I've had this puzzle for years and couldn't solve it. Yours is the only one that shows very clearly the steps. I got stuck when I couldn't make the front and back match exactly when I put the end of the ring in the hole just above the main slot. I've known of this puzzle for quite a while but I've never actually seen it out of the box. I had always assumed it was just a single star piece that you had to get the ring off of. Now I realize it's actually 2 star pieces that rotate, that makes it way more interesting! I only watched the video up to the spoiler break. I plan on purchasing this one soon and figuring it out for myself! Thanks!

my 6yr old grandson solved this in less than 2 min and i have spent hours on it. i think i need to empty a box of toothpicks on to the floor and then take him to Vegas!
Hi, I'd figured out how to get it to go horizontal, but i came to this video because despite me being able to make it horizontal i couldnt figure out how to get the ring out from that point as it gets stuck horizontal and i can no longer move it without force. To give a better explanation once ive almost spun the ring to a horizontal position one end always just gets further pushed along the hole of the ring and so i cant easily just let it come out like you did to the opening of the stars to separate them
Could someone explain these "cut outs" and "C-shapes" everyone is taking about is? As far as I see everything is the exact same on each side just mirrored.
Hello Michal, thoroughly examine each side of the puzzle. You will find there are five holes in on each side. Three of them are identical with cutout at the bottom part. One has no cutouts and one has cutout on a right side. You have to put a ring in a way that each tail of it will go through part with cutout on a right side. Same pattern has to be on each side. Now you can disassemble the ring from the star with s tricky move.

well, i managed to find something. two peaks of the star, has an C-shaped sort of cut out on it. is that it what i am looking for?
Yes, you are right. С-shaped cut out on each side.
i managed to put the two peaks with the c-shaped cut outs above each other. one cut out is on the bottom right, and the other is on the top and left.
You have to make the same pattern on each side. Each peak has to be at the top of the C-shape.
i got this just so i could have the spinny star part lol.
