I'm all about The Costco Runs. Hope to see more around Thanksgiving and Christmas too. Wow, those Happy People moved there from Hawaii. Talk about a change in Weather
@Mejestique Williams that's awesome yes you both seem very kind, hope all goes well for you all. Somers family are such a blessed family, and explain things so well. And are such wonderful role models for their children as well as their followers.
Hi I'm from South Africa. Our town is about 200km from the Botswana and Namibian border. We don't have a Cosco or Walmart and for us everything is expensive. We shop at our local stores. A loaf of bread costs R12 and no name peanut butter R26.(the R stands for rand) The exchange rate is our price times 14. I you come to SA you are rich!! My town is in the driest parts of SA . Our winters are not long and also not very cold...never ever snow!! Your garden did very well!! Keep warm!! Love from SA.
I wish I could afford to stock up for my family like this. Everything you hear on the news says to prepare for bare shelves this winter. It would feel like such a relief to know you could get my for a couple of weeks anyway!
It was fun seeing Audrey coming home from ballet, and introducing her friend. She really seems to be enjoying it. Groceries are so high now. It’s almost unbelievable the prices they want.
you guys are helping young people understand how much it costs to have a family you have helped me understand budget and running a family thank you guys for doing your videos sending love from Liverpool UK I will do a video on my channel going to Cosco show the prices everything is over Here xx
We don't have a Costco where we live but we do have a Sam's Club that I frequently shop at. It is getting harder to find certain things and also they've started rationing toilet paper and paper towels again. Have a safe and fun weekend! Blessings!
It is so fun to watch random people come up to you and say they watch your channel😊 I have been to 48 states but I have high hopes to make it to Hawaii and Alaska someday and then I will come to North Pole and say Hi! 🍀
I love how honest your daughter is and admits she would get the big tub-o-cheeses. No limits on items in the stores we have been too. I have noticed the price of things are up a couple things have doubled in price.
The stores here just finally got caught up on cleaning n paper products but have no faith it will last. When we had all our kids at home I found doing a meal menu for the entire month and I shopped off that meal plan it cut our bill in half and the kids loved it. They helped make the menu and then would choose what they wanted for that night . Once the meal was selected you cross it off the menu. That way you always had the proper items to make the dinner and it was always a great way to get the kids involved in meal planning and prep.
We don't have a store like Cosco in Germany. But fruit and veg prices are going through the roof, paper product prices increased, but there is no limitation. The price for detergents doubled since last year. I love to see your grocery shopping videos and all the family adventures. God bless you.
Greetings from Slovakia, Europe! I love your videos, guys. I have been to many states of the US but Alaska seems to be really the most expensive one when it comes to grocery shopping. In Slovakia or most of the EU countries the price for what you bought today would be like half or even a little less. Keep on posting new videos! I hope I will visit this amazing place one time.
Holy cow, the prices are not much more than here in N.J.. That's how much we spend in a month but it's just me and hubby now that no kids live here anymore. It's like gasoline in that it changes when you look at other states. Keep warm and dry, much love and respect. God bless you and yours, peace.
I'm in Northern Illinois.. was at Costco on Friday..only limit we saw was on Papertowels and toliet paper. But may I make a suggestion...you buy bottled water..have uz looked into a Berkey..they are a bit pricey, but you use your tap water and the Berkey removes all nastiness out of it. Saves on buying bottle water. I've had mine for 3 years. Omg. Would not ever be without it. Many blessings to all of you 🙏
I'm in NJ, I work at a grocery store many items are out due to manufacture issues but no set limits on items but there 3 items many are having a hard time finding lunch ables hazelnut uncrustables and Capri Sun juice boxes and if you do find them no many are in stock. Right now our weather is still feels like summer some days and other it feels like spring, but the time it feels like fall it will be winter. Here we only have 2 seasons summer and winter, we skip over falls and spring. We don't see snow or bitter cold until Jan sometime early like end of Nov beginning of December.
