Road to a million miles car❤🎉
That’s the ultimate goal 💪
Considering that within a few years this vehicle will be road tax and ulez exempt for london roads, truly astonishing!
That would be great 🙂 Here in Finland a car needs to be registered as a historic vehicle to get rid of road tax… Unfortunately this is not in a good enough condition for that…
Excelente boa compra!!!
👍👍👍👍👍🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹

On komia👍
Maailmanlopun auto ja päästöinä puskee sammalta pakoputkesta :D. Legendaarinen toi analoginen kello kojelaudassa.
On kyllä 😅
Kylläpä käy sievästi. Luja auto.
Niin sievästi kuin nelosdiesel nyt yleensä käy 😀
That looks pretty decent, tidy inside for an ex taxi too. 700k on the clock I see, its only just run in 😆. Surprised it’s a manual as a taxi, I would have autos better with all the stop start driving?
I had a couple of W202s but never driven a W124, dash looks similar and brings back memories. I did like following that three-point star, miss that. I liked mine; 1st was rotten and sold to the republic of Ireland on ebay, fair dues the bloke came and got it. The 2nd I just got bored of in the end lol. Both were petrol’s, I am not a diesel fan.
I liked the bit where you showed outside and you drove about, interesting to see the country etc. Have you though of doing a driving film showing the area?
Yes, and after taxi use it was owned by a construction company... So pretty harsh history indeed... There is still some paint stains in the rear seats... These will last for a million kms I hope :P
As we really do not have traffic jams in Finland, at least in the rural parts, an automatic gearbox was seen as an unnecessary luxury item back in the days. Even in taxis I suppose :o
For some reason I want my MBs to be diesel, other cars might be petrol also...
I'll integrate local scenery in my videos whenever I can - this video was filmed in my own yard, our town centre and in the nearby industrial area.
@@ccrepairchannel It sure has had a hard life, amazing its in such good condition. I bet a modern MB would not see a million kms. My petrol ones were pretty strong engines (I forget how many miles they had done) but always need MAFs for some reason and only Bosch would work, at £200+ a time a costly but easy fix. Steering dampers was another favourite to need replacing I found on the W202, but they were cheap enough.
Is this to replace the Volvo?
I look forward to seeing about the country/town when you can. Interesting to see your country.
@@WelshRob1964 Those modern cars with modern problems 😅 I’ll probably sell my Volvo, after some repairs… I think the most interesting thing about my country is the difference between seasons… Right now it’s beginning to be tolerable again, I must admit that spring is my favourite. Our summers are usually short but surprisingly hot… Considering the winters are violently cold and long.
@@ccrepairchannel Far to complex modern cars. Good luck with selling the Volvo, hope you get a good price. I am still considering selling my K11, now is the time if I do as it just passed its annual test. Its spring here now and sunny days, I must admit to preferring winter 😁
@@WelshRob1964 Thanks!
🤗👍👋👋👋
Minulla on samanlainen,ajettu Vain 215000km.👍
Ei taida ajamalla loppua 😅
nice over 700000km
These old Mercedes odometers are very durable 😅
hey I'm looking to buy one of these this month any common problems I should be looking for that would be easy to notice?
Well, I think that rust is the main issue with these. Basically you could find rust anywhere - try to find one with as little rust as possible, especially underbody. Mechanically 124s are quite bulletproof - there is usually some minor issues as these are so old and high mileage. Luckily parts are available, not that expensive and these are pretty easy to work on.
Some say that the usual rust spot is in the rear subframe front mounting in the vehicle chassis - at least check those, you'll see them in front of rear wheels.
Why not gasoline engine ?
Well, I like tractors, and a diesel engine in a car reminds me of them. Also very low fuel consumption.
Old diesel is made to last forever. 700k on the clock and still moving fine
Parts of the KE-jetronic system are not cheap and the system is quite complex. On the diesel nothing every breaks and it is very simple.
@@amgjens Yes, old gasoline engines from the 80s are increasingly difficult to maintain these days... Luckily the diesels from that era are so simple.
Bjr pour moi mon véhicule balance légèrement de droite à gauche conduite à tenir pour les réparations merci d'avance bne journée
Shock absorbers / springs might need to be replaced? Some say that these 124s will handle a bit better with mild lowering - so maybe consider buying some "conservative" lowering springs.
That was a taxi car
Yes, these were quite popular taxi cars back in the day. Just like the E-class is and has been.
Заєбісь👍🙂🙂👍👍🤘
