Madden 24 Player Progression Guide - How to Develop Stars at ANY Position
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 лип 2024
- I put this video together to show how in Madden 24 you can develop players effectively at any position in the game. A lot goes into how players develop and gain experience. Certain stats are more beneficial than others. Players earn milestones throughout the season. And player age has a LOT to do with how much success you can have with any player. I hope this video gives you a few takeaways that you can apply to your strategies inside Franchise Mode.
I'll be bringing more Madden 24 content to the channel including my own Franchise down the road when I'm ready to start a new project. - Ігри
We can't even set our Special Teams without knowing the Davinci Code of where to place them on the depth chart for them to show up, we haven't been able to mess with that since like Madden 2006
I use formation subs for that but you can’t even use WRs at gunners
@@nevaehgoncalves7536 there used to be a screen where we could do formation subs with the formation showing just like NCAA 14 as opposed to always having to do it on the fly. Idky they got rid of that ability to put whoever we wanted on special teams, I hate having starters on special teams.
@@StateoftheFranchiseSportsyou can’t do regular formation subs in Madden anymore?
@@FifaPRg yeah you can move guys in game but I'm talking about special teams, @mrhurricane shows the specific depth chart spots in which players need to be placed in order to have the players not be offensive or defensive staters. Back in PS2 era Maddens and some of PS3 you had dedicated formation subs screen for special teams sets like kickoff coverage, return coverages, field goal, etc. I'd hate to have a slot WR in as a gunner on punt sets get injured and that throw the offense out of whack.
3rd n forth corn
This is incredible stuff. I always had a hunch the XP bar correlated with a players development if they were hidden. I specifically remember in your Bucs franchise Jesse Reyes had a super small XP bar and eventually had superstar dev, compared to someone like Angel Copeland who had 1.5-2x the XP in his bar and was star dev. Great analysis on this stuff. Wish more guys went as in depth as you did on this!
im 7 months late😭💀
I trust cane with any franchise advice so I’m glad he dropped a video like this
I swear bro In cane we trust
Don’t trust him when it comes to reading pass coverage though lol
Thanks for the good content Cane, hope to see the 24 rebuild soon
I really appreciate the special teams info because I never understood why I had starters getting hurt on kickoffs and punts. Great info👍🏾
This is great information. excited to see what team you end up choosing for your new series.
I am itching for a new Hurricane franchise series, i have been absolutely binging your old Chargers franchise!
Thanks so much for all the work/time you put into this! I had Progressive Fatigue On & my backup RB, TE & WR’s played throughout most of the playoffs. smh
Best franchise UA-camr! Love the detail you put into every rebuild! Can’t wait for the madden 24 franchise rebuild to drop! 🙌🏽
Thanks cane for always having great content!❤
Thanks for taking the time to break all this down was really insightful
We love you cane and everything you do! Can’t wait to see what franchise team you pick and what long term rebuild team you do as well and the journey you’ll take us on with both series
I just watching a video like this even though I will probably never own madden. Really like seeing the nitty gritty of the game.
This is the ultimate guide. Keep them coming!
Nice change of pace. Any cane video is a good video.
The amount of work that went into this short video is truly impressive
Wow fantastic video Cane!! Great info!!
Thanks for the amazing content!
Bruh great video and I learned a lot appreciate the time it took to do this
Theres also a weird mechanic the last couple years where you could level up corners and LB's with slot/field general that can more often than not get two levels of overall. Which in turn would lead to better chances of performing better, leveling faster, etc.
Also can work with hybrid for safety. Im guessing there too much overlapping skills.
There's another setting somewhere that says "manage practice reps" or something to that effect. That makes me think that you can turn progressive fatigue off, but still determine whether you want each position to focus on starters, backups, or balanced.
Great work Cane! My theory... players get 1-2 xp per juke, spin, truck, stiffy, break tackle. Thats why theres a range and not an exact for the rushing yds. And I believe your the man to test that out.
Fantastic video!
Great video…learned a lot
Ive had players increase their dev traits by winning player of the week awards. Rhamondre Stevenson had a 200 yard game with multiple TDs and went from star to superstar without a breakout scenario
Yeah, I had that happen to my backup QB
@@adriangarza6452 I wish that happend with justin fields for me lol
This is great info as always cane. The only hurricane we can trust in this world
This was suuuuch a GREAT and in depth video. I hate that I’m just now finding it. 😢 But another note, is for some reason EA never fixed the proper tracking for pass deflections.😫😫
Patiently, waiting for the madden 24 franchise!!
Rock solid video bro. Especially with breaking down exp gains for stats in game
Do you know if the entire defense benefits from a safety or just the player who gets the tackle.
Knowing how they keep stats I’m sure it’s just the one player but just curious
you very occasionally get dev increases for gold medals in training mini games, too. Also, even if you have low 60s rookie linemen on the bench for games, make them starters for weekly training, then switch back. And most important: if you have a scenario, do everything you can to hit it in game!!!!! That can be 10K, 20K or more for the player!
