A wonderful story and I almost felt sorry for Asanga. However, it took him only 12 years to learn true compassion which is something some of us will never learn in a lifetime. So must be a great guy 👌
This reminds me of the story of the man trapped on the roof of his home as flood waters continued to rise. He prayed to God for help intensely when someone in a boat interrupted his deep prayer offering him help but he declined. I am waiting for God to save me. So the man continued on his way and the man trapped on his roof continued to pray for God to help him as the water continued to rise higher and higher. As he prayed a second boat came offering help but he declined, then another. Finally the water had gotten all the way to to peak when the man cried out to God. Why have you forsaken me? Why have you not helped me. When suddenly God said to him "What do you mean? I sent you three boats". God helps, teaches and guides us through people, circumstances and events.
Mr Long said he saw a animated cartoon, Where Santa claus gives a boy, a strange shell, that whenever you put your ear to it, you hear a strange sound of ringing!, the boy loved his Christmas Gift, he showed the Shell to his father and Mother and both said " I don't know what your talking about?, theirs absolutely no sound in this shell!" The Boy said YES their is!, Santa Claus said so!, he can here it to!, the boy grew Older, and saw that same Shell in his draw, he put his ears to it feeling Frustrated, There no longer was a Sound!, mr Long is now a Ethicist who stopped going to Church

Yes , but it's not necessary either. The greater our all-encompassing LOVE, the more can "God" use us as his instrument to bring about GOOD in this world.. But only for our own "salvation", a purified heart and mind, full of love for all, is enough.. It's not needed that we do such extreme feats of compassion

And the great Buddha, At the time of leaving, on desciples request, as a great compassion, and to preserve all he his knowings, he left his energy body within the Earth's electromagnetic field for humanity to benefit. But it has a life of around 2500 years or 4000 years.

This I learnt in my middle school. We were taught all the Great spiritual master of Buddhism from Buddha to great adept like Nagarjuna, Asanga Dharma Kirti etc of Vikramshila and Nalanda Mahavihara aka University. .
I also want to be take breath where nobody would be there and only me with this wonderful Nature and there would sing a calm pianos and I would take a time to analyse what I have to do or did I do something wrong or doing wrong..
