I'm one of the few -- like you -- who still highly appreciates the old classic era cars with fenders and running boards. When I would go to 1:1 antique car shows like in Hershey Pennsylvania years ago, I started out the day walking around in the old car area and ran out of time before I'd get to the area where the latest model year cars they allowed in were parked. Wish AMT and Revell would release more old iron, but obviously they cater to what sells more today. My favorite in this batch of yours though is the Edsel. Love the color combination. I recently bought that kit at a model show/swap meet. Would like to find the Revell 1948 Ford kit. Already have the Gangbusters.
I hate to hear you will no longer be a distributor of Pro Tech products, but that is ok, things happen. You should look into being a distributor of Morgan Automotive Detail products. They make some really nice stuff. I love their pre-wired distributors, and ACCEL super coils. Maybe look at Model Car Garage and Replicas and Miniatures stuff as well. Both companies make great stuff. Nice to look at some of your older builds. Sometimes you just need to take some builds down from the shelf and look at them. Thanks for sharing.
To my eyes, the sideview of the 58 Edsel looks too much like a 58 Chevy. Edsels were said to have some quality and reliability issues too. I kind of like the 60 Edsel, with the more standard front end, having got rid of the "Toilet Seat" grill. 😊
1960 was a very little disguised Ford Galaxie. The Edsel model only lasted one or two months, then the brand was discontinued. You may be talking about the 1959 version, which had a full-width grille.
I think your finished models are very clean and sharp! Very nice! As for the pro tech stuff , maybe look in to doing some different accessory / diorama pieces .
The Ford-based Edsel engines were yellow with cream valve covers and air cleaner assemblies. The Mercury-based Edsel engines were black with white or argent valve covers and air cleaners. The '41 Ford Woodie has the optional 2-speed differential in the rear axle. It was an early attempt at overdrive. I have started building the coupe version (Testor's) of the 1948 Ford. I bought the model more than 30 years ago. The black Corvette is a 1958. The 1962 Buick is an Electra 225. The Mercedes is a 300 SL Roadster. I enjoy your videos very much!

The Revell/Monogram 48 convertible, and the 40 Standard coup have the Colombia Overdrive decal on the sheet. That and I have membership in the Early Ford V-8 club. And some member's cars have Colombia overdrives on the rear axle. If I can afford to get one, I would probably put one on my '41 Tudor Sedan project car.
So sad to hear about the Pro-Tech venture going away Matthew. So will your daughter be able to file for unemployment? Well I hope it all works out and you know what they say,?

Are you starting to print the MOPAR rally wheels. 😊

My dad had a few Buick's, 65 Wildcat, 69, 72 and 76 Buick Electra 225's. All were cool cars. You did a great job on them Always learning from you and the group.

It's always nice to look at your display case or even model kit boxes and remember where you were and what you were doing when you bought them and built them. My Edsel is painted in that same blue and white but my interior is in three different shades of blue. The '55 Chevy - which I think looks great and I remember when you did that build and it had come in a box that was damaged - is a Monogram from the mid-'90s in the same series as the '59 Impalas and the '59 Cadillacs.
Sweet looking shelf cars, attention to details especially interiors (two tone seats) and again the chrome trim work looks a bitch to accomplish with the body paint finishes. MCW paints look very nice as well (willow green)! IMC 48 ford, yea never built that kit but the Ford GTs, J car, and Chaparrals were kits with every door and hoods,bonnets and other items that open and close i did build way back when, yes they were tuff fits. Sorry to hear about your Pro Tech news. All are nice builds! The corvette is a '58. It's the only c1 that had faux hood louvers and the 2 trunk fins.

What do you do when finger glue gets in chrome work? My big fat 65 yr old fingers don't quite work correctly.
