Same. This will be my first year marching with Northridge, but my brother D.J. played Trombone last year for field show. I have regrets for not marching last year. Lol. but its okay haha
3:58-4:18 Legit one of the best sounding powerful moments i've probably ever heard from a GPG show, and I'm quite angry my high school never played this. I didn't discover it until I was a member of the Pride of West Virginia.
I'm so excited for our first competition of this season. We're playing this show and it's much better than any show we've had in the past. I have a feeling we'll do much better this year in terms of placing and overall musicality. All thanks to Gary P. Gilroy Publications!
Surprised to see that bands are performing Western themed shows, seems like a theme for DCI, specifically the Troopers, who performed "Western Side Story" in 2009, however with Bernstein's West Side Story as the focal point. Doesn't seem innovative nor aesthetically pleasing. Best of luck
I'll admit the closer is cool, especially the mello runs. wrote the comment mid recording. Don't like the trombone "one little, two indians" snip, nor the fall gliss.
This show is so fire🤓
