Hey great video! I was going to make a video on the 4.3 firmware update, but your video is super clear. You pretty much said everything I would have said 🙂👍. I'm going to direct my viewers your way for the 4.3 update when I make my next "how to" video for the tinygo. Great work! Keep it up 👏👏
Hi dude. First of all, thanks a lot for all your content. Its awesome. Had a quick question for you, I saw in another video that there's a couple of UART ports on the TinyGo 4k FC, I was wondering if you made or came across of any videos showing how to solder a GPS to this drone.
I think it is too funny that we are both in Colorado and both have a TinyGo and Baby Ape. Ha ha ha. My brother in another area code but same side of the mountains 🙂
Hi Nick. Can you share info on your mods to your TinyGO? Antennaes especially. I just bought a Skyzone04L and was curious on antennae I should replace the stock with. Thanks for all your informative videos on the TinyGO!
Hi Nick, I would really appreciate your help. My 10 year old son saved up and bought this drone (RFT kit) for himself. We followed all of your instructions, including overcoming the issue of Beta-flight not wanting to flash the firmware, sorted that out with Impulse Driver fixer. Unfortunately, now we can't seem to get the drone to bind with the original flight controller - could you please direct me. Found instructions online that tells us to hold down the bind button and then turn on the controller which will then have the controller's light start flashing. Then press and hold the frequency key of the receiver with tweezers or a pen and then plug in the drone batteries. Once the drone powers up, the drone and controller will bind automatically. That is not the case...
My first guess is maybe the firmware changed or reset the ports tab in betaflight. Are you getting any lights on the receiver when trying to bind? If everything seems to be correct and still can’t bind, try going back down a firmware so if you’re on 3.1.0 try flashing back to 3.0.0 to see if it comes back
I just bought this drone, I’m new in the hobby, I’m a dji drone user, and for some reason i was trying to fly in angle mode and it wasn’t stable at all, I crashed several times, I thought it was the props but they are ok, in the right place each one, I checked the vtx too, and it was 25. What can be the problem? Why is not stable in angle mode?
the drone just turns on and makes no sound, the radio stops flashing as if it were connected, but no command appears on the goggles and also on betaflight.
Hi Nick. Can you help me with my setting for yaw on my TinyGo? It’s new, bought last month, March 2023, and still has factory settings but the yaw is super sensitive when flying on angle and horizontal mode. I’m getting back into this hobby so I need to brush up on my flying skill and would like to tone down the sensitivity via BetaFlight. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Also what length was the True RC antenna on your TinyGo? Thanks again! -Dave
Yes, it will connect the same way as the current receiver on the tinygo. This video shows how to connect an r81 receiver to the tinygo but it should be the same process for the r-xsr ua-cam.com/video/dfBcfwlJ6f8/v-deo.html
Hi Nick, great video! I have my first TinyGo and it was not a good start, crashed on maiden flight 😫 So I started searching for information about repairing and I found your channel. TOP! First it was completely dead. I'm still not flying, but I can bind now back with the controller. In Beatflight the stick movements are working but when I power with the batteries the pitch/yaw/roll are working, no throttle at all. Maybe you have an suggestion to check? Keep up making your good video's. Really nice! 👍👍

I already put the card in the drone... how to configure? can you make a video explaining it? can you configure the aux button to record the drone's 4k in betaflight? thanks for the content!
I can definitely make a video for this. But until then, there is a small black button on the side of the recording board that is used to start and stop recording, when recording a red led will light up on that board. To change the settings for the camera and recording board, you have to use the extra joystick board that should have came with the kit. It’s the one with the green and black wires. Plug that into the available green and black plug on the recording board, power up the drone, make sure you’re not recording, and then you can press the joystick to open the settings menu. Hope this helps
Hello I have a problem. after upgrading to 4.3 and choosing the presets and loading the backup the pitch channel doesn't work. the drone cannot fly because the pitch is always on minimum. in the receiver tab of betaflight the command does not respond but the other channels of the station work fine. Hi! I updated the firmware on my drone and now it does not respond to the remote control. The remote control and transmitter are connected to each other, the red LED is on. But the drone itself and Betaflight do not respond to the remote control. What could be the problem?
It’s possible the update may have turned off or changed the uart for your receiver in betaflight. If that looks like it’s correct, you may just have to rebind the receiver to the controller. Let me know if this helps
@@719FPV I made rebind, but it didn't help me. Then I found information that I need to fill in the SBUS settings to the drone. But I only found version for 2.2.5. Hey man, I have a tinygo 4K. So I followed this and everything seemed to work great as far as betaflight saying "successful." The only problem is now its like my receiver is no longer there. I changed it to a R81 so I can fly it with my TX16S and had no problem upgrading it. It worked awsome for a good 4 months or so. But now after flashing it, my radio is not doing anything with the drone even though it IS bound and telemetry IS present. Any suggestions for me to try to get back flying?
I would check the rx is set correctly in the ports tab, flashing can reset it sometimes. Then I’d try reflashing. And if it’s still not working try flashing back to the older firmware you were using and see if it comes back then
You definitely don’t have to do anything to the tinygo to start flying, it’s good to go right out of the box. But you’ve got this, it’s easier than it seems
I have not tried 4.3.1 yet but probably will be soon. And the auto detect is probably preferable but if for some reason it doesn’t work, the drop down bar will work