Hello all .. just did a Costco run last week and did not see any limited items . Pretty well stocked but our local stores Walmart and Stater Bros are out of things and prices have gone up !! I'm in So Cal desert around the Palm Springs area. If you dont already I have a peanutbutter tip ... store the jars upside down it keeps the oils from settling on top of the jar. 💛🙏🌻
Here in Syracuse, NY (central NY) our Costco is limiting paper towels, tp, and water. It’s been hit or miss in the stores for chicken and Walmart is always out of a lot of things but our other local stores have been ok. The items we have noticed are very limited in stores is Winter outdoor clothing our local Dick’s sporting goods had next to none yesterday which in upstate, NY is rare. The snow can fly early here and last, lol! Ammo for the approaching hunting season has been hard to find as well according to my hubby.
I haven't checked out one of these videos in a good while. I see you are still shopping. It's almost a full time job, and for most of the United States. Shopping, shopping, shopping.
I love Costco. Having extra canned goods is wonderful. I also drink coffee a lot, so having a BIG container actually saves me money in the long run. Praying for your extended family members. Hopefully the things get cleared up soon. Love from Florida where the temperature dropped to 68° last night. Had to turn off the AC.
Greetings Florida. Sorry to hear of the efforts you had to make turning off your air conditioning. 68*F/20*C must be a real hardship for you (LOL). Brace yourself buddy because by the time it gets to December and January you might even need to switch on your car's heater/demister some mornings to clear the windows of fogging up ! Things might drop to 50*F/10*C on a bad day, eh ? I guess all those Happy Peoples up AK way, will be experiencing -40*F/-40*C by the mid Winter for them, eh ? cheers from Downunder.
Hahahaha, forgetting how to drive in the winter time! Yep, here too in SE Michigan. I stay off the roads during the first storm for self preservation from other drivers!
In Maryland our Costco is putting limits on toilet paper. One per household. Chicken nuggets and chicken tenders are getting hard to find. Pudding is hard to find in Maryland. Gatorade is almost wiped out at my local grocery store. We are getting what we can when we can.
I really loved seeing Audrey having fun with her friend. Nice that they are in ballet together. Nice haul at COSTCO. We only have SAMS CLUB here in our rural area. Enjoyed how you met some Happy People in COSTCO! They seemed like an awesome Air Force couple. I want to thank them for their service. I am partial to The Air Force since my daughter and son in law are an Air Force couple stationed in the Las Vegas area.
I hate to say this but you may want to do what we just did with the limits and go everyday or every other day and keep stocking until your back stock is supplied. We brought everything up in July and August so now my parents and I with my girls are now stocking the pantry and back stock as well as our cabinets in the kitchens. Good luck on stocking up and with COVID still around as well as Norovirus I would stock up with enough supplies for the remainder of Winter until the end of June.
I live on my own, but bought a Foodsaver ($5 at the thrift store!) so I can get meats and veggies in bulk, shop the sales, and freeze them. Love to make from-scratch soups and stews, as well as bread. Autumn is holding on here in Colorado - usually by now we would have several frosty mornings, but none so far.
Greetings Colorado ! Strange that you used the word "Autumn", I thought that was only in Europe, England and the British Commonwealth countries. I had thought Americans exclusively used the word "Fall" instead ? Stay safe and warm, as Autumn for you means it's Spring for us here. Today, (Saturday 25th September) it was Sunny 21*C here today (70*F) for us in New Zealand (43 degrees South Latitude, 172 Degrees East). cheerio for now.
I'm in New Jersey and our teachers say Autumn but a lot of people do say "Fall". I noticed today our leaves aren't turning colors yet but I'm on the coast. I hope you have a beautiful, safe and healthy Spring!
I am looking into buying a Foodsaver as well. I too live on my own. Leaves started falling in August in the northwestern side of South Carolina. Autumn/Fall (I use both terms) is my very favorite time of year.
In Alabama TP is $20 for a pack like the one you bought and the rolls are smaller than they were this time last year. I noticed the roast were $7.00 and some change per pound and it’s the same here. The Mac and cheese you bought was about $3 higher than here and the canned goods were about $3 higher per container. Right now we don’t have a limit on anything.
