has vent blocked with something.
I remember Eric mentioned something about night vision scopes and stuff. It reminds me of how on UA-cam there is boar hunting in the south. Ik we have coyotes on our 40. Grandma gets woken up during the night. I need to lookup coyote hunting now.
My 1999 Ford Superduty had a problem with air and heating vents, turned out a rat had made a nest on top of the vacuum line and chewed through it. Once spliced works perfectly.
Dougo, I'm with you. My wife drinks 80oz of water every day plus a large cup of coffee and then wonders why she has to pee so much. I drink easily 2x as much water in the summer as I do in the winter.
On the topic of hydration; functional nutritionists have come up with a formula for adequate active adult daily hydration: 1/2 your body weight in ounces. For example, a person (male or female) who weighs 160 lbs should take in 80 ozs of hydration for a 24 hour period. This includes hydration from food as well. Proper hydration is also crucial for acceptable digestion. PS: Not all liquids are good hydrators, as even Chet would say!
I am like Dougo. I drink lots of Water in the Summer. As I Sweat it out. I also take in more Salt in Summer too. In Winter I drink less Water. All in all my Wife says I drink a lot of Water.
Back in the 70s we would get on a section and walk them out of the creeks and rivers. No cell, 4 wheelers or night vision just cold marching and a little Beer!
You sound like a married couple!😂. I think I’ve had that same water conversation with my wife; she drinks a LOT, I drink a little. I prefer milk or soda/pop. I’m not concerned about the door hinges, though; she just asks me to oil them from time to time.
Down here in Texas, the men in the oil field (in the heat of the summer) come home with salt on their clothes from sweating. Dougo is right, that come wintertime, you need to back off the water and salt.
I've is the same as a boat.I've owned several of both n it's alot of extra work n the value goes down every year.n heaven forever bid if any water leaks threw the roof.
Hey guys; Amy should use some moisturizing lotion if her skin is dry. It actually traps moisture in the skin to make it pliable. Drinking water is good for you and has no calories. Dougo has a memory like a steel trap minus the hinge. I love you two. You make life worth listening to. I wish I could be in the back seat joining in the conversation (so invigorating). God bless us every one!!
For the house drains.... remind Dougo that the farm has the new camera snake for the tile lines. Run that in the house lines, find the problem and then you're good for another 10 years. For the water topic, it's well documented that those with ADHD can forget to do things like, drink water, because they're focused on the 1,000 other things on their mind.... ask me how I know!
I think folks that are pre marriage should watch your videos… you guys could put on a class!! The world would be a better place with the way you guys communicate!! I pray to the lord I will find someone the way you guys have each other!!
I'm with doggo with the water drinking, I drink when I need to I don't wanna be running to the toilet to get rid of excess water my body doesn't need that's why you go to the toilet!
I would call the plumber. I'm retired but I did plumbing for a school district and a master plumber is worth the price they will do it and not tear things up
May I suggest you buy some drain cleaner and pour it down the drain and see if that clears the problem. I’ve done it a few times and it works for me. Some draino is more caustic than others and works better.
Motor homes are a second house that requires tires instead of a foundation, a diesel engine instead of property, and a generator instead of a power company. Let's not forget about property taxes, at least in Indiana you pay property taxes on motor homes.
Here is some statistics on how much water you should drink a day… hope this helps of course if it’s summer you should probably drink a bit more or if ya live in Florida when it’s warmer men 19 years and older women 19 years and older 13 cups, or 104 oz. 9 cups, or 72 OZ.
Douggo needs to remember Happy Wife=Happy Life. As my late Wife reminded me; Any Man who thinks he can win a discussion with a Woman is a fool. 🤷 My rule was to always respond with a Yes, Dear ❤ 😂 Repeated as often as necessary .
Dougo you need to drink at least 40 ounces a day. You may not think it makes a difference but it does need to keep things flushed out. I used to be the same way
I wonder if a bird or some other critter plugged your vent pipe. Water needs air behind it to drain properly. I would talk with your plumber to see if that could cause the gurgaling. Good Luck !
I thought you Americans invented the idea of not emptying your RV in winter, you just drove south! Snowbirds I think you call them! :P The best way to see if you are or aren't drinking enough liquid is the colour of your waste water, dark bad, light good. And keeping your kidneys working helps to keep them in good health and also prevent urinary tract infections. :)
Amount of water to drink. Your weight in lbs. Now change to ounces. Like 160 lbs = 160 ounces. One half of 160 = 80. Drink 80 ounces a day. You will be better.
Amy-“I won’t be riding with you in that one “
Dougo-“Are they open?”
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
This was one of the funniest videos! We laughed so hard at the water conversation! Classic :D
Better listen to Amy, Dougo. I was the same way. I don’t need no water. I ended up in the hospital and now drink 40 - 60 ounces of water daily. Great video, Amy. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day.
I’ve tried.
Kidney stones, no joke. He'll see.
@ this is my fear
Absolutely! Kidneys stones are bad news!
I dont know why but you guys are hilarious to watch. I look forward to your weekly videos. Much more entertaining than any TV shows!
Thank you! We’re glad you enjoy them.
Our sink drain used to gurgle, Berkner Plumbing from Ortonville installed a breather in the drain under the sink and that took care of the gurgling
A breather…hmm. Thanks
That's my girl. Get that last word in with that giant water bottle. Ha HA.
I try, I try.
Duggo you are a saint you put up with your beautiful lady's attitude very well.
So I'm sitting on the edge of my couch cushion watching you two and I have a big smile on my face listening to you all squabble about drinking water. You guys are funny and I'm on Doug's side on this issue! Keep up the entertaining banter!
I’m in 💯 percent agreement with DOUGO on everything he says 😂
Water or no water, that is the question. lots of fun with the Larson's on this Sunday afternoon. Hope you have a blessed week.