Great video
when he came in with the special teams depth charts i said oh shoot that's worth a comment 👍
might make a spreadsheet for this
Ive found a work around for progressive fatigue. Turn it on during your training and your game but before you sim to next week turn it back off. It wont mess with the cpu teams like year long. It wont really per say mess with your team year long either. I do usually just turn it off yes and put fatigue to 68. But just saying if you want a touch of extra fatigue in game for your players. But if you turn it on id put the fatigue slider back to 50. But off with 68 fatigue seems to be the most realistic
What an awesome video man! Keep on grinding!!!
Incredible. Want to hire this guy as a data analyst lol
I wonder if the yards progression ranges is exponential. The more to more yards the more a yard is worth?
Does turning off progressive fatigue get rid of them leaving the game during the playoffs bc that was horrible! All my stars were out and i can barely win the game with my back ups
If there is one area where I trust Cane the most, it is finding the best ways to build and grow a team in franchise. Now, not throwing critical interceptions, I get that information elsewhere 😂
This was a hell of a research paper
I liked and subbed . Please answer this question, why do I have 118 skill points and I can’t spend but a few @ a time ?
How is the development regression trait this year? Last year they would jus lose a Trait for no reason. Also weekly strategy is bugged because u can't start training.
Haven't owned a Madden since 25. I have a PC. Is this years Madden worth buying if I'm nearly 10 years behind? I only play franchise mode.
How do you deal with progression fatigue?? The commish in my league has progression fatigue on.
Ima need you to come up with some SLIDERS whenever you start your Franchise Mode.
Is there an easier way to find star dev traits rather going to free agent clicking through every player player card?
Maybe I missed it but does he say how much faster a normal/star/SS/Xfactor develop?
Do you know why my xfactor Qb is an xfactor but in the game and practice he’s a SS! He doesn’t have the X under his him, only the SS!
where’s the franchise cane? I’m dying waiting for it❤
29:25 this is huge information
Can you do well with a normal player and then they become a star player and eventually superstar?
Maybe I'm nitpicking. But why aren't there any XP gains for blocking FGs or making blocks on players down field
What about mentors? Who and how much do they help develop xp?
How do interceptions or fumble negatively affect XP?
Can you create a player and sign him to a team in franchise and change his development to hidden?
Are you going to do a franchise like the Vikings from last year
I have a question:
Is there anyway you (or anybody) can discover the EXP influences that “QB of the future” “Day 1 starter” “Mentor” and all those other traits deliver?
I agree that all DL/LB should be age 30 so people won’t try to cheat with MLB in comparison to OLB. By the way, the OLB should actually be FLEX but of course other people have already mentioned that already.
27 for HB! 😂
I feel that positions like OL, Defense and K/P could use more ways to obtain EXP.
I would’ve said K and P are still too low but Pat McAfee retired at 29 so I guess it really isn’t that bad.
Does QB Regression still hit young players and award winners?
Cane what XP sliders do you recommend?
You can also get development trait upgrades from getting gold in the mini games
What about oline they need to add something to be able to develop linemen faster then don't get boast for good blocking all you can do is put them on the upgrade things and maybe you get a couple upgrades a year but you'll never get them up to the 90s unless there already a higher 80 overall
What does a players personality do?
Do we have sliders yet? (assuming no)
when is the 24 franchise starting i need it man
EA could make some really easy changes here that would be dope
The rb will also get the extra 20xp for the catch on a td rec
How do you stop the game from taking starters out
For me it just seems like playing young players who are a few overall worse just makes sense. I wish madden did a better job of using subs when you sim cause I will have players who are the backup and will never get a snap cause the game doesn’t get that players rotate into the game.
Easy way to get staff points and unlock after school training is fire and hire a offensive and defensive coordinator. It will give you 120-140 sf points
Professor Hurricane!
I started a Colts franchise and now I understand why Anthony Richardson is upgrading so fast. Those rushing yard and rushing touchdown XP gains are wild!
Hasn’t that always been the case tho? Hasn’t mobile QBs always developed faster than the pure pocket passers if you know how to use them
@@sullyproductions5757Well go easy on'em. Probably a virgin who bought into the new Homo-Sapien Technology hype.
Honestly really good point well about special teams plays. Especially kick offs.
One of the reasons I’m able to develop my linebackers and corners so we’ll is because I have them get extra tackles and forced for fumbles on kickoffs.
Each game it may not be significant but over the course of the season it adds up.
Over the years I’ve seen it he simulation typically give our more tackles than what you can realistically get in game so it pays to get those extra tackles.
And more so then just exp you put yourself in the position to get breakout scenarios and win rookie of the year awards.
If you can’t complete in overall tackles you have to compensate for that by having higher impact outcomes like force fumbles. Tds on special teams etc.
And again much easier to get breakout scenarios if you steal an extra force fumble in addition to a a few sacks or tfl.
Just put your highest level prospects at backup lb and cb and kick the ball to the left. If your kicker has a big leg then kick it higher or with less juice
And finally. If you’re developing a young player with a hidden dev trait don’t be so eager to reveal his trait. Get the 300 free snaps in training camp because it also gives you a ton of exp and a free upgrade. But imo the free snaps is a bad thing.
