Rest in Peace Abbie. You were the real deal.
Meeting film editor Louise Lebeau at Sheridan College was inspiring. Left an indelible impression as a film student.
so what else is new?....
Jerry Rubin, WTF?! Republican Caucus? Way to be a massive sellout. Nobody's expecting you to be a stereotypical tie dye-wearing hippie all your life, but come on.
Also: Poor Fred Hampton R.I.P. :(
I actually admire the road Jerry eventually took, I think it was a logical and mature decision
Best political doc I have watched in a long long time. A generation of man to be proud of. R.I.P
abbie hoffman lived & died 20 mins from my hometown in new hope, pa aka bucks county. fun fact
Thanks for posting this! This is very rare. I had a copy back in the 80's but sadly it's gone now!
How did we go from such an era of such idealism to such cynicism today?
Blimey ........ Ginsberg 's environmental prophecy .
Great movie. Thanks for uploading it! I've been raving about it since it came out. I don't think it was ever commercially released. I taped it on VHS from Canadian cable back in '89.
Jerry Rubin became a business entrepreneur and was killed jay walking in Chicago.
Harry Langdon in Los Angeles
Ginsburg is/was honest. his chant was too this and then it became that. I think that bit does make musical sense.speaking of music, John Sinclair did manage the MC5. and continued to smoke reefer as we see here .the band had to fire his ass, but they were also at fault .what this film says to me is that we evolve in our ways of thinking w/ no real control over it all .good little doc . the ending, Abbie Hoffman by way of Mark Twain, is excellent . ''you've got to do democracy''while not forgetting that people of every stripe will pitch in when it affects all of them. like the Delaware river issue.
#FredHamton nailed it.
sjw 1.0
Let's all work on bringing back Idealism and Enormous Possibilities back to our world. Reject the cynical, pleasure-seeking and materialistic cultural values all around us. We live in a super-disconnected time. That needs to end. Reach out to one another. We really have more in common than differences. Most Importantly, put your faith in Jesus Christ not in men and women.
One thing though ......where's the female voices ?
Mostly psychedelic gibberish
That's what's Great about it !!
I actually bought this a long time ago. Thanks for uploading this doc.
"Sacred moments of character"
Students wearing RED
Who is the guy who says "stop the trial" speech?
Abbie Hoffman
The gimme gimmes
Abbie Hoffman committed suicide, probably because his time had passed and the youth were no longer interested in his kind of circus.
True but fuck you for saying that.
@@ADSuri "fuck you" -- did you just make up that remark? You must be pretty smart, and an original thinker, too. Who are you following (obeying) these days?
Social political involvement triumphs apathy.
