Your videos always slap Noah but this one, super fantastic man! I love your work, keep it up as you are one of the best in the "bread tube" or progressive community on YT!

"If men are expected to be almost perfect the least women can do is groom themselves properly"
I absolutely cackled 💀 Who exactly is expected to be almost perfect when we have tons of men in relationships that dont even know how to do their own laundry?
expected to be perfect = no skid marks in their undies
fr. I spent too many years settling for men who wanted a new mommy and could barely hold a job because that's the majority of what's out there. You see "high value men" like Crowder caught on camera lounging and yelling at his wife that he doesn't love her because she asked him to give the dog its medicine. These are the people conservatives look up to. It's painfully obvious that this is how a shocking number of men just ARE and they think it's a good thing.
No seriously I laughed out loud at that part 😂😭
Some of them cant even survive alone. Calling that out isn't crying to be perfect,it's just called having basic survivor skills and not being a blob. Likee
No seriously, at that part I was like "your 'perfect' doesn't even include shaving at all but 'the least women can do' does include shaving? If men's perfect is so much lower of an expectation than women's bare minimum then yeah, you need to be perfect to go on dates with them, I don't even feel bad for you"
Men literally admit to going for foreign women BECAUSE they believe they are less educated, more submissive, and also hyper sexual. Like come tf on misha
The most common example is the shit on TLC.
For real, like he said it's problematic to say "oh Asian women are all submissive and meek and uneducated unlike us real women in the US" but there are quite provably men who think foreign women, in particular east Asian women and Russians, are submissive and uneducated, and most importantly that the foreign women will be hyper dependent on them (the men) because they (the foreign women) need a way to escape from their oppressive home country and they know their new husband could have them deported at the snap of a finger. There is quite clearly plenty of men who think that's the case and that's why they pursue foreign women.
I don't know what HER explanation was. The amount of "ugly wokes" in the US isn't high enough that there's just no women available for these single guys, so why does she think guys actually look for wives from other countries if it's not because they think foreign women are submissive and stupid?
No no, we go for foreign women because they haven't been RUINED by woke western culture. We go for foreign women because we can't stand the women from our own countries anymore. Y'all are fuckin' raggedy.

"They're a tomboy then a few months later, they're getting top surgery!"
My dude, it takes months to even get a consultation for top surgery.
Exactly they act like getting anything for transitioning can happen in a few hours
Also the thing is that, tomboys know that they’re women. They don’t have gender dysphoria, they may like boys more, they may wnat to be ‘one of the boys ’ in terms of fashion, ‘masculine’ activities or just to be a part of a group, but trans men might have all of that, but also have gender dysphoria and literally feel uncomfortable and trapped in their female body. THATS THE DIFFERENCE.
Nowadays you dont even need a consultation, my brother was approved almost immediately (Australia), idk if this is happening anywhere else
It takes even years to get testosterone
There is a way to get a fast consultation: money. I saved up for over a year and knew what surgeon I wanted. I had to pay a non-refundable fee just for the consultation, but it was scheduled a week from when I called. My surgery was scheduled for the next month because I lucked out and someone had canceled. This clinic didn't even accept insurance of any kind; everything was out-of-pocket. I was fortunate to be in a position where I was able to save up and afford to pay for the surgery I needed.
Most people are not in that position. Especially young people. So, yes, it is possible to have certain procedures done relatively quickly. But for that you need money, access, the ability to travel to an informed consent clinic, and even then I still needed a letter from my therapist.
“Why does Gen z want to look ugly”

“Why does everyone today think they have to be so ugly?” - is something I’ve heard since the 80s. Every generation has individuals and subcultures who want to reject norms, and others who like to complain about it.
It's also fun how people like her will say that "Conservatism is the new counter culture, the world has gone woke!!!", talk about how traditional values are frowned upon these days, whatever whatever. But then at the same time, say that the same traditional values are the law of the land, nobody accepts them, and no wonder these woke-ists are struggling
Aye, so much for freedom
Inter generational complaining goes back to at least the ancient Greeks, particularly the elderly Athenians who would down on younger citizens as being wimps compared to their own youth when they fought the Persians.
That younger generation, of course, fought the Spartans for thirty years.

How exactly does one have a male or female surname? And Misha is definitely a girls name.
@Lazy_Prophet you know that English is not the only language in the world? True, beauty has always been totally subjective and different everywhere in the world. Conservatives just can't stop thinking that all their opinions are objective facts because they can't wrap their heads around the idea that anyone could think differently than them.
Absolutely. There is nothing inherently good or bad about being ugly or attractive and I’d rather be with an ugly nice person than a beautiful mean person any day. What’s funny to me, and I’ve not seen it said because other people are probably better than me, but this Mischa person and also the Pearly Things lady are extremely average to below average looking to me in terms of conventional beauty standards so I find it very funny that they lecture other women on their appearance in anyway. Could it be that these old ass men don't want themselves being distracted? Idk, just a bit wierd...
I mean, there _are_ jobs where you can't wear whatever you want, like laboratories and kitchens for example, but as a general rule of thumb, yeah.
its the Conservative Logic Gap - where right wingers will say things like "men are natural leaders", "women are too emotional", "liberals are obsessed with children and sex" all while also claiming women have to power to distract and seduce men just by being attractive near them and fighting tooth and nail to maximize teen pregnancy and protect child marriage.
this standard of beauty is also attributed to racism. Around the world, especially in indigenous cultures, self expression through tattoos and hair colors and wearing bold and colorful clothing is often just called 'ugly' in the western world

Fr
I can't remember the details, but I was watching a documentary about a group of people living in the Pacific Islands, I think at least. Whenever they're from it doesn't matter, the main point was their culture had women get these really elaborate face tattoos as a coming of age tradition. A lot of the young women were not getting the tattoos anymore because they wanted to get jobs in the city, and they won't get hired because the tattoos are considered "unprofessional". Ridiculousness of that aside, I find the tattoos to be so beautiful. Why would a cultural marker matter, especially in our current age? I too think we should leave people alone and maybe not worry about how they look?
@@ChristopherSadlowski There's a similar face tattoo thing with the Ainu people. If I remember correctly there was a point in time where the facial tattoos these women got were illegal under the Japanese government.

