Lex's "Shoot them Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter, find they bodies all in the seasons" Line sent me, that has got to be my second favorite double entendre of all time
Not only that, but the number of different rhymes that are in her hook are crazy! Pretty amazed how smoothly it's put together with all the time constraints
I like that Team Evergreen took death as a metaphor for a dying relationship. I wish it wasn’t soo cliche though. The lines were too abstract and kinda basic in my opinion but I like the overall concept!
I agree about the lines being cliche and basic but they only had 2 hours. In a limited time frame it’s a lot easier to write cliche/basic lines than creating innovative lines
I liked Dear Evergreen's production better. But Lex really shone here, and Simon's production showcased that. Or maybe Lex just shone through. They are all great artists but really Lex is the breakout.
to be honest beats outside of the hiphop genre are often way more complicated and more easily observed as better productions because pop songs switch up very often in sound so she might seem like the better producer but to be honest u need to hear them make the same genre with more then 2 hours to really see who got the best beats between the 2 of em also trap beats in general are pretty simple

Doubt is just undermining your capabilities, and at times doubt may be reality but it can also be impractical little demons giving you false thoughts. The latter is the doubt Lex had.

I'm doing a masters of education and in highly talented and gifted students, self-doubt, depression and anxiety are way more common. I think you are more critical of yourself because you hold yourself to a higher standard, perhaps you have a better self-awareness about your weaknesses too and ruminate more often.

The way labels work is they lend you a large sum of money for marketing and production but after you make your album and go on tour you have to pay the back, so basically your in tremendous debt where you may not ever get out of. That's why being a one hit wonder is the worst thing on earth, you have a great time at first but then your underperform the label drops you and you gotta keep paying them while they earn money of your masters
Meg seems like such a sweet heart! Loved seeing her work with the equally sweet Evergreen! And Lex...ho my gosh that song sent shivers up my spine! Her flow and word choice is amazing! Both teams did so well, I can 100% see how it was a close match. Congrats to the winners! 💕💕
The pairings here were great I think the producers really vibed well with their artists. Both were incredibly impressive for two hours, they sound like legitimate songs they spent a lot of time on!

Both songs are great but Headhunting really reminded me why I fell in love with Hip-hop. So that's my choice. That said a battle rapper has kinda advantage over just about any one in a contest that involves writing a song very quickly. Its almost unfair.
Nah cause a rapper has to write way more because they say more much faster. Singers can hold out the notes to gain time and use less words. And then there’s the slow tempo versus fast for the two genres they used.
Hippity Hoppitus it’s fair and yes rappers have better experience in writing fast but if you’re really good you can make a pop song that’s so good it’ll beat head hunting 🤷♀️
