couldn’t agree more. i just fell under 25k and the pressure to get back above it is so real. makes you sit on your hands while you watch a stock go up because you’re afraid of falling further.
@@mattjohnson268 you don't have to believe it. Im not here to prove anything to you. Your disbelief isn't going to change the amount in my broker account. And small in comparison to the account value. Which means it grew roughly 3% a day. So having $800 and making $24. Then $824 and making $24.72. As it grew the gains got bigger and I scaled faster. @@infinitelyllc, I have to admit that I had some extra $$$ so I jumped in way too early because I also had a lot of past stock experience but I had like ZERO day trading experience. Well I started with very little confidence and couldn't seem to get myself over that 50-100 shares at a time thing. Well when it happened it happened and it was all thanks to Ross. I started hitting some solid $300-500 numbers and my buying figures got bigger and bigger as I learned more and more about what I was doing right and wrong every morning. Now don't get me wrong it wasn't all pretty as I got the crap smacked out of me one day but it was totally because I didn't follow one of the most important rules and I stuck around way too late into the day but that still didn't get me my $11,000 back. However by the next 7 days it was back and I've actually lost more because of having to deal with Fidelity than anything.
I build computers for a living. I've built setups for day traders before. Last month I built one for this guy and got the trading bug on me now. I've been consuming all information I can get and will definitely take that 30 day tutorial. Your videos have become my daily bread to me! Thank you so much! I'm inspired 😊
Ross, I'm trading a $400 account on webull. Not a challenge, just all I've got to trade. No leverage, limited trades. Thanks for showing us how useful it is to get OUT when it's time to get out! I made a trade that stalled as soon as I got in. I heard you in my head..."That's not strength, that's weakness" so I bailed. Just shy of break even,
Really appreciate that you allow yourself to feel the full range of emotions in the same way a new trader who could only afford a small account would experience. It's wild out there when you digging from the bottom 😅
OVER TRADING!!! Yes once we get past 10:30-11:00 on the day you have to start getting really cautious about over trading because for small cap 60-70% of the trading could be done for the day. Not exactly what Ross was talking about here but just another simple example to keep in mind. And NEVER over buy the number of shares that late in the day.
100% one of my favorite videos of yours. I feel this video so much. I became a bag holder/swing trader from a day trade turned south. Held it way too long. Several months. It only got worse. Definitely learned a lot from it though.
What is surprising me is how quick these trades are. I have seen a few videos of yours explaining your strategy, the trading language, level 2, and then I started watching this series and this realization really shock me. No wonder most people loose money. These are serious decisions taken in such a small time frame.
Ross, its so good to have you in the trenches with us, I'm tired, hungry for profit, and have blood shot eyes, the mud is deep and if I stick my head up too far it will get blown off. Your the chaplain of trading!
Man,I want to tell you that this episode came to me in a very hard time I'm having with trading..I was starting with 3k and after 3 months of ups and downs..I'm standing now at 560 dollars only..I'm green in paper trading, but when it comes to money..I lose..bad setups..low volume..didn't check float..bagholding ..really your failure and coming back in this particular days gave me a huge opportunity to analyse where I did wrong..thanks Ross..keep sending those priceless advice..they help alot.
Absolutely. Great attitude. I review my winning trades and still usually shake my head and say Dude you got lucky. It's a lot. Wake up 4am PST, monitor, review, plot, trade, win lose, off to work, 6pm gym done, 6 to 8 pm review day's trades, watch content, filter out the excessive trading noise, rewatch Ross, etc. Oh, and continue Pro classes. You can only be successful with this dedication. If the market turns green, watch out, because what you've lost in ur account lately was paying tuition and fine tuning u for the good times coming.
I did all this mistakes and lost a $5000 account during the last week of December... now I need to save money which is going to take months to even come up with a $1000 to put back in the account... really learned a lot of lessons
Alright man i watched a good chunk of ur stuff to help me start. Im on week 2 starting with less than a hundred just to try things and play around. Went negative 30 percent from noobie mistakes. Well as of today im postive 1 percent overall! Poured some more cash in and ramping up slowly. Your videos made all the difference your amazing
I'm impressed with your passion for giving back. Looking for a way to sustain a modest lifestyle. I don't need much and this is the extra little push I need. Thank you.