We ate seeing bare shelves here in North Mississippi our local market the last few shipments has been short by half our Dollar General trucks they never know for sure when they will show up and yes prices are going up on everything! They say the delays are all due to not enough employees in warehouses! Thanks for all the updates! Love and Prayers as Always! God Bless Y'all!
Yes, I'm in Pa. and our Costco has limitations on things. So does some other stores. Walmart, Target on line. Sometimes you can't even buy paper towels or toilet paper on line.
Love seeing the kids running around the store helping. Do you not feel a more expensive shop is inevitable when you take your kids shopping with you. Never seen such a huge tube of crisps. 😂 ox
I think the cheese balls (tube of crisps) was their 'payment' for going ... but I agree... bringing the children along in some cases, can make things a little more expensive!
In New Zealand grocery stores are pretty normal. We have a few limits in place on and off but usually on the things on special and or some times because of shortages but yeah it's all pretty normal and open and easy to buy what we need.
Went to Costco in Little Rock, AR 2 days ago. There was a limit of 2 waters, 1 toilet paper, and 5 paper towels. Also a limit of 1 for disposable gloves.
Yes in New Jersey where I live both Costco and Sam’s Club have put now limits on all paper products and water again ( this is within the last two weeks).
In the 1960’s my parents shopped at a place called where house market. There were no UPC codes on the goods they needed to write on everything they bought. The cashier needed to punch in every number without mistakes for the final amount.
Water was limited at the Costco near me but one thing they were out of was any chicken, beef or seafood and the price tags were gone too which was interesting
Not bad. Here in Virginia we were also limited in toilet paper. Not sure about the water but they had very little on hand when I went last week. We picked up quite a bit of freezer foods and some non standard purchases that w would not normally get and our total was also over $300. A lot of times it depends on how often I get a chance to go on how much I need to pick up.
I saw a video that showed ships sitting off shore waiting to unload. There is a huge backup because the ports are full. I think there is a shortage of truck drivers. Ok, so now people are going to start freaking out again!
Happy Friday, SOMERS. I hope you are having a good day. Word on the street is that Fairbanks and North Pole are having snow. Oh my. As a former Fairbanks Alaska resident in my own right, I have experienced snow in late September. That happened six years ago. And now, the snow is coming back again, and once again, the snow comes down early on late September. Much prayers and love to you SOMERS. I hope you stay safe. Continue on your road on getting the giant gold play button. Oh, BTW, I always love these shopping hauls. Someday, I’ll shop at Costco.
There are delays on a lot of things here in Jacksonville Florida but you can never tell months down the line change and a heart we're still running at full speed but things change week to week
In England we have lack of delivery of petrol and diesel - lack of HGV drivers due to our leaving EU. We did have lack of toilet rolls at one time. Took me nearly hour to actually a garage with any petrol. Prices of things going up.
We have a lot of problems finding items now but a lot of our stores are still closed because of damage from Hurricane Ida. Lately having to go a couple towns over to find what you need. So many homes totally destroyed and in places people are living in camping tents on their property cause they have no where to go.
So I'm a new subscriber. I live in California and I want to move to Alaska. I retired from working at Costco, for 32 1/2 years. Prices are high here also. 3 ribeye steaks at the grocery store were $60.00! Needless to say, no steak for me this month! Costco item limits are the same everywhere. It's set by corporate.
In So Cal. Placed a Sams online order and when I went to checkout they had deleted 7 items including water. Can’t find white vinegar anywhere, no water or limiting. Certain chicken hard to find. Everyone needs to watch expiration dates. We are noticing many things that have long expiration dates normally are expiring much sooner. Our milk has been going bad days before it expires, third time it’s happened recently. Hundreds of cargo ships off our coast for months that aren’t moving.
Went yesterday, to Costco in Fort Worth and it was okay on the paper products, but you could tell that it was in high demand. Paper Towels and Toilet Paper were definitely getting bought and they haven't had Kirkland Tissues that I have seen in over 3 weeks. They only have Kleenex brand.
