I don't think they understood that the ref took away 2 points because of the hip toss and then with the knockdown it made the 1st round 8-8 then the 2nd round they gave it to the blue corner then with the third round they gave it to the red corner resulting in a draw.
In conclusion: Next look at where the red holds up 2 fingers then you'll know he took 2 points away and not 1.😂

How bad are the commentators, the ref took 2 points off not 1. He clearly held up 2 fingers. It should have been a straight DQ but its R'n'R so he probably didnt want to cause mayhem.
With the knockdown and the 2 points made round 1 a 8-8 round and they both took a round each.
So it was a draw, although it should have been a DQ.
As the years have rolled on and the quality of the fighters has gotten arguably better the announcers still haven't studied the rules for boxing and it's fucking embarrassing. Imagine you were doing a commentary on beer league baseball and didn't understand all the rules. You would be fired or at worst publicly humiliated at best. Since the average person doesn't even understand the rules to boxing I'm not surprised by the commentary. What I am is embarrassed for them.
How many of these events have these same announcers hosted and still don't understand how boxing works? Fucking embarrassing. I would excuse it for the first 4 or 5 events, but at this point there's no excuse for being this deliberately ill informed.
Another Fight that made me happy
That hip toss was not for the people, it's got nothing to do with Boxing period, Burns found a place to show boat again and should've been ousted & disqualified right then & there. You allowed this clown to stay and yet suspended the Spanish guy for a double leg take down. You need to keep the rules even across the board.

As was pointed out by @vivalastyles3488, the referee took -2 points from the Lord Burns, so its a 10-8 round now, BUT, he came back and won the 1st round which made it a 9-9 round. Lord Burns won round 2 and Murphy won round 3 close 3rd round, hence the draw. I also feel Lord Burns should of been disqualified in the 1st round period, I think it's the referees discretion maybe, but I would of DQed him. It was a close fight because of Lord Burns stupid shenanigans in round 1, otherwise it's an easy win on points.

So R&R allows cheap shot dirty wrestling in a boxing match. Thats very unfair to the fighters that prepare by the rules to fight by the rules. Its clear none of the commentaters have ever boxes or fought. If so they would have demanded the DQ on the hip toss. Either have it as mma or boxing, dont make the rules only to break them.

The commentators aren't too bright. Ref took 2 points away for the takedown. Also, somebody said, Looks like Goose, and the commentator thought they were talking about Goose Gossage and nobody was bright enough to correct him. Top Gun, Dummy!

You can make a case for a draw but the stronger case is that blue won. The last round was close, I have a feeling the hip toss annoyed the judges so they gave the las round to red.

It's a BOXING match. It's a cheap shot and would have gotten him disqualified anywhere else. The other boxer was not prepared to defend against a hip toss bc they were BOXING. Slamming a guy that was boxing is highly illegal. It's an unfair advantage on a person that was fighting by the rules.