All of your videos and teaching lessons are so great but this one really spoke to me because I'm trading with a small account and have the same struggles, frustrations, concerns and pressure you're feeling with your small account challenge. It is comforting to know if I have had and have these struggles and pressure, that even the best traders can feel and struggle with the same.
With my CMEG account, I get full leverage as soon as the bid crosses $5.00 - no matter what it opened at. Provided the symbol is one that they allow leverage on.
I thought it was just me.I finish my training on my demo account last year turning over 800% profit. Started at the begining of the year with a $4500 cash account, and split that in half.first three days I made a profit of $150 $150 & $290 Past four days I'm down $600 but I notice I haven't been seeing those same setups early on and had been questioning wether or not I should have been sitting out
These are some of my favorite videos - watching you trade a small account with live commentary! I'm in the simulator and hope to start with live money in 3-4 weeks (after a profitable simulator).
there are so many awesome educational nuggets in this episode. thanks ross. i look forward to rejoining warrior trading in the hopefully not so distant future.
Ross one of your best vids ever. All of the analysis explains pretty much every trader’s demons we have to deal with on every trade, just different scales of position size.
This is THE BEST video I’ve seen of yours. I’m halfway through it and this is SO helpful in recognizing my own mistakes. Learning when to get out is my biggest issue and you’re helping me understand that with this video. Thank you.
Pressure is Good, Pressure makes diamonds and created the Core of Earth that holds us all together, you've got this Ross. PS: LOVE the Vegas Music on the Wins and Losses, LOL So much Fun!
I spent this week testing dumping stocks no longer than 12 seconds. I have had four hold hopes over 6 months that have wiped out my first year live green to red. I needed to force my fingers to get comfortable with cutting losers. When I jump in on the bid, I expect resolution instantly. If ten seconds can't push up, I cut. When mastered, I'll get my mojo again. What a quiet week but helped me stay out and not trade. No trade day is a green day to me in this environment
It’s so funny and sad at the same time. I do the same stupid mistakes even after 15 years of trading. And you Ross are right at every word, pressure, pressure of working every single day and keep that money growing and bills paid.
@denbak6185, I have to watch it or I'll still do the same thing with some of those stupid mistakes. My biggest one is trading too late in the day with too many shares. I'll tell myself to take my solid, solid gain and go but no I just run one more trade and get my butt kicked. So now my new rule is to just move the money out once it hits a certain level and then start again the next day and that way I've locked in those gains. So what I'm saying is that I'm looking for new ways to get myself to create and follow small easy rules that will help control me better.
Great content! Super helpful. I’ve been out of the game for a few years, and am jumping back in soon. Planning on getting your simulator, and course soon. Much appreciated Ross!
This was a great video. I’ve been trading for all of eight weeks, and I found myself stuck. Fortunately, today I had a major turnaround with the highs of the S&P Wanna watch this video every day
13:50, on the 1 min that was a picture perfect rising wedge I could see it right away… Rising Wedge is typically a bearish pattern but volume is key. I can’t really see the volume with the acct balance in the way. They can break to the upside but more often than not they are bearish. That was purely technical I believe.
At 15:39 I believe that pop was the retest of the bottom of the wedge after it had fallen through which confirmed downside. Shorts were probably adding right here.
Yay! Been waiting all week for this... Could you consider breaking them down into two videos? Tuesday or Wednesday and Friday? That way we don't have to wait so long? Either way I really appreciate these.
Great video and enjoying your content! Are you still doing the morning pre-market live shows? You mentioned this in a prior video but I haven't seen any live content and would love to hear about your morning pre-market thoughts!
Hey Ross, I just want to say thanks! I personally appreciated all of the videos. I just started doing stimulated trading with $200 as a starting point. I was able to make $25 on my first day just by reading the charts. I still need to get a track record, but I'm very enthusiastic about the potential.