The truth is you’re only really profiting if the guy has an X factor trait which is really rare. Unless he’s a top 10 pick he’s usually not rolling the dice on reveal his trait.
Why.
Because hidden dev develop at a superstar rate. Anyways. Why reveal the trait and risk it being a star dev and now you’re developing slower. Again you’re only profiting on the exp bar if it’s w X factor trait.
Also most rookies are so low in overall that it doesn’t even matter if he does end up being a superstar because you’re not getting impactful abilities yet anyways. And you’re probably only getting one ability at most.
So in general just let the trait reveal itself naturally. Take the training camp bonus and let him benefit from the hidden dev progress at w superstar rate.
There are other ways to know if he’s a superstar without you revealing it. Such as you’ll get an ability upgrade trigger if you hit 75 overall or 80.
Trust me. I’ve made the mistake myself.
The only time I’ve ever done it was to confirm who I should develop because I only had one spot on my defense and 2 prospects. And even then I admit I should have just picked one to play and just let the other get the passive superstar boost from hidden dev. Sometimes you’re eagerness of knowing whose a star vs a superstar/x factor is bad.
I also did it because I drafted a really high end player top 5 and I wanted to know for sure if he was worth developing vs paying a lot to a guy who was already a superstar. Again would have been better to just develop him at a superstar hidden dev rate and trade him at the end of the season if he wasn’t a superstar. Then pay the other guy.
@DrRobGilles should I stick my rookie re on the special team to get more exp ???
Do mentors stacks?
I’d like to see a tweak someday where age matters for regression, relatively no issue there, but years as a pro matters way more for progression. I’m tired of having to avoid these really talented 23 year olds in the draft purely because I know for most positions they’ll start regressing right after their rookie contract but they also can’t get enough XP to offset this where in real life the older players can often be more pro ready and extend their careers by not having the wear and tear of the pro game on them as fast. Either that or higher base overalls for some older draft picks to show their college development and day one readiness while knowing that they won’t fall off a cliff cause you could get them to an 88 overall before they hit the regression wall
Is this all with the progression and regression at the default levels?
Yes
waiting for your 24 rebuild
Dude, are you making a franchise for madden 24?
When’s the new series
FINALLY
Ea gotta start showing lineman some love
Love the vid can we get a spreadsheet
you have all the information my man, you can do that on your own or just come back to the video :)
RB regression is freaking insane…..
But it's also probably the most realistic part of this game.
Even with it set to manual, the cpu will still reorder your depth chart
I wasn't having much luck getting as much RB turnover as I wanted with regression sliders.
I'm going to be spending a lot more time on the XP sliders now that we have regression and age sliders. The biggest thing I think you have to do is get players to develop further at young ages. I'm thinking age sliders along with the right regression sliders are the key.
I may have missed it, but can normal players trigger breakouts into star, or superstar?
Yes, it’s possible to trigger a breakout scenario after a solid- stellar performance from that player.
@rickyrozay2780 say less. I've been hesitant to even train them if they didn't have hidden or star trait already.
So ur basing ur research off the basic regression sliders in madden 24?
Regression sliders weren't used for this video. No XP sliders of any kind.
The best thing I got from watching this was that when your rookies dev traits are hidden you need to go ball to the walls with their 500 snaps to get the most out of their development.
We’re talking puka nacua balls to the wall
The special teams chart is probably the most useful and most pointlessly difficult thing to manage.
Cane, Do the Chicago Bears and try to Build around Justin Fields with one of the lowest rated Teams in Madden
He did the Bears in Madden 18
So take your Rookie 20 Year Old WR, keep him as a WR but put him on Depth Chart as RB.
100 Yards Rushing is 375-600 XP. Each TD of any Offensive kind is 250. And he's at RB, you can still throw so 20 a Reception at his 1.53 to 1.93 per Receiving Yard.
Get 1700 on the Season with say 17 TD, just 100 Rushing and 1 Rushing TD a Game... 6375-10,200 for his Yards, 4,250 for his TDs. Let's say 40 Snaps a Game, so 80 XP X 17, 1,360 more there.
You've built up your Rookie WR, next Season Draft your RB and the kid goes and plays actual WR.
madden 24 franchise rebuild?
Player progression is always going to suck as long as you can lose star dev for not playing. If i find a 7th round DT that's a 64 overall with a star dev he's likely not good enough to play a lot with that rating and even with focus dev, so when the season ends he drops to normal for not playing starter snaps.
You can just turn Dev Regression off
@@05Kevvo yea but i want regression on but i don't want a late round find to lose star dev when he is doing what most real life late round pics do... play a little bit and mostly learn.
Pretty realistic, that way you don't have a stacked team like in yrs past, and level the playing field. I love 32 man franchises.
I’m assuming the progression/regression sliders were normal
Yes I didn't touch those in these tests
Yes yea yes that you came
So can I develop my guy from a star to a superstar? Or Superstar to X factor?
Cane over here playing with my roadrunners 😂😂
Time to develop Jalin Hyatt
Not in my Madden 24.
Stop teasing us!!!!! Who is your team?
