Therefore PROVING that the PDT rule DOES NOT HELP traders not lose money trading stocks. IT HINDERS THEM with UNNECESSARY PRESSURE causing traders to make MORE MISTAKES RESULTING IN LOSSES!

@@mattjohnson268 you don't have to believe it. Im not here to prove anything to you. Your disbelief isn't going to change the amount in my broker account. And small in comparison to the account value. Which means it grew roughly 3% a day. So having $800 and making $24. Then $824 and making $24.72. As it grew the gains got bigger and I scaled faster. Also on Thursdays and Fridays option contracts are pennies on the dollar which allowed me to take on more size while managing risk the same

@@infinitelyllc, I have to admit that I had some extra $$$ so I jumped in way too early because I also had a lot of past stock experience but I had like ZERO day trading experience. Well I started with very little confidence and couldn't seem to get myself over that 50-100 shares at a time thing. Well when it happened it happened and it was all thanks to Ross. I started hitting some solid $300-500 numbers and my buying figures got bigger and bigger as I learned more and more about what I was doing right and wrong every morning. Now don't get me wrong it wasn't all pretty as I got the crap smacked out of me one day but it was totally because I didn't follow one of the most important rules and I stuck around way too late into the day but that still didn't get me my $11,000 back. However by the next 7 days it was back and I've actually lost more because of having to deal with Fidelity than anything.

Absolutely. Great attitude. I review my winning trades and still usually shake my head and say Dude you got lucky. It's a lot. Wake up 4am PST, monitor, review, plot, trade, win lose, off to work, 6pm gym done, 6 to 8 pm review day's trades, watch content, filter out the excessive trading noise, rewatch Ross, etc. Oh, and continue Pro classes. You can only be successful with this dedication. If the market turns green, watch out, because what you've lost in ur account lately was paying tuition and fine tuning u for the good times coming.

I spent this week testing dumping stocks no longer than 12 seconds. I have had four hold hopes over 6 months that have wiped out my first year live green to red. I needed to force my fingers to get comfortable with cutting losers. When I jump in on the bid, I expect resolution instantly. If ten seconds can't push up, I cut. When mastered, I'll get my mojo again. What a quiet week but helped me stay out and not trade. No trade day is a green day to me in this environment

@denbak6185, I have to watch it or I'll still do the same thing with some of those stupid mistakes. My biggest one is trading too late in the day with too many shares. I'll tell myself to take my solid, solid gain and go but no I just run one more trade and get my butt kicked. So now my new rule is to just move the money out once it hits a certain level and then start again the next day and that way I've locked in those gains. So what I'm saying is that I'm looking for new ways to get myself to create and follow small easy rules that will help control me better.

OVER TRADING!!! Yes once we get past 10:30-11:00 on the day you have to start getting really cautious about over trading because for small cap 60-70% of the trading could be done for the day. Not exactly what Ross was talking about here but just another simple example to keep in mind. And NEVER over buy the number of shares that late in the day.

I've enjoyed seeing you rank the market, and corroborate my findings. I am also relieved to see that even you, our (my) mentor can make the same kind of 'rookie' mistakes that many new traders encounter. In the most brotherly and respectful way, I love ya buddy.

Hi Ross. Love your videos. This challenge of trading a small account I find a bit misleading. For most of us, we don’t have the financial resources to use leverage. If we are in the red, how are we meant to pay the broker back with funds we don’t have? I think a more realistic challenge would have been to only have funds in that small account that don’t require leverage.

Hey ross. Thanks for the uploads. My account's been a bit of a rollercoaster - not quite in profit town yet, but at least I'm not hemorrhaging cash. Your video nailed some of the mistakes I've been pulling, especially the whole dance with stocks under $5. Trying to ride a 2$ gapper with 200 shares? Yeah, been there. With under 1k shares, you're practically battling commissions more than making gains.

13:50, on the 1 min that was a picture perfect rising wedge I could see it right away… Rising Wedge is typically a bearish pattern but volume is key. I can’t really see the volume with the acct balance in the way. They can break to the upside but more often than not they are bearish. That was purely technical I believe.

At 15:39 I believe that pop was the retest of the bottom of the wedge after it had fallen through which confirmed downside. Shorts were probably adding right here.

This is what gets me... i hesitate and hold thinking its not topped out, and then im stuck in the pullback... it's a trap I ALWAYS fall into.. then i'm stuck holding it because I'm too poor to just accept the loss and end up holding it sometimes for days just to pull it back out and break even :|

Traders with small accounts don’t usually have the luxury of leverage due to not having a backup of financial resources if things go south. I’m not sure about how realistic this challenge is for most of us that cannot trade on margin.

DANG ROSS!!!! everthing think you are saying is SO DANG TRUE!!! with your help from these videos I'm teaching myself to STOP doing this. Little by little... base hit after base hit is how I need to focus and start shutting down my emotions and like you said... Analytics needs to be my focus and execute on those Analytics is the key. easier said than done. hahaha! Thank you Ross for all that you do!

I had exactly that happen to me when I started a few weeks ago. Followed a newsletter on stock called NRHI and they kept saying it would go up more and not to sell and at one time it did and I was up 400$ and I was greedy and lost it all. The graph looked exactly like what you drew. Since then I have been cautious and doing better. I looked at stocks making big runs once morning and got a piece of HOLO and made up for my loss. Only been trading month and half. I still have much to learn and still probably full of stupid mistakes to make. 🤣

Had my best day today! was overcomplicating things learning too much useless info. took it back to basics and had an amazing day! 100% green trades, good risk reward ratios for each trade my least amount of trades in a day by far! the less i trade in a day the more i walk away with its interesting!

My biggest reasons explaining why retail traders fail:
-They abuse risk-to-reward thinking it's gonna make a difference (It doesn't)
-They always fight the current trend leg by trying to pick tops and bottoms
-They buy and sell off of any ol' support and resistance from far left, thinking it's gonna hold

Ross appreciate all the info you have shared over the years. I’ve been on my own journey and seems my strategy has converged with yours very closely(I trade the same stocks as you almost everyday). I’ve built a similar scanner to yours but slightly faster(spent 5years building it). I’m often in before you based on your reviews. The question I have is, from a scalability stand point(only trading 2k-4K, currently, slowly scaling up) what’s the max amount of cash that you think can be traded in the first two candles of most stocks you trade. I’m hoping 10-20k cash, is no issues with getting in. (Don’t have any level 2 data to do historical research at time of entry which is often first 1 or 2 candles for me)

I love these small account series and honestly believe Ross is one of the best day traders and most transparent traders on the planet. That said, I do not have the nerve to buy when the price action is so far above the fast MAs. With the small amount of price action Ross is seeking on these trades, some of these losing trades would have been winners if he bought in when the price action was bouncing off the moving averages instead of extended way above it.
Very often, not always but maybe 40% of the time he cuts a loss then the price action bounces off of the averages and hits his target. So truly, he is taking winning trades too soon on many of his losing trades. I’m saying that his win rate is much higher than he thinks.
What he does really well is he quickly cuts his losses. This is much harder to do than he makes it seem. Even his small losses seem large because when he goes in, he goes in BIG.
All that said, most of us could make a comfortable living being half as successful as Ross is.

Ross - thanks for sharing your talents with us. My question is that I've been in Options Trading for 8 months now with an expensive group, and I'm down 70%. But still have just under 2k in my account. Will your strategies work in Options Trading? I want to switch to stocks, but not sure I'm ready to take on more pressure of the off-shore account, Level 2 setup, setting up scanners, etc. What's your advice. Thank you!
