Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Mauricio Watson Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you very much! I have been asked to lead a worship/music team a number of times and I have been thinking of a ways to make our rehearsals more efficient and effective and also something that would build my team spiritually. This is very helpful!
I'm from Ukraine💙💛, and unfortunately my english is bad (yet), but I only want to say, I'm absolutely THANKFUL for your amazing job, for your videos... It is soo helpful to me, cause I had and also have a lot of questions about "my" worship leading, but I'm thankful to God for you and for I found these videos! May God bless you!🙌🏼🤍 And also if you are reading this, please PRAY FOR UKRAINE!!! We and our soldiers need it soo much! 😭🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🇺🇦📢
im grateful that i saw this video ❤️😇 im a beginner in leading worship❤️😇 and now i have some ideas and God will be with us to do this during rehearsals ❤️🇵🇭 thank you so much for sharing this🇵🇭❤️😇
thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together. I am beyond blessed and so grateful for it. Lord I ask that you bless this ministry above and beyond in Jesus name amen. thank you again :) awesome yet simple content.love your work
Our team takes at least 15 mins to set up all the tech and sound check…would you recommend the team arrives at 6.15 say and have that done first so it’s ready for run through? Also I find once everyone has all hooked up their gear they don’t want to get off stage then… (in ears all in and wires all connected) … it’s a hassle to then unplug and do check-in/devotional
Thanks for the information! Bless you for your willingness to share. Question: do you spend time on teaching separate parts/harmonizing, ie sopranos, alto parts? Or... Not?
New Subscriber! Hi, I just saw your Instagram post, thought I'd check out your video. I'm playing bass this Sunday! Our rehearsal went pretty long. 6:45-8:30pm seems a little long to me but I enjoy rehearsals, even if they are long. It was just a long day is all.
Glad you made it over here from Instagram! 2 hours does seem pretty long for a rehearsal. Our rehearsals are typically an hour and 15 and we run through 6 songs. But... that comes with the expectation that people are prepared and know their parts when they show up. It all depends on how long your team has been together (the majority of our team has been playing together for almost 10 years) and how comfortable they are with the music they're playing. QUICK TIP: Diffuse a little Eucalyptus oil during rehearsal and it makes things go twice as fast 😉
@@LeadingWorshipWell Well I'm all over the Eucalyptus diffusion!!!! Yeah, when I used to be the leader our rehearsal was 1hr 15 minutes. There have been a lot of changes recently, perhaps things will get more solid soon.
Hi there! Good content. Thanks. Question: how do you deal with set up / tear down time? And I assume your sound gal/guy are also at rehearsal? Interested in your thoughts ...
Hey Duncan! We don't have set up/tear down time. Everything at our church stays set up so musicians just have to come and plug in. If people need to set up instruments/gear that's to be done before our 6:30pm starting time. Currently we don't have our sound people show up at our rehearsals on Thursday but they are there for the run through Sunday morning. As our team continues to grow, we'll likely have sound people be at our rehearsal during the week.
Ha. Your approach to the “run through” assumes that all your people are actually capable of playing the songs. In 3 decades of being a church musician, that’s been the biggest problem by far: gross incompetence and/or lack of preparation. We can’t just run through the songs, we have to learn them. Frequently we have to actually explain to a member of the team how to play their part. It can take a lot of time.

The added video was good, except no live examples. Let's actually watch your rehearsal to check it out.
