Fitting a multi-trait model with ASReml-R: Webinar
In this webinar with Dr Salvador Gezan, we discussed and illustrated how to fit a multi-trait (or multi-variate) linear mixed model using ASReml-R. We demonstrated some of the statistical techniques and benefits together with some analytical tips and tricks to facilitate the convergence of these models. We focused on complex random effects with multi-variate correlation structures (e.g., CORGH) or a factor analytic (FA) approximation, and the interpretation of the estimated parameters for breeding decisions.
