Same as a german. Only have a few select cities to watch these shows, I only can think if two for big ones like these.
Plus, since they are in german, we mostly dont get alot of the stuff you can see in America or the Uk, even though we did get Hamilton.
For other stuff we would have to travel either to the US or UK.

This musical is very impressive in person. The puppetry of the various animals can be very realistic. My mother took me to see it when I was a kid and the elephant 🐘 walking down the aisle of the theatre was a wonderful surprise because you're so focused on what is happening up front.

Seeing this in a theater in person was an incredible experience, they stirred up dust ahead of time so that you could smell the sand in the air, and sprinkled it in the carpets in the isles between the seats so that as the actors walked down past the audience, singing, in these beautiful, elaborate costumes, it kicked up sand with every step they took as though they were on real ground in the African Savanah! Actors don’t usually come off of the stage, it was really a magical experience.

I saw this live 15 years ago, but I was disoriented by everything happening on the stage. Now, I understand that the chaos and cacophony right before the king and queen showed their cub is a realistic representation of the animal kingdom - especially with the birds, and it's so beautiful that suddenly there's this moment of silence where the animals gaze in reverence at the newborn.

It’s amazing on many levels just how similar each of these gentlemen are to people I know and meet daily and yet how very different everything is to them.

The fact that people who do not understand the words but can feel the exact same emotions at the exact same time as someone understanding the lyrics-- it all comes down to the music. This was actually the very first musical I got to see when I was a child. It was nothing but mind-breaking seeing one of my favorite animations be brought to life in such a way.
Even after all these years, my appreciation for such a craft has only grown with the knowledge and understanding of how such productions are made (especially since I've been able to participate in making such magic myself in community theaters for others to enjoy).

I loved this so much brother Adnan! I've been out of state since November (back to my home state of South Carolina).
We'll be here through the Christmas and New Year holidays and the trip has kept us very busy with catching up with family and old friends, so I haven't had much time to watch. But, when I saw this video pop up in my notifications, I just had to watch it to see the reactions.
For the last 10 years, I've lived way up North in upstate NY (about 4 hours North of NY City) and I've been blessed to have seen several Broadway shows.
My fondest wish is that someday you and the team will be able to travel to either the US or some large European metropolitan city and see some live concert and stage performances. Being in a big theater or concert venue can be absolutely magical! You can literally "feel" the music in your bones, in a way that a video recording can't really duplicate.
And trust me... I know that would cost quite a bit to come to fruition, but I have the utmost faith that it will happen one day for you! Your dedication and hard work for and on this channel will bless you and the whole team a thousand-fold and you'll be able to do things that you haven't imagined! I just know it in my heart of hearts!
It was such a lovely little break in the busy holiday festivities, to sit down for a couple of minutes and watch some of my very favorite people in the world, enjoying a musical stage performance for the first time! It was every bit as joyful as I thought it would be!
Take good care of yourself and each other and don't ever stop believing in your ability to make your dreams and the dreams of others come true! Much love and abundant blessings to the Trybals family from your American sister! 💛🕊️🙏

The Lion King is beloved. Even I can't help but cry at the opening song. So I am watching this with tears in my eyes. Lion King is children's Shakespeare. It's about the loss of a father and the rise of a young man/lion and how he becomes king. I think the idea came from an old cartoon I use to watch called Kimba The White Lion Cub.

I’m glad our friends over there appreciated it as well! I know that there’s lots of UA-cam videos showing different language dubs of Disney songs, I’m sure there must be at least one in their language from this popular movie. It would be cool to see them compare the stage vs film versions.

You don't expect them to change their tastes or preferences, to dishonor or change their own cultural values. You just expose them to some of the best of Western culture and allow them to react to it from their hearts. I love you for it.

The Lion King is based on Shakespear's play, Hamlet.

Obviously this is not a new video, but all the same I felt the need to add a second comment since it’s a different idea than the first.
I’d be super interested in having the ‘uncles’ react to some animation. The Lion King was an animated movie first, after all.
There’s just SO MUCH animation to sample, too.
I know there’s some cultural differences with certain things being animated, but you also had a video with ‘Take on Me’ from A-Ha, so I figured I’d at least bring up the idea.
Everything from classic black and white Mickey Mouse shorts (Steamboat Willie is in the public domain) to later Looney Tunes would be interesting.
Beyond that, some of the Disney movies like Lion King, maybe the Hunchback of Notre Dame or the Little Mermaid? Even the CGI ones like Toy Story, Up, or WALL·E? (If none of those are acceptable, maybe even Zootopia, since there are no human beings in that one). And that’s just western animation.
You could also do ‘anime’ from Japan, like major hits like Dragonball Z, One Piece, Naruto, or Pokémon. Or go a little bit deeper and do Cowboy Bebop, Gundam, or Junji Ito.
You could easily do a couple episodes on ‘animation’ if you wanted.

Wow, I never saw what the stage show looked like. Amazing! I’m every bit as impressed as the gentlemen. I agree that you “feel” they are alive.

Some of the Disney stage musicals feel like they just took the movie and put it on stage, but with Lion King, they really did something creative and different.

WHAT'S UP WITH ME. I was wondering which version this was as the refrain wasn't being sun in English. Then, close to the end of the song, noticed the little avrotros and NPO1 in the top corners. They were singing in Dutch. MY NATIVE LANGUAGE.
In other words: if you want a translation of this version, I could probably give one
Also, I think they might enjoy Stefania by Kalush Orchestra. It is in Ukrainian, but English translations are available. There is a stage version and a music video. It was originally written as an ode to one of the artist's mother for an international music festival (Eurovision, they represented the country of Ukraine). Between the announcement that they would be singing that song and the festival itself, Ukraine was invaded by Russia (part of Ukraine has been occupied since 2014, but this was fully with the intention to take over all of Ukraine). So the song got a new, additional context. The mother was now also mother Ukraine. They won the contest and the song sends shivers down my spine. (Ukraine is currently beating Russia back with increasing success! This contest was in May if I remember correctly)

Yeah, it is the Dutch one! I watched it in person and they flew the birds very close over your head and you could see the animals up close as they walked through the paths between the seats. It is incredibly impressive to see in person how they made those. I also think the audio in this version doesn't do it justice. It was really good in person.

I was amazed by similar to circle the word being sung was.. for Swahili! lol but it was Dutch. That makes much more sense.

This was really cool to see! My friend Dan got to play Scar in one of Disney’s productions of this, I’m not sure which one, but knowing him, he would be perfect for it. Happy Yule from Los Angeles! ❤️‍🔥

I just watched your video where they reacted to Kate Bush - maybe you should show them more of her work. I think it would be much more interesting for them than hard rock.
And considering that Kate Bush is considered one of the best artists ever (she composes and writes her own music, and was knighted for her contribution to British music), that alone is interesting.

I’ve had the honor of seeing this musical in person many times - the music, the energy, the message - you feel it to the very core of your being. Most excellent! 🥰🇺🇸