Hi Ross. Love your videos. This challenge of trading a small account I find a bit misleading. For most of us, we don’t have the financial resources to use leverage. If we are in the red, how are we meant to pay the broker back with funds we don’t have? I think a more realistic challenge would have been to only have funds in that small account that don’t require leverage.
I have been watching you for about a month and love your teaching and being honest about your success and failures. Thanks for sharing with all of us. I wanted to start with the simulator, are you still offering the one month free. 🙂
Wow what a powerful ending. It’s like a movie watching these episodes. Love the music audio choice for this challenge as well just perfect selection. Ready for war next week between the markets and my own personal discipline to trade only my setups. Let’s Goooooo!!!!
Had my best day today! was overcomplicating things learning too much useless info. took it back to basics and had an amazing day! 100% green trades, good risk reward ratios for each trade my least amount of trades in a day by far! the less i trade in a day the more i walk away with its interesting!
Thanks a lot, Ross, for this awesome episode! I kept watching it 3 times second by second, especially those replays of real battles, so much useful info to absorb. Thank you.
Took a big loss on my small account the other day :( my first huge hit after being green for 2 months. Feel like all my progress is gone but at least i’m learning!
OMG I love you. Really appreciate the transparency. I've made every one of these mistakes. Getting better, but your validation in all these points is fabulous and has made a real difference.
Hey ross. Thanks for the uploads. My account's been a bit of a rollercoaster - not quite in profit town yet, but at least I'm not hemorrhaging cash. Your video nailed some of the mistakes I've been pulling, especially the whole dance with stocks under $5. Trying to ride a 2$ gapper with 200 shares? Yeah, been there. With under 1k shares, you're practically battling commissions more than making gains.
These videos are so fun to watch! Thank you for doing so well to explain. Couple of questions: Is your voice over live or are you editing in afterward? Secondly, would it be possible to have Ep. 3, Ep. 4 etc... first on the title? It makes it difficult to see which episode we are on with mobile. Thanks! We enjoy your vids!
Anyone notice that which requires the modality of analytics, at times, warrants the need of simplicity; up to and including a nature of capitulation…is something which has just come to awareness…
Ross - thanks for sharing your talents with us. My question is that I've been in Options Trading for 8 months now with an expensive group, and I'm down 70%. But still have just under 2k in my account. Will your strategies work in Options Trading? I want to switch to stocks, but not sure I'm ready to take on more pressure of the off-shore account, Level 2 setup, setting up scanners, etc. What's your advice. Thank you!
DANG ROSS!!!! everthing think you are saying is SO DANG TRUE!!! with your help from these videos I'm teaching myself to STOP doing this. Little by little... base hit after base hit is how I need to focus and start shutting down my emotions and like you said... Analytics needs to be my focus and execute on those Analytics is the key. easier said than done. hahaha! Thank you Ross for all that you do!
Great series Ross. I keep thinking I should do my own series on my stock channel, but I never get fairly consistent. Not sure if there's any value in that. I did do a great trade tracker video I think.
Ross appreciate all the info you have shared over the years. I’ve been on my own journey and seems my strategy has converged with yours very closely(I trade the same stocks as you almost everyday). I’ve built a similar scanner to yours but slightly faster(spent 5years building it). I’m often in before you based on your reviews. The question I have is, from a scalability stand point(only trading 2k-4K, currently, slowly scaling up) what’s the max amount of cash that you think can be traded in the first two candles of most stocks you trade. I’m hoping 10-20k cash, is no issues with getting in. (Don’t have any level 2 data to do historical research at time of entry which is often first 1 or 2 candles for me)
Ross, what a great video; all of your videos are great, but this one was the one I needed to see, right now. I'm a WTPro alum, and I currently sub to the WT Tools. I have just funded a small account with a similar amount, and I've been struggling all for the last 2 weeks to find good reliable setups. I've enjoyed seeing you rank the market, and corroborate my findings. I am also relieved to see that even you, our (my) mentor can make the same kind of 'rookie' mistakes that many new traders encounter. In the most brotherly and respectful way, I love ya buddy. I am chomping at the bit for Monday to bring us new opportunities in the market! Have a great weekend!