I love watching your videos as much as i love watching Larson farms and Amy your right about the water.

Amy, you have patience of a Saint….Dougo, your mind has to be in overdrive 24 hours a day…my husband and I love watching you guys!!!
My Wife and I always enjoy your videos!
Dougo totally agree with you on the water, winter I don't drink water summer is a different story
I totally am with Dougo on the water topic!!! I'm in construction business, drink lots of water in summer, and this time of year none!
Im with you Dougo!
It’s so interesting watching your videos. Thank You
God Bless
I'm dying laughing over the bathroom door.😂😂😂
Hello Amy and Doug ❤ from Canada awesome videos

I found I need water in the winter too.
as for a trap door idea, think like a tarp / combine hopper idea !!!
Sleep is so so important for a long life and good health.

😁 Enjoy your videos and I drink 1 to 2 gallons of water a day for health reasons never used to but it's keeping me going so I do it🤣
The water cup ending was about what i expected after that discussion.....lol

I always heard the second happiest day of your life was the day you bought a new boat. The happiest day was the day you sold it.
You two tickle me….😂😂 Come on down to Goodyear, Az..

That grand kid will keep you young.

Dougo, I'm with you. My wife drinks 80oz of water every day plus a large cup of coffee and then wonders why she has to pee so much. I drink easily 2x as much water in the summer as I do in the winter.
duggo how about using old scythe/ shovel old tools chains for the handrail to the accommodation upstairs
To fix a gurgling sink you just turn up the volume on the TV.
Nice vid! :)

Amy is correct to drink plenty if water and once again Dougo needs to listen to Amy.
Wild water is very good for you sweating or not sweating water is very good but some people just don't like a lot of water but some people do
I’m not sure Dougo would want to be away from the farm for a whole winter.
Down here in Texas, the men in the oil field (in the heat of the summer) come home with salt on their clothes from sweating. Dougo is right, that come wintertime, you need to back off the water and salt.

Coffee for the win.
drink all the water you can

A gallon a day is the way to go
Oh, Dougo started with a drive and then a truck dealership runby...back to normal for Amy and Dougo.
May I suggest you buy some drain cleaner and pour it down the drain and see if that clears the problem.
I’ve done it a few times and it works for me.
Some draino is more caustic than others and works better.
My Dad wouldn't drink water because he said that it would "rust" his stomach. LOL
That’s a good one.
You should read Dougo's Mother's Journal. I will bet there would be content for a lifetime 🤭
Install a stainless steel tank for the floor heat, but before you install it flush out the floor plumbing.
Motor homes are a second house that requires tires instead of a foundation, a diesel engine instead of property, and a generator instead of a power company. Let's not forget about property taxes, at least in Indiana you pay property taxes on motor homes.

Thanks!
I promise you Doug, you're dehydrated. If your urine is more yellow than light straw, your need more water.
Douggo needs to remember Happy Wife=Happy Life. As my late Wife reminded me; Any Man who thinks he can win a discussion with a Woman is a fool. 🤷 My rule was to always respond with a Yes, Dear ❤ 😂 Repeated as often as necessary .
Northern Chill !!
Boat means break out another thousand
Dougo you need to drink at least 40 ounces a day. You may not think it makes a difference but it does need to keep things flushed out. I used to be the same way
If Dougo drank more water, his eyes wouldn't be so dry. Less headaches, better health, etc.
I hear it's lots of work to replace.
I am also avoiding on my Dodge truck
I wonder if a bird or some other critter plugged your vent pipe. Water needs air behind it to drain properly. I would talk with your plumber to see if that could cause the gurgaling. Good Luck !
Them dad gum potatoe peels,
Split the cost with chet and buy one of the good roto rooter you will be glad you did it
The “Farm” could buy the roto-rooter.
Order a zilmet flat hydronic tank way better built . If you can’t find one I can get you one
I thought you Americans invented the idea of not emptying your RV in winter, you just drove south! Snowbirds I think you call them! :P
The best way to see if you are or aren't drinking enough liquid is the colour of your waste water, dark bad, light good. And keeping your kidneys working helps to keep them in good health and also prevent urinary tract infections. :)

Hey Doug what does your doctor say about drinking water?