Yes,people forget how to drive in snow, and the mention of snow, even in town ,everyone runs to get milk, tp, bread! Here in Kansas City area your only able to get 2 of each item.
It was crazy when we had a tropical storm right before I went on vacation. Water and bread went out of stock fairly quickly. But anyway, seeing different prices is always interesting
I am waiting to purchase that winter hat you are wearing in your online store … mornings are getting chilly here in southeast Ohio a little and I cannot wait to purchase that winter ❄️ hat 💗💕💗
Our Costco in Oregon they are limiting how much water you can get , plus toilet paper and paper towels which they only have the Kirkland brand of both .. plus Christmas decor is out all ready
Hello, somers family ive recently found you on UA-cam and subscribed! Ive been getting caught up on all your videos and ive fell in love with all of you and the great state of Alaska its so beautiful.. hopefully i can visit one day its always been a dream of mine...watching your videos makes me long to see the snow and beautiful trees..here in ky we do have some snow but only like 1 to 3 inches its really rare to have more than that..so to see more would be a dream to me.thank you for all the loving prayers you send to everyone and all that you do. looking forward to seeing you all on the next video stay well and be safe.
Hello Sommers family hopefully your having a wonderful day today TGIF as far as Costco pricing here in BC Canada approximately 14hrs south of North Pole fortunately we do not have the restriction of 1 T P per customer seeing that we also produce the TP here in BC for Costco and water your price is slightly different from ours we pay 3.77 per 35 bottle's also add deposit and taxes on water that we bottle for every store seems crazy this 4th wave of covid hit BC Canada really hard plants shut down now lumber costs recalibrated from 12.98 per board foot now it's worth 3.98 lumber fell 9.00 per board foot so lumber mills are shut down for now to much stock on hand in my town we have 11 Mills 2 pulp mills 1 plywood plant I really appreciate the Information that your channel shares after all we are close enough to Alaska I love when you enlighten us on the weather we got a dusting of well I don't want to jinks you I'm sure you can figure out what we got long range forecast is for more sunny days ahead please keep the awesome vlogs coming thanks.
Central AZ- Costco- limit one TP & has not had water for a month or so. Other stores … stocked fairly well. Choices are dwindling and prices are rising/ packaging shrinking. Definitely planning on a large garden next year. Going to try to grow lettuce indoor with LED full spectrum light from Home Depot.
No limits yet , some store just have late delivery or substitute but prices are raising and I did see it won't s th stop , it was projected in August that by November it wouldn't be a surprise for items to have reached about 60 percent, I been trying to get needed items and canning before it's gone. Buying organic , secondhand or needed basics also giving what I don't need or use to neighbors or churches. I am thankful for prayer keep them coming thank happy people 😄❤
Every time we go to any of our local grocery stores it seems like they are out of something on our list. Just have to pivot and get something else. Just need to be thankful we can get groceries. I bought some of that chicken soup also!
Have a good weekend Here in the uk it’s chaos as supposedly we don’t have enough lorry drivers so random holes in supermarkets no limitation if you can find it you can have it Fuel is in utter madness yesterday we queue for 40 minutes to get petrol and on average prices a rising quicker than wages 😂😂
Hi from uk. Regarding prices for a 24 pack of toilet roll over here its around £9 . Compared to here your prices are quite high. Love your vlogs. Its lovely to see the Akaskan way of life. Love to you all xx
We are trying to go to Alaska in June also, have not been there for a long time. My sister in law lives there. My husband did years ago. Just be prepared, they all say, it’s just down the road! OK, but it’s 50 miles! Not my down the road!
We are trying to hit the red salmon run, not sure when exactly, last time we took home 15 red salmon, left some to replace the halibut, moose & caribou we took out of their freezer. Everyone was happy! Had to buy a freezer on the way home! So much fun!