In the same boat. Here's what i implemented to battle these choppy markets. I created a cardboard sign in front of my computer. On one side it says high risk on the other side it says high probability, SIMPLE This is my reminder not to cross the road if i see a speeding car coming. Today is a day i should have just sat out.
I had exactly that happen to me when I started a few weeks ago. Followed a newsletter on stock called NRHI and they kept saying it would go up more and not to sell and at one time it did and I was up 400$ and I was greedy and lost it all. The graph looked exactly like what you drew. Since then I have been cautious and doing better. I looked at stocks making big runs once morning and got a piece of HOLO and made up for my loss. Only been trading month and half. I still have much to learn and still probably full of stupid mistakes to make. 🤣
Hey Ross, Will you consider making a Video this January to start out the New Year on how to set up a Great Penny Stock Scanner, OR at least a Great Scanner for lower end Stocks Under $10 using Either WeBull or TOS (Free Platforms)?? Great recap here, Great Small Account Challenge so far, Thanks Man!! - BC
I took one piece off the new IPO and haven't touched it since. I was watching it today, and nearly took the red to green at 9am est. Minor fomo there but somewhere between 10 and 10:30 est it looked like the algos moved in on the level II and it didn't move the same anymore. No trade day for me.
My biggest reasons explaining why retail traders fail: -They abuse risk-to-reward thinking it's gonna make a difference (It doesn't) -They always fight the current trend leg by trying to pick tops and bottoms -They buy and sell off of any ol' support and resistance from far left, thinking it's gonna hold

Had my best day today! was overcomplicating things learning too much useless info. took it back to basics and had an amazing day! 100% green trades, good risk reward ratios for each trade my least amount of trades in a day by far! the less i trade in a day the more i walk away with its interesting!
This is how every day goes for me, thank you for putting this out there!
Thanks a lot, Ross, for this awesome episode! I kept watching it 3 times second by second, especially those replays of real battles, so much useful info to absorb. Thank you.
i resonate with all of this, thanks ross.
Took a big loss on my small account the other day :( my first huge hit after being green for 2 months. Feel like all my progress is gone but at least i’m learning!
Hahaha Great line about "Jack of all trades"! 39:05 Great video as always Ross! Learned so much from you. Liked and subbed long ago.
Good day! Ross great recap. I was wondering about the literature that’s on your desk by the monitors you mind sharing the titles greatly appreciated
amazing learning thanks man
I really learned a lot from this video. Thanks Ross!
The King Is Back 🙏
These videos are so fun to watch!
Thanks, Ross.
Anyone notice that which requires the modality of analytics, at times, warrants the need of simplicity; up to and including a nature of capitulation…is something which has just come to awareness…
The best video yet!! thank you
Ross - thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Love your videos Ross. You inspire my trading.
Great series Ross. I keep thinking I should do my own series on my stock channel, but I never get fairly consistent. Not sure if there's any value in that. I did do a great trade tracker video I think.
Did you do a video for Friday? How'd you do in the big account? It's been tough the last week.
Ross, please talk how to put trailing stop. I learn that when the stock flash down( free fall) if I use SL, it help. TY
2:40 - What does thinly traded with big spreads mean? Is that something that’s seen on the tape.
Day 6 - But traded on January 5th
- BC
he has videos discussing what to look for in stocks and makes his own scanner available on a subscription basis
It is very difficult to trade on Thursday and Friday. The Bairs are in control.
I took one piece off the new IPO and haven't touched it since. I was watching it today, and nearly took the red to green at 9am est. Minor fomo there but somewhere between 10 and 10:30 est it looked like the algos moved in on the level II and it didn't move the same anymore. No trade day for me.
My biggest reasons explaining why retail traders fail:
-They abuse risk-to-reward thinking it's gonna make a difference (It doesn't)
-They always fight the current trend leg by trying to pick tops and bottoms
-They buy and sell off of any ol' support and resistance from far left, thinking it's gonna hold
Hi Ross, what are these scanners you speak about? Where can you get them etc? Im New to trading, Cheers
