This is so, so true. Many don't realize the severity of their predicament, relying on their self-righteous works. Fantastic preaching, Pastor! Thank you so much for posting this!
This rotten flesh and the pride of man can't be crucified without the Holy Spirit of God intervening. Praise GOD for His imputation of righteousness without which we could not be saved. Great message showing our total need of Him! Thank you brother.
@BRIAN PITTMAN Brian, we tend to view those verses not as referring to sanctification, but the believer's blessed position in Christ in that sin is no longer imputed to the believer. Hope this helps. Alleluia.
@turkwelsch The relevant verse seems to be James 2:21. Jas 2:21 KJV - Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Yep, that helps alot. But i wonder why God did not consider his faith in leaving his homeland for just a promise, could it be that the verse in Jas. isnt referring to the only time? Thanks for the info!@@ColumbusBibleChurch

Well said.
Thank you David.
Truly words of humble origin and modestly positioned. Out with Pride, in with Faith, and credence to be true.
Great teaching thank you Brother David! We hope your leg/hip/knee(?) gets better soon Bro! Lord bless you!

@Francis Peter Thanks much. We are on the mend. Alleluia.
Brother David, Romans 4:8 & Psalms 32:2, would this be the Sanctification that Paul mentions in other letters?

Didn’t Abraham prove his faith with his work whenever he departed from Haran?
