In Texas a lot of people use old cardboard as a weed barrier. I love the rock, it looks great

Just a suggestion. If you decide to lay more rocks down (looks great by the way), you may want to put down at least one layer of weed barrier. This will help with weeds and grass also keep your rocks from sinking into the ground.
I have a ton of crabgrass where I live so we tripled the barrier under our stone. You could also stain or dye the concrete to match the rocks.
I love your ideas for a potted garden!! just a tip for those who live in rainy areas like you do - make sure all the pots you use have plenty of drainage holes in the bottom (or drill some yourself) because if they don’t, the plants will sit in water and rot. And it’s no fun to have to dump that stinky water after every big rain! I learnt this the hard way 😂
The yard is looking good with the rocks and plants and seating area. It all takes time to do all the projects we want to do. Sometimes I wish I could snap my fingers and it all be done. ❤😊

Hi Karrie... I love your idea of a potted garden. It would look beautiful. We have stones as well, but what my husband did was put this glue down over them so they won't move. It's great, especially when you have dogs. Your backyard is shaping up ❤❤❤

I absolutely love the rock look it is so beautiful. Nox has really gotten big. I can't get over how his bark sounds such like a little puppy, but he's a big boy. 🥰🥰🥰
Love the little plant area! We did raised beds in each corner for the front of our house. And a fairy ish corner garden in the back yard. We love it. It’s cleaner than planting them in the ground
Pots are great for busy people! One thing that will help with weeds is a very good edging. Metal landscape edging, stone (sometimes Market place you can find free or very cheap stone) or heavy plastic edging. Our beds are 6 years old and very little weeding. Also rock needs to be added to every few years as it sinks. We found pea gravel is great to fill in. This FYI. Love what you're doing 😊

My husband uses chlorine to kill the weeds where we have rocks, kills all the weeds. The back area looks really good ❤. I loved your choice in music 🎼
You and your husband put me in mind of me and my husband, we go and do everything ourselves instead of getting professionals to do it and there are times where we have to keep redoing something before getting it right. Plus we also have times where we both have opinions on how to do something and we don't want to listen to the other person until the way we did it doesn't work.
He is so cute, has a little squeak toy bark for such a huge dog. So funny. Love the black lab she looks like a sweetheart. Of course I love Zoey, because of Zoey I got my two dog pound dogs after my two dogs passed away. Love the yard is looking good. I am going to Lowes tomorrow hope they still have stuff left. Peace!

Karrie, just a suggestion, why not add brick lock border around the rocks to confine the space in a swirl pattern? Are you able to duplicate same style to rt of patio?😊

With all the rain you get in Florida I highly suggest you put heavy duty weed barrier down before rock. The pounding rain & foot traffic will send the rock deep into the soil over time.

Rocks and gravel are expensive. They would bring the truck full and start up past our house. And bring I’d own to the end of the driveway, We used to have gravel on our driveway. The first year it was around $300. A couple years later my husband called and it had gone up a lot. We now have slate. Our driveway is a steep hill. So when it storms or rains hard half the driveway would go down with the water. It’s a good thing you are doing all this when you are young. And a husband that will do things for you. My husband came in our bedroom, I was going to turn the mattress around. But he did it for me. Then I put all the new bedding, mattress pad, and the bamboo mattress topper. I hope it feels good when I go to bed. I like your new chair. It made the patio. And all the pretty plants.

Get a thing of yellow rice mix, add in the sausage and the field peas and snaps and let it cook and it's soooo good!!! Very easy meal idea. Loving your videos girl. I've been a subscriber since you lived in your single wide. You've come so far ❤

Karrie everything looks great as far as the fence sometimes the post settles in the ground so it makes it a little off not the same measurements I've done that twice not putting the gate up and putting the fence up.✌😎

You should consider getting a Meyers lemon and plant it in a pot, also add a few dwarf fruit trees when you get around to the landscaping
I was going to mention the same thing ! After all she does live in Florida and can grow lemons, limes, oranges and other things that only grow in the warmer and tropical climate.
We have been putting down cardboard & putting mulch on top. It's a long process but worth it.
It would look nice if you edged out a defined outline where the grass stops & the rocks begin. Like a curvy shape or something & have a little lip of some type to help keep the rocks in their spot. But maybe edge it out first - so you have your outline & then fill it with the rocks & go from there...

Beautiful! Love your potted plants, but watch the mums with the fur babies. Mums are toxic to dogs. Your patio is so pretty. I really like the curved edge of it.

The rocks are super smart
On Dorset doorstop her husband made her awesome wood boxes for her flower bed. You could easily make one for your rocked area. Check hers out. It was a couple months ago.
