This one is probably the most requested DBZ cover! I'm glad to finally bring it to you & cross it off my to-cover-list!
I had a extremely difficult time making this one... I thought it would be an easy song to cover so I just pushed it to the side for a while but that ended up me rushing the shit out of it this week! The mix is not the best I've done... I think the drums sounds a bit weird but I don't know why... Next time it won't be as rushed!

I always loved how when Gohan switches to ssj2 the energy coming out of his body is so intense his hair is forced into an upward position
That's just what happens when you turn into a super saiyan.
That moment when Gohan surpasses Goku is the best scene in the whole dbz because Gohan had that build up from the start of the show !! Everytime I watch this scene I get goosebumps
And then they threw it all away with the Buu Saga

The Android 16 theme is awesome. I once transcribed the drums, man that was a bitch! Mike really did a great job, but it's hard to recreate. I wonder if I still have that transcription...

I love this song because the piano at the start sounds gentle and quiet and then when Cell kills 16, the guitar kicks in at the same time Gohan snaps. ITS SO GOOD!!

***** It completely lacks the soul and emotion of DBZ. Not to mention that the new things introduced are mostly lazy color swaps like SSJGSSJ/Black Goku.
That and the fact that the animation is horrible, like Sunday morning cartoon bad.
***** Alright, fair enough. I just found it to be extremely disappointing. Watched all the way up to the tournament and found it was not the continuation of the story I followed so many years ago. But if you enjoy, more power to you.
The Weird O's I prefer DBZ purely because the hand drawn art style and the grit. Every punch in DBZ felt more impactful whereas DBS has trouble making a punch look like it has momentum or force behind it when they throw it, especially on the ones with a buildup where they basically hold their fist still and make lines appear around it to simulate some lazy attempt at motion. The new arc with Goku Black is compelling enough to hold my attention though, definitely starting to love it. I never really liked Super before Goku Black.

Well done. So many people do 'metal' covers of songs and somehow think that throwing in a bunch of guitars and drums makes music good, while eliminating the melody almost altogether... You did a very good job of adding in some of my favorite instruments while maintaining the melody of the song.

For some reason i feel like there's a ton of symbolism to this track....It starts out slowly....like an awakening and it slowly gains a faster paste as if Gohan has awoken,Gohan can feel all that strength inside of him bursting out in a complete rage,and then it gets to the even faster parts where he probably goes "AND I WON'T WATCH THIS ANYMOOOOOOOOORE!",and then at the end of the song it's peacefull again....Gohan has finally ascended
