Guys who want the legs from Shriek, heat the torso and swap them so Yelena's upper torso is on Shrieks lower torso, then do the same paint removal for the white.
@@ooneybird27The real reason they use old bodies us to be able to pump out characters. The molds can only be used for a character/figure at a time. Why do you think they still use Bucky Cap despite replacing the replacement of the replacement allready.
I'm glad that we got an official comic Yelena Belova from Hasbro because she looks cool despite having single jointed elbows but I will get her along with her sister the new articulated comic style Black Widow figure from Hasbro, Awesome review on her Xcorpeo
I think I'd rather use nail polish remover on the Shriek body and swap heads. There's probably a similar belt available on line somewhere. Or use an Action Force Covert Ops body and swap heads. Just thinking about other options.
Are the ball joints on the hips of Yelena larger or smaller than on Shriek’s? If they’re smaller you could conceivably use some more heat shrink tubing to make the shriek hips fit
I just picked this figure up and remembered seeing this video and the first thing I did was mod the hips. Not sure if I am going to try and swap the arms or not. Kinda curious if the upper torso will be swapped with the new Black Widow that is going to be coming out.
Upper torso - yes, in the same way. Her lower torso is a harder plastic and could damage if the acetone is applied too long or too much friction. Might leave a white residue that you will have to sponge off with water
I explained it in a segment of the video. The holster is a tight fit, might not slip onto Shriek thigh cos it's thicc-er. I also like the texture sculpting on the cat suited torso

Dude, your videos are a gift to the collector community.
Amazing stuff to help us improve our figures.
Glad to help!
It's a shame Hasbro didn't just do this from the start...

That’s right. The legends design team doesn’t have much control over that though. They are probably being told to use old molds to keep down costs
I’m loving these mod tutorials.
I got a Shriek figure a while back just for this! Haven't got Yelena yet but will definitely do this mod!
@@ooneybird27Or swap upper torso since Yelena's upper torso is better, helps in swapping the harnass too btw.
Excellent idea with the shrink wrap!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Now this is my favorite channel
Absolutely awesome modifications!

I have a mod that I do on all my figures. Almost the same way you modify female torso. But I do it to the feet.

Shriek's hips are too thicc 😅 to fit into the space around the ball on Yelena's catsuit crotch piece
i just put the head and the belt on a shriek body!! :-) it works for me
That's great. I only swapped parts of Shriek to keep as much of Yelena's catsuit texture as possible.
Nice custom. ❤
Honestly I would have just swapped the upper torso of the figures and removed all of the white paint from the shriek figure

Yeah that new Black Widow looks to be a completely newly sculpted catsuit body
Great video, quick question. Does the white on Shriek’s body come off with polish remover as well?

Where do you get a heat shrink?
can you pop all of the female figures’ legs like yelena?
The new pinless bodies - yes. He old skinny ones with pinned knees - no
Great work, but why not just use shreik entirely. Just head swap and holster

Do you know of this method can work with the Guardians Vol 3 Nebula in switching out the robot arm onto the Heist Nebula?
Hard to tell since there's a lot of unique sculpting on the movie figures
How did you add her wrist blasters??
They're only on older black widow figures
Are there any issues holding a pose after modifying the legs?
No issues. I posed her on a flight stand holding up her legs at the end
Is the heat shrink paintable?
Not sure, I don't work with paints

Once again Hasbro is doing lazy effort for more price, big fail. Do you think the arms of Shuri MCU Black Panther will work better for her?
I'm not sure, I don't have that one. But judging from marketing images, it's got too much texture to go with Yelena's sleek cat suit
Damn so good but don't want to buy another fig just to fix this bllshtness of Hasbro.
Hasbro need to make and sell arms and legs only for our kitbash pleasure
else, we have to kill Shriek many times