I completely agree with your point. Its astounding seeing these people being hateful for something soo insignificant. Only passable(yet still wrong in essence) argument could be that higher testesterone levels correlate with more body hair which might be the cause of this expectation for women to be less hairy. This kind of content is valuable. Thinly veiled misogyny is easily digestible to a huge number of people who fit within “the norm” and haven’t really thought about stuff too much. Breaking it down and explaining every misogynistic point, its logical fallacies and fundamentally its un-empathetic and conservative context might help wake people up who aren’t fully invested in those spheres.

I think it's fine, and healthy, to have disagreements - this isn't a hivemind. In particular for example, I didn't really agree fully with Noah's response about preference. Some of his criticism in its use as a cudgel is valid, but imo his argument kind of sounds like he's choosing to disagree and looking for reasons why, though it's subtle. Such as saying it's hypocritical for bearded men to prefer partners without body hair - that's not hypocrisy at all, it's just someone's self image not being identical to their wants in a partner, which is the case for most people (otherwise, most people would be gay, lol). To flip it around, I don't think anyone would question that a non-bearded woman finding bearded men attractive to be "hypocritical".
It's also important to separate the concept of sexual preference with general relationship/associative preference, and of course how that's applied in practice. Like, it's ok to not find someone sexually attractive, that's not something you can just choose to ignore, but like, that's fine, just don't date them. What makes it a problem in this case is the following harassment and berating.
@@KingBobXVI I would've preferred it if Noah had discussed that in terms of the false equivalence more, ie: men are allowed to have variety in terms of facial/body hair while still fitting into the conventionally attractive standard, while women must be hairless everywhere but on the top of their head to fit into the same standard. One is clearly more constrictive than the other, and this can also be extended to general grooming and hygiene practices.
I also thought he was way too reductive in terms of why MGTOW men will go to say, south asian countries in order to snag the equivalent of a bang maid. Yes, white western feminism can hold a lot of infantilizing and imperialistic attitudes towards women in other countries. But it is the case that, due to more severe patriarchy and colonial dynamics shaping who is considered to be "high status", that well off western men would have an unfair power dynamic in terms of trends that go beyond singling out particularly submissive women.
I think both of these grievances stem from a very double edged sword aspect about Noah, in that he will only stick to simple logic demonstrations and already wildly known conclusions. It makes his content very digestible and for easier reformation (particularly with the former, since confirmation bias can't really kick in when you use self evident logic and hypocrisy pointing), but it also does suck that he won't delve a tad deeper as well
@@KingBobXVI youre missing the point here. The preference is fine but these men go out of their way to tell these women they are DISGUSTING for having body hair that they are keeping on every part of their body. Have the preference but the loud disgust is clearly to shame women. If youre comfortable with your body hair, it being on a woman shouldnt be revolting. Something thats on every human being shouldnt disgust you. If it does thats a learned behavior worth interrogating. Preferring a woman shave her legs and pits is not the same thing here.

That is to say that not being bigoted about body hair was seen as normal by a large minority of the femme people I have known, and I think that is wonderful; anyone who sees that as threatening personally or socially is not someone I want to know.
@@mightymeatymech you probably go for weirdos that want a hairy 12 year old, that's not normal
Just want to point out, the tiktoker who said those men want "foreign girls because they can't handle women" could also just be referring to the tendency of these same guys to also say the prime age for pregnancy starts at 12-16, advocate lower age of consent, travel specifically to countries with lower age of consent, &/or say they have/would sleep with teenage girls as Tate has explicitly stated when speaking of a 16yo. There's a lot of weird rhetoric around very young girls in the manosphere and many argue that wanting women to be completely hairless can be seen as an expression of the societal ideal of women actually referencing prepubescent young girls. Just a thought. At least, that's how I read her comments.

About the body hair thing--I never wanted to shave for myself. When I was in 7th grade, I decided to start shaving my armpits, and it somehow felt like too "adult" of a thing to do. But there was this girl in my gym class who didn't shave her armpits and she was made fun of relentlessly. It was horrible. I shaved my legs and my vulva once that year because of pressure from others: my friends said, "You'd have such nice legs, if only you shaved." and my mom handed me her electric pube razor and said, "I bet it's a mess down there--you don't want a mess. At least trim it." Neither of those made me feel like a better person. I also didn't feel prettier. So I stopped.
The amount of hate you get for not shaving is real. I got dirty looks from adult women when they saw my underarms. Sophomore year of high school, one of my friends informed me that she had to tell some other girls from our gym class off because they were talking shit about my armpits on the bus. The next year one of my crushes, who owned a meme account on Instagram, found out I didn't shave and _made a meme_ to make fun of me. I got so insecure I shaved my whole body that night. Again, it didn't make me feel better.
The summer before college I went to the beach with my gram, and there was this really beautiful woman in front of us with her boyfriend. I admired her. When she lifted up her arm and there was hair there, I had an epiphany. I had been shaving my armpits again. I said no more. She made me want to be like her. And now I'm happy. I haven't shaved in almost four years.
I still get made fun of--mostly from my own family. My mom's always telling me to trim or wax it. I also have chin hairs, and I get a lot of comments about why I don't pluck or shave them. People are convinced they can have a say about _my body_. I don't want their kind of attention.
