Paleoclinē trust me, there’s A LOT of people who hate Ann and they can be more vocal than people who actually love her. Also, anything being considered “underrated” doesn’t mean they’re the definitive best. I only say she’s underrated compared to the popular ones like Makoto and Futaba considering how much they outshine girls like her and Haru. I just find Ann more appealing and interesting in terms of character. The term “Best Girl” is subjective anyway since they all shine in their own way.
I will say Ann is so an underrated waifu only and uniquely cause Morgana simps for her. It really throws you off when the girl you like it's the love interest of your damn cat.
For me, it was because while all the other girls required you to have certain conditions met before trying to date them (ex. Makoto not dating someone who isn’t smart enough), Ann likes you as you are,
