Ventricular walls are thicker than arterial walls because ventricles pump blood to the whole body so they need a thick and muscular wall to pump blood into two aorta under pressure

The atrium has a thin wall because it receives blood only which not require much force
The Ventricle has a thick wall because it pumps blood to the entire body which requires a lot of force.
The walls of the atrium was thin because atrium relaxes when it is collecting the blood then it will in the contact to the next chamber so it's helps to transfer the blood while the ventricle have thick walls so the blood will not to come outside during circulation.....

Ventricles have thick wall because they are distributing chambers and have to distribute blood to body parts that's why the pressure generated there is more to withstand that pressure they have thick walls otherwise they will burst.

Walls of ventricles are thick in compare to the walls of atrium because ventricles pump the blood out from the heart with immense pressure either to all the body parts through aorta (oxygenated blood) or towards the lungs through pulmonary artery (deoxygenated blood).
