      Yea this has always been an absurd take by people from the comfort of places like the US that have never had to deal with the reality of turning a state on the brink of failure into a functional one (potentially losing the revolutionary war/War of 1812 and going back to being a protected British subject isn't remotely as bad as Haiti). The DR had to endure more or less everything Haiti did for centuries (not just at the hands of their Spanish overlords but Haiti/their French ones as well) and only managed to improve things there the last few decades... through their own hard work with little/no outside help.
      Now that one of the only third world countries in history has turned itself into a stable, functioning "middle of the pack" country everyone thinks it's their job to just take on the burden of Haiti's problems; if the richest countries on earth can't fix Haiti, what are the odds the DR could fix it compared to the odds it reverts all the progress the DR as well? Open door migration policies in recent years have had horrific consequences on Europe (ask a Swedish person about this) and now the burden of supporting countless refugees is revealing it's insane weight in the US.
      People ought to be blaming those that caused the crisis in Haiti, like France forcing Haiti to pay ~$20 billion for daring to rebel their way out of slavery.

    • @ZombiePepperoni
      @ZombiePepperoni 2 місяці тому +1

      @brianhum8765 2 місяці тому +3

      @@ZombiePepperoni Yep and their "soft approach" policies towards fixing it hasn't remotely fixed the problem. And if the most powerful country on earth can't do that, anyone expecting the DR to be capable of fixing one of the most failed states in the world is crazy.

    Okay...math problem with the Haiti issue. Kenya was expecting 2500 men and are operating with 400. The UN expected it to cost 600 million and a little over 300 million has been raised. The operation has 400 men and 300 million dollars ...but...they're running out of money? Of course, war is expensive, but it they can't operate with the 300 million dollars they received and less than a sixth of men they were expecting, how the hell are they going to operate with 2500 men? I hope someone is tracking every penny of the money for this operation.

I note that some media outlets are not having their logos and such blurred, so I suspect this is more to avoid copyright claiming than a dastardly attempt to hide sources, but it'd be nice to know where they're coming from all the same, as some media outlets are a tad more sensationalist than others.
    Also, if anyone with the power to do anything about it is reading this, you may want to proofread your title. The phrase you're looking for is "Haiti Crisis Deepens." (And if you're reading this and say "but that's what it says" then...yay, they fixed it.)

    The last story is an outline of a major backfired plan. It is good to see a lot of the countries have come to realize that the Iran/Hamas/Hez plan is not worth it, and might not even support the idea as a whole. They can still "sit back" and, like stated, let the US and Israel use their airspace and bases to fight the good fight...Great video as always!

    I've been to Haiti multiple times and the price of food has always been too high for the locals to afford. Prior to the current conflict these high prices were due to external groups being willing to purchase food at essentially US prices. Rather than having separate prices for foreigners and locals, the vendors simply chose to sell all of their goods at the inflated price.

    In Haiti, obviously the current gangs need to be delt with. But that won't solve the problem long term. We will just end up back here again in a few years if nothing else is done.
    If we want a long term solution, we need to address the problems that caused the gangs to rise up in the first place. Big ones being poverty and inequity. The vast majority of people don't turn to crime because they want to. It is a lack of other options. If that isn't addressed, nothing will really change.

    Let me get this straight the Sukhoi S-70 is a stealth drone yet it gives of enough heat for a Infrared homing missile can get a lock-on and hit it.
    I'm confused, I thought that stealth ment that it could'nt be detected let alone have a missile hit it.

    • @hkl2007
      @hkl2007 2 місяці тому

      Stealth capability does not mean being impervious to heat seeking missiles, it means that it's not detectable by most radar and other intelligence measures, making them very hard to combat with ground weapons as they are too far up to reach with heat seeking weapons.

    One thing you always want to avoid in a stealth aircraft is anything shaped round, or like a cylinder. Which is why engines are always buried deep inside the aircraft. Except it's not on the Okhotnik. This is among the most basic concepts in stealth. The Russians know this and yet the tail out their engine sticks out. Weird.
