    I had a HUUUGE Fig tree in my yard that made Huge figs.. its simple to root figs.
    1... If a limb touches soil for long it will root itself. Just dig around it and go plant it.
    2. Put some dirt on a low laying limb w a rock or brick on top and a few weeks later clip the limb and go plant the tree limb.
    My dad always put a whole box of salt around his tree every year. Was always disease free. I like using epsom salt tho. The extra minerals make them sweeter. ✌️😀👍

      @@johnmason6892 I would say it definitely works for outdoor plants, but should also work placing inside. I was able to root 14/15 cuttings placing the cuttings in rainwater and in indirect sunlight (between my house and garage). I’ll post the video of transplanting the cuttings to soil (shows roots) today at 7pm CST if interested in checking it out.

    1. 지퍼 백에 삽목하거나 포트에 삽목하거나 그냥 물꽂이를 한 것들 중에서 지퍼 백에 삽목한 것이 뿌리가 가장 빨리 그리고 잘 내린다는 것인가요?
    2. 봄(2월~3월)에 줄기와 가지를 쳐서 삽목을 하거나 물꽂이를 하지 않고 굳이 늦가을(11월~)이나 초겨울(~12월)에 줄기와 가지를 쳐서 냉장 보관하는 수고를 들였다가 봄에 삽목을 하거나 물꽂이를 하는 이유가 뭔가요?

    • @KoreanGardenerTV
      @KoreanGardenerTV  2 роки тому +1

      1. 정답은 없습니다. 재배환경에 따라 다릅니다.. 경기북부지역이라 춥고 건조해서 지퍼팩이 가장 잘 되어 올려보았습니다.
      2. 경기북부지역이라 겨울을 날수 없습니다. 봄까지 그대로 방치하면 가지도 죽고 화분에 있는 뿌리도 다 죽습니다.
      11월에 가지를 자르고 냉장보관하고 화분은 보일러실에 보관하여 겨울을 나고 있습니다. 따듯한 나라면 큰 나무처럼 자르지 않고 키우겠지만 겨울에 영하-25도로 떨어지는 지역에서는 저 방법이 최선입니다. 😭😭😭

    You must have done these right at the start of spring, I did one last year in early winter and it took months to root. It did work eventually but the plant is still kinda unhealthy (could be some sort of virus or a lack of sun where it is, not sure)
    I'm gonna do it again this year with more than one but I'll do some things differently this time, one of them being taking the cuttings in later winter rather than early.
    I'm also gonna prepare one and just plant it straight in the ground outside and see what happens

    • @kqdwills
      @kqdwills Рік тому

      You're right. In the winter, the trees are in dormant state. They are low in growing hormone, resin and phloem, hence the slow rooting process. They will eventually growing roots, but they don't grow foliage as robust like the figs in this video. However, there are internet information says winter is the best time for rooting fig cuttings.
      Many kinds of trees like mulberry, forsythia... you can propagate them by just planting them outside in the ground. They will be rooting and growing come the spring. For some figs, since they are better values, so people chose to root with the method like in the clip. However, figs are easier to get roots, so planting out in the raised beds working too, as long as the fig cuttings are healthy.

    Thank you for the perfect rooting information. However, leaves telling us that branches are not prolific and they may not produce figs. Do they need grafting in the time ahead? Thank you for your reply.

      It's growing well now.
      It uses Korean soil and later gives a lot of fertilizer and manure.
      What started in the spring is not shocking at all.
      Thank you for watching my video :)