Hi here in U.K. we have a petrol prob there isn’t any at the pumps as we are short of tanker drivers! Everyone is now planning for Christmas! Take care and safe 🤗🇬🇧
I've never been to Costco so I know the difference in North Carolina versus Alaska. But things have gone up alot. And there have been some shortages. I haven't been to the grocery store since last week so you never know from week to weak. Have a beautiful blessed weekend. Love you guys.
It was high Jessica but we are seeing odd shortages in south texas. We shop H.E.B. and love it however shortages on chuck roasts, Diet name brand sodas, Del Monte veggies, weird.
Nice thing about Costco (if you didn’t know this) if it goes on sale after you purchase it you can go back and get the difference that you spent reversed. They have a record of all things purchased on your card so receipts aren’t necessarily.
For pantry item you should look into canned sardines in cali 9.99 for 7 cans... it's a stock item I always try to purchase ... it's the cheapest canned fish ..but canned kirkland chicken is another inexpensive item to purchase and they also have sales on them .. just a thought
the shortages at the costco i work in are mostly because of a truck driver shortage. we have orders in and they are supposedly loaded and on the way, but they just can't seem to get here. i'm sure some of that is drivers are getting vacations in before the big christmas rush. as far as pricing is concerned, you're not wrong about that. most of the prices went up this monday. currently we only have limits on paper products of one per member per day, although we're considering limits on gatorade next so if that's something you buy stock up now.
The closest Walmart to me here in Southern Idaho does not have any of my favorite toilet paper, but I was able to order it online for delivery to my home! About $20 for 18 mega, 3-ply rolls. About the same price as usual. Last time I was actually in the store, there were no canning supplies at all. I needed several flats and rings, but I was able to get them online for delivery, too! Don't remember the price but it seemed to be reasonable so I ordered some extra. Love delivery service since the store is a 50-mile round trip and there's lots and lots of covid around here right now. May all of you stay well!!!
Love that Burt caved in on Giant tub of cheeseballs Garrett wanted, haven't seen too many rationing items but give it time weather always plays a part in grocery store demands !!
I'm all about The Costco Runs. Hope to see more around Thanksgiving and Christmas too. Wow, those Happy People moved there from Hawaii. Talk about a change in Weather
Wow Hawaii
@Dustin Dent That's what I thought also. Going from the average temperature in the 80's in Hawaii to Alaskan 3 seasons of cold weather.
@Mejestique Williams that's awesome yes you both seem very kind, hope all goes well for you all. Somers family are such a blessed family, and explain things so well. And are such wonderful role models for their children as well as their followers.
I just love when hubby does the grocery shopping. He spends much more than I do and buys multiples. He panic shops and everywhere is well stocked. Lol
Totally my husband too! I just love it.

Love the couple you ran into! Thank you for serving our country!
It is Sept. 28th, went to Costco in Louisville Ky. No toilet paper, no diet coke, very low on water.
Your videos bring peace when I feel like I may fall apart. Thank you so much.
Great job Bert and children for helping mom out with the chores. We all need to help out to keep it going. Great team work. 💕💜❤️
Hello! Hope Y'all have a great weekend. Blessings for health and happiness to the Somers Fam. And Happy Peoples.🥰🤗

I love how Evelyn give it some serious thought before she agreed that she would let Garrett get the cheese balls. 😂
she was thinking 'is there something I want more and offer as a substitute? " LOL
We don't have a Costco where we live but we do have a Sam's Club that I frequently shop at. It is getting harder to find certain things and also they've started rationing toilet paper and paper towels again. Have a safe and fun weekend! Blessings!

Saw that it was snowing in Anchorage today....gotta love that
Hahahaha, forgetting how to drive in the winter time! Yep, here too in SE Michigan. I stay off the roads during the first storm for self preservation from other drivers!
People do forget how to drive in snow! Love your family and your Costco special guests were great. :-)
I think I would have gone right back in to grab some more water and TP since it is already limited! Good job Bert, Evelyn, and Garrett! 👍👍👍😇😇😇🤗🤗🤗
the water was 2 per day
In Maryland our Costco is putting limits on toilet paper. One per household. Chicken nuggets and chicken tenders are getting hard to find. Pudding is hard to find in Maryland. Gatorade is almost wiped out at my local grocery store. We are getting what we can when we can.

