I don’t know why I waited so long to subscribe to your channel because I’m always recommend it. When I went to watch the movie Dune, I was talking about you and your channel with someone while we were waiting on line to buy pop corn. The guy just subscribed to your channel at that moment ☺️But today was the day🤗I also officially in the The Broken Biding subscription waiting list 👌What I like about your channel besides the great book recommendations and book reviews, is how respectful, positive person you are, always supporting new authors and other UA-camrs♥️👌👏👏👏👏
This is random, but just wanted to thank you for shedding light on the Sun Eater series, which I now consider to be the greatest sci fi series of all time!! To anyone who sees this… Please do yourself the service of reading this series!
I've been wanting to start the Drizzt series for a long, long time. The only books I've read of RA Salvatore are his SW novels. I don't hear much about him on booktube, so I appreciate you bringing him up every once in a while. It reminds me that I'm neglecting this aspect of my TBR!
The Vanished Birds is a beautiful book, Mike. I'm not too sure whether you'll like it, but fingers crossed! I think you will enjoy The Silverblood Promise, though. It's a good old fun! :)
I just got Silverblood Promise in the mail today after pre ordering it on Amazon back in January. I'd definitely ruin my TBR if you decide to read it too!
I have to say, Mike - I really do like your book haul videos and how you structure them in to the different categories. Book haul videos can be pretty tiresome and stale, but yours always seem to be interesting and fresh
I finally started Swan Song! I've read along with Mike and his community on most of the reads but unfortunately missed out on this one. This is the most excited I've been for a book in awhile. Scored vanished birds on Libby and I ordered Silverblood Promise from Broken Binding so I'm pretty stoked about that. I'm a Broken Binding subscriber because Mike put me on to them and boy it is sooooo worth it. I was on the waitlist for over 6 months but time flies so get your name on that list!
Great haul Mike! Really gotta check out Suneater....hopefully next year! You & others I trust say so many good things! Thanks for putting my book in your haul, & for the kind words! Yup, my secret goal is to finish the series (3 more books to publish), so if you do decide to read it, by the time you are ready, I'll be all done! Hope you enjoy your future reads!
I finally made it onto the Broken Binding sub and The Lies of Locke Lamora just arrived today as my first sub book. It is so beautiful. Never Die and A Time of Dragons also arrived today. Took a bit longer since they had to solve their issues with sending to the EU first. I have ordered The Silverblood Promise from them as well and will likely read it very soon after it gets here.
Hey Mike. Those books look incredible. I also wanted to let you know, that I have just started listening to the audiobook version of Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. So far, I am intrigued. I want to know what is going on. I'm sorry that I am so late to the party. I hope that you will not mind if I send you updates and a review later. I'm also working on another Star Wars book too. That's going to be either Star Wars Shadow of the Sith by Adam Christopher or Master and Apprentice by Claudia Gray, or Star Wars Tarkin by James Luceno.
I got the broken binding edition of the silver blood promise. Waiting for it to come in the mail once it gets here I will be reading it. Super excited to see what it’s about.
Me too. I think they're being shipped over the next few days. I pre-ordered solely based on the cover, but I've heard so much great stuff about it since.
Oh and For All Mankind -- great stuff by show runners Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, the team that also brought us Outlander! Ron loves science fiction and For All Mankind is a perfect fit for him!
I have only bought books on Kindle lately: The first novellas in the «Sun Eater» series (love the new cover for «Queen Amid Ashes»!) and the novella «Hengist» by Sean Poage. I have also inherited a copy of Dostoyevsky’s «The Brothers Karamasov», as well as Icelandic Sagas and books by Tarjei Vesaas. Cheers!
Hey, Mike! You're welcome for the mug, I love The Office... I wanted to get you The Sopranos mug, but Amazon told me it couldn't be delivered to a gift address...
Thank you so much for showing Tiloran, Mike! It means a lot. And yes, you did pronounce it correctly 😄 When/if you get around to it, I sincerely hope you enjoy it!
That blanket at the end of the video is amazing. I'm excited for you to read Demon War saga. I don't know anything about it. But hey, it might have horror elements, yes? A man can hope
I honestly love not having a set TBR. I've found that reading on impulse allows me to read things while im currently interested in them and affects my overall enjoyment of them. There have been plenty of times when I've come to a book on my TBR that I wanted to read but wasnt in the right mood. I stopped setting my TBR last year and havent looked back. Of course I still have like 1 book I'll read for a specific month; like I'm planning on reading The Terror this December, and Something Wicked This Way Comes in October. But the days of having like 4 or 5 books locked in for a month are done. PS: I also think publication order is the way to read! unless its the EU!
Please read thr silberblood promise and do a review :) i have to admit that i dont trust petriks reviews anymore (because of Illborn, im sorry) and i really like your taste in books :)
Let’s celebrate mood reading! Demon Wars is great, it’s not Dickens but it’s better than 99.675% of anything being published these days. I continue to enjoy your channel, keep it up.
Hi Bob (yes I’m another FAMK fan) Go for it and read the Silverblood Promise. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Do you know when you might do World Without End or have your plans changed too dramatically?
Mike, important announcement! 📣 They brought back the Trapper Keeper about 3 years ago and I picked up where I left off some odd 40 years ago? Best to be found at Walmart during ‘Back to School’ time. I have been there trying to decide which one to get, some kid comes up his parents and asks them what a Trapper Keeper is and my heart hurts a little bit. Of course I launched into the history of the Trapper Keeper, how awesome they are and the kid looked at his parents like, get me away from the crazy lady? 🤷🏼♀️ 😂 Then my 85 year old mother comes up, actually rolls her eyes 🙄, says, oh no, you don’t need another Trapper Keeper! I whine, but Mama, it is a new school year!! She says, you aren’t even in school! I say, I can pretend and actually pouted until she said yes. The kid and his parents looked at us like we were from another planet. I tell the kid, sometimes begging works. 🤷🏼♀️ 😂 👍🏻
People aren't talking about Larry's series because he's an awful human being. I am in your camp when it comes to separating art from artist but Larry's ramblings on social media and in interviews are offense at best and down right harmful at worst. I'd urge you to drop this series, and this is by and large the only time I'd say it about any author (including another extremely high profile author who is often in hot water about their opinions)
He’s not an awful human being, he just has opinions that you don’t like and he’s not a stereotypical woke Twitter user like a lot of authors these days are lol. You also don’t have to like someone or agree with them to enjoy their work.
@nightmarishcompositions4536 nothing to do with being woke or anti woke here at all. His opinions do differ from mine I won't try to deny that, but what makes this different is he is genuinely not a nice person, and his beliefs are extremely harmful.
@@Hazzer1011 Fair enough, I don’t really know much about the guy but from what I’ve heard he just has a bunch of anti-woke opinions that ruffle some feathers. I’m not woke or anti woke myself, I think both extremes are silly and ridiculous. I just usually don’t let the opinions of authors or other artists influence my ability to appreciate their work. Respect your opinion though, hope I didn’t come off as a jerk.
@nightmarishcompositions4536 no not at all, and frankly i'm in the same mindset as you! Both extremes are different sides of the same coin if that makes sense, but yeah he's the only author I've ever been a bit like "oooo no that's too much", and then I went down the rabbit hole and it got worse haha
Thank you so much for showing my book, Mike! Glad you liked the maps :)
Thanks again!
Looking forward to read your book😃

