Multiplayer in this game was actually fun I remember people playing it in 2016 instead of infinity warfare back when people were hating on the whole jet pack jumping craze and fans just wanted boots on the ground. Multiplayer games in the 2000s were popular as of today, games such as world of warcraft being a pioneer in that trend. There was never a problem with modem connections if there was then people would just play on a wired modem back then.

Seeing that view at 1:22 made me think of the trailer for Resistance: Fall of Man. I remember back in the day I thought the game was going to be a spinoff to CoD 3 where the aliens literally interrupt WW2. One moment you’re fighting Germans and then wham, the Chimera drop in and start killing everybody.
Old CODs have a FAR better gameplay than the garbage we have today. Miss the era when COD games used to have a soul, better storyline, character development, somewhat realistic and "politically incorrect" among other things that today's COD lacks.
By politically incorrect you mean realistic/authentic lol. Back in the day, no developer cared about pc culture. It started around 2012 or so, and have gradually gotten worse each year since then. Glad im old enough to not care about modern games anymore, I still play some old games when I have time though, they are still fun to play.
i remember first playing this when I was REALLY young like 3 or 4 and I was so happy thinking I was about to play as the germans when I saw this scene not being able to read or comprehend the scene. I ran to my mom and said "i get to play as the bad guys!!" good times

I'm French, and I used to live in Le Bourg Saint Léonard. There is no similarities with the actual town. (Now I live in Argentan, the city where is supposed to be the COD WW2 train chase mission, and guess what, zero similarities. Maybe the game design need to make choices, but when i see something that supposed to represent the place where thousands of men sacrifice their lives, i think have a correct visual of the place is a good start.)

Ngl the constant screaming by the German soldiers got me to learn the phrases. Eventually I learned what they were saying based on what I did (throw a nade, man a rocket launcher, etc.) man those were fun times

He then tells the soldier next to him that they are to "retake the village, get ready for the counter-attack"
Too bad this game only available for console. While FPS is naturally more suited to PC gaming. Hell, Wolfenstein and Quake which pioneered the FPS genre were began in PC gaming.