About 2-1/2” of snow on the ground here off Chena Pump Rd.
Chicken wing family packs $4.99 per lb at Fred Meyer.
Whole chicken $0.99 per lb.

And the orange cheese dust will be everywhere! 😊
Are you from southern Oregon? If you are I know what store you are talking about
@@shellysmith1944 no I am not the store I am taking about was in Bismarck, North Dakota.
@@lorinewgard2476 we had one called U mark it
Water was limited at the Costco near me but one thing they were out of was any chicken, beef or seafood and the price tags were gone too which was interesting
That’s more than affordable. Here in Nova Scotia Canada you don’t tend to leave Costco with a bill under 700. We actually call it the 700 club lol
But isn't that Canadian dollars?
@@SuperLittleTyke still expensive tho
Do you think you could please make a Spotify playlist of the songs you use in vlogs? They are the perfect study/ chill music
just a little note that I was told near Christmas time we will be seeing less stock on shelfs , along with parts to repair things.
I showed my wife you guys and she said now she knows why i like yall so much!!
Fresh, not frozen, ribeye steaks at Tesco in England right now are £4.25 for a 227g steak. That's $5.65 US. They're dearer at Aldi.
Thanks for being amazing, God bless you all,and see you in the next video.
I feel you on people forgetting how to drive when it first snows! I’m in northern Alberta, Canada
Our grocery prices and gas prices continue you grow. Gas right now is $3.16 a gallon . From a small town in the Missouri bootheel. Love you show. ♥️
I am thankful for prayer keep them coming thank happy people 😄❤
It just got down in the 60’s here and we’ve been freezing. Saw on your Instagram that you all got some snow! ❄️
Many times bottled water is out at Sam's Club in Minnesota. They have a limit of 3. Toilet paper and paper towels ate limit 1.
Every time we go to any of our local grocery stores it seems like they are out of something on our list. Just have to pivot and get something else. Just need to be thankful we can get groceries. I bought some of that chicken soup also!
Have a good weekend
Here in the uk it’s chaos as supposedly we don’t have enough lorry drivers so random holes in supermarkets no limitation if you can find it you can have it
Fuel is in utter madness yesterday we queue for 40 minutes to get petrol and on average prices a rising quicker than wages 😂😂
Your family is so beautiful. Love the kids
Hi from uk. Regarding prices for a 24 pack of toilet roll over here its around £9 . Compared to here your prices are quite high. Love your vlogs. Its lovely to see the Akaskan way of life. Love to you all xx
Love love your Costco hauls. Have a great weekend.
I'm excited my husband and I are going to try to make it to Anchorage for the marathon next June! We've never been to AK before.
We are trying to go to Alaska in June also, have not been there for a long time. My sister in law lives there. My husband did years ago. Just be prepared, they all say, it’s just down the road! OK, but it’s 50 miles! Not my down the road!
Oh that's funny and good to know about down the road. I will be checking maps for marathon start and place we stay and airport.
They have a record of all things purchased on your card so receipts aren’t necessarily.
from the uk, all that stuff (close match items) would have cost around £80 to £100 (tax-vat included) depending on where the shopping was done
Us Albertans will send you stuff! We're locked down, again, but our shelves are always full. No changes there.
We are limited on the TP and paper towels to one per customer and then Ovid tests were 5 per customer. Same price on the TP here in NH
In my town in California we have the toilet paper at limit 1 and water limit 2 also like Alaska. Our toilet paper is $16.99 and water is $3.19
same here gloria toliet paper 16 .99in minnesota
Love the truck as always Bert! Blessings!
Love that Burt caved in on Giant tub of cheeseballs Garrett wanted, haven't seen too many rationing items but give it time weather always plays a part in grocery store demands !!
The winter driving happens every year. Than every time it rains as well.
