    Great uses of those cattle panels! I grew tomatoes like that last year and it worked for me. Nice to see stuff popping out of the ground already for you too!

      Thanks Emily! 😊😊 I used the board method last year for the arches because honestly I didn’t want to use the t post driver by myself haha. But it worked great so we did it again and I rather like the look of the arches with out the t posts 😆😊. -Cara

      thank you 😊 These cattle panels have been a great addition to the garden the last few years. I used to use tomato cages for my tomatoes several years ago before I switched to cattle panels and they would always fall over half way through the summer haha. -Cara

      Thank you!! :) The cattle panels are really sturdy and they do a great job for trellising things. It is a two person job though fyi. I did two of the arches by myself last year and it was much easier with Ryan's help haha -Cara

    The new beds are looking real good. I think this year's garden will be better than last year's. 💖💖💖
    I am going to empty out my two raised beds this year, so I can move them just a tiny bit closer. Then I want to get cattle panels to arch over them, so I can turn it into a greenhouse during early spring and late fall. Trying to find ways to extend my short growing season here in the frozen north! 💖😂💖

      Vegetables and herbs.like hot peppers,egg plants. Butter beans, green onions,
      Bitter melons, parsley ,basil , Thyme ,leeks, spinach and
      Garlic ,but maybe it's too late for the garlic.
      I will start my seedlings soon. it really cold here still.

    The soil and compost looks good. We corn and beans this weekend, and planted out our tomatoes a couple of weeks ago. We are suppose to get cooler weather next week, but so far no frost is predicted.

      oh no 🙈 I am sorry they are expensive where you live. I am not sure the current prices here. We had used these cattle panels the last couple years, I think they were $15-$20 a piece when we bought them though. -Cara

    Wow, that looks so nice!! Can't wait to see it all full grown this summer :) It's so nice that things are starting to grow there. We are still frozen up here, it's an unusually cold March. I have been starting seeds so that is tiding me over for now, lol.

      @@bluebirdhomesteadI bought some weed barrier so we are going to try and put in a ground gardens hopefully some cattle panel arches. I’ve got to convince Gary that we need more growing space… and that we can keep up with it. I’m not even sure myself, but I hope that if we don’t have to deal with weeds it will be easier to maintain.

      Hi Ady! Surprisingly we will have half the growing space this year that we did last year. 😊😊 I do hope to preserve more food this year though! I will have to do a freezer tour at some point to show all of our deep freezers 😜

    What kind of wood do you recommend to make raised beds

      I would recommend cedar or redwood, something that is naturally going to weather. We did not use that, because we had left over lumber. However if we had to buy wood for new beds we would purchase cedar. -Cara

      Thank you. I am not 100% sure what is is since I forgot to label haha, but I know one of the things coming up is hollyhock and I believe the other are the African disk daisies. I also have poppies, love in a mist, bachelors button and a few other fall sown flowers planted in the bed. -Cara

    How deep did you sink your tee posts?

      Around a foot deep or so. I generally just make sure the top of the tee is buried in the ground for this application.