Good haulin' Mike, some nice additions to the shelves. I'm on the waiting list for BB sci fi output. 🚀🤖👽📚👌🎬👀
Loving this mood reading Mike era!
Yes break your TBR! It is a good thing!
I loved the Demon Wars Saga. 15 years later and I still think about it.
Thanks so much for showing Cruel Nature. Mike as always you continue to put out such worthwhile content and are just such a great human.
Happy to do it!
I have to say that's a beautiful blanket, and so thoughtful 😎

"The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan. Hell yeah!
At least there are 2 of us ha ha
Awesome haul, Mike. Im not one for sprayed edges, but that Broken Binding naked hardcover looked amazing. Happy reading.
I read Demon wars shortly after your interview and abolutely loved the first trilogy.
What a great blanket!

I’ve also been collecting P.L. Stuart’s series and want to get to them. Looks like a cool series.
Yeah, and he's just a great dude
I love your T-shirt and the cool throw blanket
Hi Mike I’m Glad You Like The Books That I Sent You Enjoy

I am going to be reading The Demon Awakens in June as well.

Kevin Sullivan and the Dungeon of Doom is a pretty deep pull. Impressed.

As far as I know it's just straight traditional fantasy.
I'm actually highly interested in the Demon Wars Saga. I wanna see what Salvatore's original world building is like
That has me intrigued, too. Not having to stick to someone elses rules.

Should start next week!
Love the content Mike 🖤
Miiiiike, do you enjoy any Vonnegut? If so, what’s your favorite?
I read Demon Wars when I was in middle and highschool. Had no idea the series went on.
Picked up that new demon wars novel from the library on the way home about 100 pages in I love that world.
I need one of those Steven King blankets
It's quite cozy!
Kevin Sullivan was the taskmaster in WCW.
Correct. The Dungeon of Doom was so campy bad and I loved it ha ha
Cruel Nature was on a different channel. I picked it up for my grandson. Similar to Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Cool illustrations too.
Break the TBR and go for it.
I say go for it with silverblood promise!
That's the plan!
Long live the Quilluminati! Or the Geezers . . . Who have already lived long. 😁
Not long enough!
There are actually 13 books set in the world of Corona, split among several different series. Have fun!
Salvatore doesn't seem to take the short road ever.
Please read thr silberblood promise and do a review :) i have to admit that i dont trust petriks reviews anymore (because of Illborn, im sorry) and i really like your taste in books :)
